Good food, nice place to go with friends. It is a bit loud for a date though. Have not had a bad meal.

My wife hates seafood and sushi so it was a surprise when she brought me here for my birthday. Since then it has become one of our favorite places to eat and my wife has since found out she likes their salmon and Idaho sushi rolls. Great place for medium to large size parties with a great selection of beers and wines to choose from. Food portions are generous and the all you can eat crab truly is all you can eat. They actually have more portions brought before you’re finished with the last portion. Great dessert menu and they update the menu every few months which keeps the selections fresh. Love this place!

What a great place for lunch — modern look — great service and fantastic seafood. It’s hard to get good seafood in the middle of the country let alone in Greeley so finding LuckyFins was a rare treat. I have been back 5 times in total in the last 8mths and every time i have been impressed. It’s one thing to do a good job once or even twice but all 5 times have been great. I love the fish taco’s but everything and everyone I have taken has really enjoyed the food. Thanks for caring and doing a great job.

Waited over an hour to be seated since we had a big group. Bummer The food: I feel that when good, fresh ingredients are used, the result can’t help but be good. The review starts w that, the food is good because fresh Ingredients are used. A must for good sea food. Fish tacos-fish was perfect. The pico, sauce and mayo were a bit rich. Rice needed a bit more tang. California rolls: clean and simple, as they should be. Hamachi– delicious Oysters in the half– fresh, cold and if you like oysters, delicious. Fire and ice prongs: the gazpacho was amazing. Couscous was well cooked. All veggies were crisp and tasty. Prongs were well cooked. All together it made for a good meal. A beautiful plate. Fish and chips: a good uncomplicated fried mess. Salmon w giant scallop– fish was done perfectly, the veggies were heavy on the balsamic. Crab legs w steak– tenderloin was a bit smokey. A bit odd. Crabs legs were fine. Veggies, again a bit too much balsamic. Fried shrimp w fries: Fries were great and the shrimp is what you’d expect. I’ll come back and stick w fish and chips or, and this is more likely, their sushi. Their service is fine but nothing to write about.

When Lucky Fins first opened, they had many selections for gluten free without seafood — which was awesome! Now, the non-seafood gluten free options are very minimal. Would have given them a 5-star review but they have not increased options for gluten free without seafood.

We ordered the lucky platter mainly to taste the coconut shrimp. When it came out the coconut shrimp was burnt black, if I was the kitchen manager that would not have left the kitchen or placed on a plate for a customer. We told waitress she said she couldn’t do anything about it but offer a jumbo shrimp. Really 1 jumbo shrimp to replace 3 burnt coconut shrimps. 1 star for that decision of kitchen staff and wait staff, the calamari we give 4 stars was not over done and tasted good. We also ordered smoked plank salmon– cooked well, the cheeseburger was delicious and seasoned well 5 stars on cheeseburger, now pork sandwich was a 5 and came with a ton of meat. Sushi was good but rolls are small for the prices. Recommend sushi 1 if you want bigger sushi rolls.

The all you can eat crab legs is one of the best deals around. I mean real claws & they keep ‘em coming with all you can eat fries & salad. The service is consistently good and the poblano pepper and jalapeño soup is out of this world yummy.

Probably the best sea food place in Greeley, Susi is spot on, and my personal favorite is the fish and chips. Ask them to substitute Salmon for the cod for a amazing twist. I also enjoy their all you can eat crab, it is now only on Wednesday though instead of Sunday & Wednesday.

First time here, came after reading several good reviews. Deciding between Tokyo Salad and Chefs Choice Sushi on the board, waitress recommend the sushi. A few minutes later a roll with spicy tuna, salmon and that oranges mayo sauce arrives, not at all what I was expecting having ordered sushi. There’s nothing blatantly wrong with the roll, it’s just I’m a sushi and sashimi person who rarely if ever orders rolls, and then I never order anything with mayo sauces on it. If I’d known I was getting a roll and not sushi, I’d have found something I wanted, maybe a caterpillar, or rainbow roll. I came for sushi because my stomach was upset and sushi is my goto food at times like this. I suggest the correct the board so it says«roll» and not sushi, they’re different. I may return when I’m in town again, but now know you need specifically order sushi and not some sushi special.

