One: They don’t have waffles Two: Servers literally complained about being at work the entire time. Not coming back.

Went to griddles on Friday night. Ordered my sandwich sat and wait for just a couple of minutes. Waitress brought me my sandwich and at the same time two black thugs come in the back door with 45 automatic pistols. Me and everyone else in the store ended up getting robbed. The waitresses were fantastic the way they treated the customers. When they called the manager the manager says well I might come down. This is one manager that does not believe in coming to the aid of his employees. Much less the customers in the store. Don’t judge the restaurant actions of the manager. The waitresses are great the food is great and the prices are very reasonable I will still be back. But next time I will be carrying.

Service was prompt although I was the only customer. The big shoes to fill in regards to chili was George Webb. This place did not even come close. The least they could’ve done was make a chili similar to what George Webb customers are used to. It’s not very good at all. Huge chunks of hamburger, tomatoes and beans. An idiot could make it! Hash browns are horrible, again stay with the flavor of the regulars! Dirty, bathrooms gross, extremely unattractive waitress… This was not a success!

Good breakfasts, good service, good coffee. It’s also about serving good quality ingredients, real whole wheat toast, quality bacon and sausage. Clean counters and tables, good parking. I look forward to going back again and again.

Griddlers Café terrible food! I’m sorry but I’m not! The service was wonderful but the food noooo! I heard so much about this place and how great the food was from my own flesh and blood my sister. Obviously she has bad taste! So I went there one morning and I ordered biscuits and gravy I mean come on simple dish, right?! Well they failed to execute a wonderful and hearty breakfast! It makes me upset cause I was really looking forward to it. But they give me my food and I take a big bite of cold biscuits and gravy with sausage. So that went bad! So I thought I’d give it another try one day this is where this really gets me upset. So I try something that they are supposedly known for«the jalapeño burger» with the potato cubes on the side. This time my food was hot, still great service but come on this has to be the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life! The taste wasn’t great the egg was just overdone just terrible! The potato cubes over done. Oh and they give you this sticker saying I went to Griddler’s and had the jalepeno hangover burger. When it really should state I survived the jalepeno hangover burger! My advice step it up on the food!

Ok went for a late breakfast/lunch yesterday so I figure I got write a review. I’ve been here many times since its close to home and they always have breakfast. Atmosphere: the tables are old and not much has changed since it changed over from George Webb’s. The place could use more than just some new paint on the walls. I do give them credit for the place always being clean. The crowd is pretty old in the mornings. Service: Not the best. Sometimes you can hear and see the staff arguing. They seem to get flustered when it gets busy around lunch rush. Yesterday our waitress didn’t bother coming back to our table after someone else brought us the food and it was a first time this has happened. They like being extra talkative and friendly to the old regulars and I really don’t know why because most don’t tip. Maybe the conversations help them get through the shift IDK. Or maybe because we used coupons but we always tip. Food: The breakfast is always consistently made good. Nothing too complicated in the menu so not much can go wrong. I really enjoy the chilli. I don’t think it’s made 100% from scratch but it’s pretty good compared to other places and for $ 3.99 a bowl it’s not bad. Burger combos run around $ 6 not including a drink. The food is not wow 4 star spectacular but it beats going to a fast food joint. I recommend biscuits with gravy and any burger with fries. Those and the chilli are my favorite things from the menu. Overall: A notch above average and better than fast food is how I describe Griddlers. I can’t guaranty you will be greeted with a smile or given superb service but for the price breakfast and burgers are an awesome deal. The food is made to order and not sitting around ready to be nuked. Check the junk mail paper and you will always find coupons and that really offer great deals. If you want a change or don’t feel like making breakfast give this place a try.

If you come here, the best time is on Friday nights because that’s when Bonnie works. She is attentive and cares about the customers. She also makes you feel good about yourself while you’re there and if you return, she remembers everything you two talked about last time you were there. The taste of the food is mediocre and the prices are higher than they should be but still a good place to eat when you want something a little higher up than fast food.

You know that place you always pass by, say you’re going to eat there someday, you don’t for the longest time and when you do it’s like OMG I should have been eating here a long time ago… This is not that place. I so wanted this to be like Mickey’s diner or Flame Burger in MN, the open 24 hours serve breakfast all day joints that just taste like heaven when you’re having a late night drunken escapade. All the food is frozen, and basically they reheat it for you. The place was clean and the waitresses were nice but the next time I want a cheeseburger at 11pm, I’ll run to McDonald’s.

I’ve been meaning to get around to check the place out after they changed over from George Webb’s. I had recently purchased a half price voucher for Griddler’s and me and my boyfriend decided to give it a try last night. We started off with a cup of the Fireman’s Chili. We both enjoyed it. It was seasoned right, had a right amount of spice to it and for no extra charge you get to choose 2 items to go with the chili. I kept it simple with just cheese & sour cream. I’ve ordered the chicken strips with fries and this came with cole claw. Not a fan of cole slaw and passed it over to my boyfried. He did say it was good, so for all you fans of cole slaw he gave 2 thumbs up to it. The chicken was juicy, not dried at all. He had the single patty BLT burger and enjoyed it. I found out that 7 days a week from 5am-10am you can get 2 pancakes, 2 eggs and 2 pieces of bacon/sausage for $ 2.99. Looks like I will be making a trip there one of these weekends.

Alright, what the hell is a Griddler? Bauer means farmer. Tischer means table/cabinet maker. Griddler? Not a real thing. I looked it up. I grew up very close to this former George Webb. So close that I could have rolled out of bed and into a Super George just by missing the bathroom. Long story short, I’d had some beverages at a local watering hole and for my own safety spent the night at my parents house. Woke up in less than great shape and needed some grease in my life. Ordered the Old Fashion Egg Burger(This is not an old fashioned thing. They are definitely not shy about lying to me.) and it was ok. The hashbrowns were soggy. Shittay. I think the gal who waited on me has been here for years. She was very nice and kept the coffee and water coming. She was my best friend that morning. Overall, it doesn’t seem much different than the GW Lounge. The menu is a bit more interesting, but it is largely the same. A good bet if you dig that sort of thing. In this neighborhood you better, because this is all you got.

I was pleasantly surprized by the good food & service. I was expecting greasy george webb food, but my sandwich had good bread and was light and fresh(blt). The chili was really good, service was basic, but good, no complaints. The place is sunny & bright. The prices were super affordable! We will b back fer shur.

I have been a loyal fan my entire life of the previous chain restaurant that Griddlers Café defected from, so I was a bit hesitant to try out this new café. I was pleasantly surprised. There hasn’t been much remodeling done, and the employees seem to be the same. They have a pretty basic menu right now, but from what the waitress said, they are working on expanding the menu as they are able to get in new items from distributors. I went in for breakfast, but had heard the burgers where much better than before so I had an egg burger with home potatos. The bun and burger itself where a bit bigger than previously, and just as(OK…maybe more) tasty! The home potatos where small cubed potatos, and where pretty yummy as well. We didn’t have any coupons, but when the bill came it had a coupon attached for a breakfast for $ 2.99(eggs, toast, potatos and bacon). That is Great customer service if you ask me! I will definitely be going back. There is a jalapeño«hangover» burger than I am gonna have to try!
