I used to come here all the time in college(8 yrs ago), and I was so excited to be back! Unfortunately, it did not live up to my memory :( Service was slow, and my carroli had too much cheese, and very little other toppings. My boyfriend found plastic in his. I don’t know if the restaurant has gone down, or if my standards improved since college… but 8 yrs ago this place would have got 5 stars. Though I was disappointed, I will be back next time I’m in Greeley. Hope it was just an off day

I live in Lakewood and had to work this weekend, my dad lives in Greeley. I thought it would be clever to send him pizza pie for Father’s Day. He LOVEDIT! Always searching for a good, non chain restaurant, he was overly impressed! Also thank you to Order Up for their service.

This is obviously a favorite spot for the college kids in the area and it was certainly popular while I lived in Greeley. We went back this weekend to catch up with old friends and had to stop for dinner. We had an artichoke dip appetizer and it was delicious! It was served with bread chips which were good but we really would have loved some carrots and celery to dip it it for a less carb packed app. The pizza is good too. The key is to add cream cheese. It makes the pizza. My only complaint is the time it takes to get drinks and food. You wait longer than ideal to get service but the waitresses are usually really friendly and seem to be busy, thus the delays.

My husband and I come here quite often. Our favorite is the Hot House in either their caroli or pizza… yummy!

Best Pizza close to campus. Try the hot house! Usually go for there half price pizza night, but the all you can get spaghetti is good too. Keep up the good work guys.

This is my Favorite Romas in Greeley by far. There are many ups and a few downs to this location, however. The food is great! They do charge for sauces but they give you such a big size so i never mind. The staff is usually very friendly but they have a habit of taking forever to get drinks and food out but they have never gotten my order wrong! You can tell that the staff is very catty. I go frequently enough to tell some of the servers dont get along and I dont think the customers should not be able to see that. There is one waitress in particular but I dont want to put her on the spot but shes been there a long time but you can tell she«runs» things from the way she talks to the other waitstaff. Im sure shes good, ive never been sat in her section. I will keep returning and recommending to friends.

The 2 stars is for the 16th location. Ever since management changed, this place has gone down hill quickly. The service isn’t good. The waitstaff seems to be distracted with talking to their friends that come in instead of taking care of customers. The last 3 times we’ve been here there has been something wrong or missing from our order. Once it was wrong drink orders, next time the garlic toast never came, and the last time they gave my husband a caroli instead of a pizza. I’ve also noticed a huge difference in the quality of food. We’ve gotten charred garlic toast, Luke warm pizza, and the quality of some of the meat toppings has gone down. If you’re gonna go to Roma’s go to the one on 10th. The service has always been great there and they do the crust perfect!

Great tasting food! The portions of Carolis at this Roma are more akin to large Hot-Pockets than the one out west. They used to be bigger before the new ownership took over a while back. The new menu is overwhelming. Give me Carolis, Pizza, Spaghetti and Sandwiches & Salads. Everything else on the menu just doesn’t need to be there. Do what you do best and stick with THAT. I’ve been going here for 20yrs and for the last 5 I’ve been choosing the one out west for the larger portions. Don’t get me wrong, I love ROMAS and never want to see it go, but just bring back the normal sized Carolis and cut that menu down to what you’re best at making.

I really love Roma. The one closest to the UNC campus is the most fun and lives up to being a kind of divey but cool college hangout. I really enjoy the pizza and their drink specials are great, especially because they have the«bazooka» size. That being said, their service is definitely lacking. My friends and I once waited, completely ignored, for just our drink order to be taken for over 20 minutes. We eventually had to actually go up to a waitress to be served. Following that catastrophe, two of our three drinks were delivered pretty promptly and then we waited for over 15 minutes for the third one to come. We were offered no compensation besides a few apologies and left, somewhat disgruntled. The pizza often takes a long time to make, no matter when you go, so be prepared to wait. On busy nights, it can even take a while to be served a drink if you order at the bar. The wait staff are often unprofessional and loiter around chatting with friends who are dining in rather than doing their jobs. The pizza is great, though, as is the ambiance. If you go, especially from late afternoon onwards, be prepared to wait. It’s fun and it’s a great place to hang out, but it’s not exemplary.

The pizza is aight’, but if you’re looking for a place to get a drink go somewhere else. ITDOESN’T TAKE25MINUTESTOMAKE A DRINK! But at this establishment, it does. The incompetence of the staff is appalling. I ordered a bazooka on a Friday night, yeah it was packed, but the kitchen was closed so there was nothing else to focus on. I finally got my drink after a long wait and order a second one a little later. I never got it and waited over half an hour. The waitress then acted like it was my fault for ordering a second drink. A wiser fella than I once said that pizza is like sex: even when it is bad it is good. I respectfully disagree. Roma has 3 locations, the one off 16th St being the original. I love watching the college kids make the pizza more than I like the actual pizza. Monday is half-off pizza day, and possibly they put only half-an-ass into the pizza that day as well. The crust is dry and far too floury. Their sauce fluctuates between weak and watery to astringent. Toppings are good, beer is cold. The service at this location is below average. For the culinary wasteland that is Greeley, Roma is pizza. Like sex after 25 years of marriage, 25 years of Roma is kinda sad and not very satisfying.

I loved the pizza crust, crisp thick end but the bottom was chewy. The toppings were plentiful but bland for a meat pizza. The sauce was excellent, lots of basil but not sweet. The staff was. understaffed but apologies were given before we were seated so expectations were low. I got a 10″ all meat pizza but I ordered a meatball pizza. No complaints since I was considering that pie but still. My awesome wife ordered the lasagna that she really enjoyed but unfortunately it was cold in the center. They had a good beer selection but they were out of the beer that I ordered but I got a good local IPA in a «bazooka» that I could hardly finish, my wife had a pint of local wheat beer that she enjoyed. The atmosphere and décor was great. A mix of college students, middle age couples, a family and 30 somethings filled the place. We were surrounded with hippy band posters and laminated in the tables. Everything else was like a time warp of an 80’s pizza parlor but it worked. Thumbs up besides the flaws.

Back in the day(10 years ago) I would have given this place 5 stars. Now I can truly only give it two stars based on the food. The food is delicious, if you don’t have any other things like dead flies in it. We saw the cooks swatting flies right over their prep area and never once saw them wipe the area down. The service was slow and the food came out wrong to all three tables that were in there during that time. The server tried to make up an excuse about it so she wouldn’t lose a tip, but it was obvious people were not taking care and respecting the food or business. If I were the owner I would retrain and rehire. Sad to say but so very true.

I do not know why it’s called a caroli here, but it’s their version of a calzone. Which means its a calzone with a weird name. But it’s good. Roma’s is a college dive place, but the food is good, and I’m a huge fan of their sauce. It’s worth checking out.

Roma is a tradition in Greeley, especially the original location. But I’m old enough I remember when it was Santeramo’s(before Santeramo’s moved). It’s an ‘ok’ divey, hipster, collegiate locale. The food is decent, but not extravagant. They could try to clean it up once in a while –it’s a bit grungy with old grease and food particles all over. They could also try to have at least a little better service. It used to be better, it’s like Roma’s — at least at this location — is just getting tired and in a rut. They need to revitalize.