Lucky Fins stands alongside a line of commonplace storefronts in Center Place mall. There was no menu or other helpful information in the windows. My waiter explained that the restaurant has done little advertising, relying instead on word of mouth, which another otherwise superb Greeley restaurant is also doing. Parking is a massive shopping center parking lot. You will navigate parked vehicles and cross a lane of traffic to reach the restaurant, unless someone drops you off at curbside. I was impressed with the good organization, well-trained staff, and that the staff were personally invested in the restaurant’s success. Arriving just after the traditional lunch hour, I was seated right away. There was a good size crowd in attendance. Nearly all the tables had customers. There was almost no one at the bar. Lucky Fins’ blue walls gives a peaceful sense which is countered by the loudness of normal conversation magnified by the warehouse-like acoustics. A whimsical three-sectional picture of a fish skeleton(it looks better than it sounds) hangs high on one wall. Seafood is only one-third of who they are. Another third could be represented by a buffalo head. The final third is their sushi. Actually, though, I like the décor, and hope they don’t mess it up with a buffalo or bag of rice. The booths are alright but nothing to write home about. The table seating is modern, but that means a little hard on the posterior. Our table was clean, silverware wrapped in a paper napkin. Chopsticks were brought with my dish without my having to ask for them. My server happily handed me a menu within seconds of my being seated, and offered to answer any questions. I asked three; he knew the answer to each. He also offered to read me the restaurant’s specials of the day, which were also on a wall screen, which reading I declined, at which wall screen I glanced, and to whose menu I turned my attention. The menu was a little large, but not unwieldy. But it was so strange. «Seafood — Sushi — Grill» — what’s that? Lucky Fins is not just about seafood. It is American Grill meets Sushi-Fusion. There were three tacos: Mahi Mahi, Lobster, and Halibut. Hamburgers, salads, soups, everything had a twist on it. This is the place to come to try something new. Several sushi selections were unfamiliar: the Aloha has bacon; the Dragon Roll has habanero masago. I ordered The High Roller! The High Roller is «spicy tuna, spicy hamachi, jalapeño and shrimp, topped with red crab, spicy aioli, sesame seeds & green onions.» The plating put the highlight on the food, arranged neatly along a dark rectangular plate. But I had never seen sushi with shredded crab, and sauce trailing over it. And the sauce? I’ll bet most people will love it. With the sauce, and with the way the crab and onion covered the sushi, rather than having been carefully spooned onto each one individually, the dish was like a salad, which in this case was kind of a fun idea. My waiter placed soy sauce on my table, but he overlooked the wasabi and ginger. When I reminded him, he apologized and brought them right away. The wasabi was a little drier than I make it, and more tame. The ginger was pleasant. The soy sauce was good. But the sushi didn’t need any of those. The sushi already had its own sauce, and it’s own«heat.» Read the ingredients again. See where it says«jalapeño.» Guess what, we were into jalapeño season when we went, so they were not the mild version. Strips of jalapeño gave a wonderful crunch, but may be a bit spicier than some people will expect. The«spicy» in front of «tuna» and«hamachi,» on the other hand, turned out to be mild. I couldn’t help myself: I dipped the sushi in a mixture of soy sauce and wasabi. The combination was great. The menu holds much promise for future visits, and I know the energetic staff will make those visits enjoyable. My main objection is the use of «krab» — that word should never appear on a menu! The menu advertises hamachi in The High Roller Sushi, and yellowtail in the Sashimi. Go figure. I have no complaint to direct at the restaurant about the prices. Today’s economy of faster rising prices is the culprit, not the restaurateurs. The serving was good sized, and the price was in keeping with current prices. Lucky Fins’ happy hour is weekdays four to six in the evening, when some dishes are half-price! Either go because the food is worth the price, or go during happy hour because you can get the food at half price. There are too many unwaveringly conformist restaurants, and too few good seafood restaurants in our area. Lucky Fins brings seafood fusions, tempting new American Grill combinations, and culinary excitement to the Greeley-Weld food scene. ボナペティ!

This place has an interesting menu. It’s my truly a sushi restaurant, their nigiri was yellow tail or tuna. The expansive menu ranges from rolls to burgers and fries to pasta or steak. I was quiet puzzled by exactly what kind of food place to consider this. For sushi, more roll heavy but had some interesting concepts. Most rolls had aioli on them. Wouldn’t consider it the best sushi, but we were in Greeley CO, what is to be expected. Fairly large restaurant, lots of seating. We came in on a Friday evening and wait was not too bad. The calamari was very tender. Service was extremely on top of it for how busy they were, I think I had 12 ice teas! Can’t complain. Great option considering where we were! If you are looking for a traditional sushi restaurant you may opt for somewhere else but Lucky Fin was the perfect fit for a family with different food tastes and needs.

Good God this place is awesome. The pieces vary from about $ 6 for soups and salads to $ 34 for the endless crab on Sunday and Wednesday, but my favorite is the mango shrimp tacos that are only $ 8.99 for the tacos with lots of little shrimps and rice that us great to mix with anything that escapes from the first bite. The staff are really nice and they always have fresh specials and a large variety top fit any craving. A real gem in cow town, so try it out already!
