Kobe Hibachi Sushi and Bar

Well made reservations for 6:30 got there at 6:20 waited for 45 minutes to be seated, then found out another party with reservations ahead of us were still waiting to be seated. Manager wouldnt come speak to us. I wouldn’t bother going here customer service was terrible. What is the point of reservations?!

Stopped here on a trip between VT and CT. Sat at the hibachi grill. Our server and the chef were both friendly and efficient. The hibachi performance was great and the food was good. If hunger strikes in the viscosity again, we’d definitely go back.

Great food, great service, taste was excellent and will be going back for sure. Highly recommended, bar service is quite slow though.

We used to go here all the time since they opened and the food was great. Now however the are pulling some sort of scam where you ask for lunch, and you get lunch, but when the bill comes you get charged crazy money. On our last visit we ordered the same meals off the lunch menu and when we got the bill 2 of us got charged $ 10 per meal (the correct amount) and the 3^rd person in our party got charged $ 19.55! We all got the same food and the same amount of food but one gets charged almost double. When I questioned them on it they pulled the «Oh no, you ordered supper». Well if one of us had ordered supper they would have gotten way more food and the supper menu included shrimp, and noodles which were not part of any of our meals. We have easily spent over $ 1,000.00 with this restaurant but now they lost 3 regular customers and we will warn everyone we know to stay away.

Very nice lunch specials. The 3 rolls for $ 10 is a great deal, and you’ll leave pleasantly full. The eel/​avo/​cucumber roll in particular is a nice combination.

We had a great meal here. Wonderful food, and a great wait staff. Very funny people, very entertaining. I definitely recommend this restaurant for a fun exciting evening. The hibachi man was hilarious, and we were seated within a reasonable time. 5 stars

A friend suggested that this restaurant had excellent sushi & sashimi. I drove up from Amherst with a friend on a Saturday night. We arrived at 7:30pm and was seated right away in a booth. There was a wait for the habachi tables. Our waitress did not understand English too well, which was awkward at first. We received our sushi/​sashimi combo plates with miso soup and salad, as ordered, in a reasonable time. The food was of highly superior quality along with an attractive presentation! The waitstaff was very kind and attentive and was genuinely happy that we enjoyed our meal so much. I will be returning for sure.

I would consider myself and my partner a regular at Kobe. We come here once or twice a week. The bar tender Leo is very friendly. The food is good and the prices are beyond reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.
The interior is modern and clean. I like the bar seating a lot. You have a great view of all the funny stuff going on at the hibachi tables.
Drinks are strong and well priced. Beer on tap is always perfect.
I really have no complaints. The sushi is good and the fish is fresh. I like the crazy roll and the Philadelphia roll. Mushroom soup is the BOMB! give it a try

nigiri is tender, fresh and tasty. but uneven. been here a few times. the tuna sashimi texture really varies. the thickness of the sashimi is surprising. at first I was excited about it – half-​inch thick – but now these hunks seem like too much.
rolls are well made and good; selection is conservative and fairly limited.
house salad is just what you’ve come to expect from Japanese restaurants. again, ymmv. tonight’s salad was drenched in dressing; another night, it was just right.
if you order a bento box, it will come with fried rice even though the menu says white. ASK for white if that’s your preference.
clear soup is flavorful.
service can be a tad tentative and slow.
no unsweetened ice tea; only sweet.
aesthetically, they need to do something with all the supplies being stored out in the open in the side room… maybe build cabinets and put the plates and napkins etc away? they detract from the ambience.
price is fair.
bathrooms are spacious and clean.
ample parking. same lot as Home Depot.

I am thrilled we now have sushi in greenfield! will likely be coming here regularly.

Excellent food and service! We drove about 30 minutes to give Kobe a try and we’ll gladly make the trip again! Most hibachi places have you sitting around waiting but not here. Very happy with our visit.

MMMMMMMMM… AMAZING…great fast service, Hibachi did not take an hour or longer like at most places and sharing an entrée and all the sides filled two of us. We did not need the octopus sashimi but that was also delicious and fresh. We had the red snapper which was great. The meal comes with soup, salad, shirmp, veggies, noodles, and rice. Beyond filling. Drinks were great, we tried the Lotus blossom, dark and stormy, and the love potion. Nothing to dislike here!

Yummy hibachi food! Love that you get noodles instead of the traditional sprouts you typically get with hibachi meals.

Only recently opened, has set a new standard for Asian cuisine. Hot tables for «performance» meals, another zone for quiet table eating, and a central bar. Choose your zone. I’ve dined here three times with friends and always delighted.

This place really exceeded my expectations. For less than 40 dollars my girlfriend and I got chiriashi, steak and shrimp (combination) hibachi, soup, salad, and tea. And it was all good. The fish was really really fresh, and the hibachi was delicious. I would totally come back here.

We were staying one night amd found a Unilocal deal for Kobe. We were greeted and seated immediately. The menu offered alot of choices. We both had hibachi. The chef was talented and entertaining. we had no wait and enjoyed soup and aalad during the cooking of the main meal. Price was reasonable. Ended up taking some home .alot of food. Sushi was also delicious

Sushi was best I’ve had in Greenfield. The décor seems to be a work in progress. We were there (by accident) on Karaōke night so the noise level was pretty loud.

This evening we stopped in at Kobe for the first time after hearing about the restaurant from some friends. When we walked in, the restaurant was fairly empty but we had to wait about 15 minutes until a chef became available.
When it came to our meal the sushi was delicious and the hibachi was incredible. We bought the crazy roll and the calamari hibachi which were the best we have had in a very long time.
The only issue we had was with the particular chef we had. The first thing that the chef said to our group was «You better stop eating your sushi so that you have room for the food.» This was insulting and made us feel uncomfortable.
When it came to his cooking overall it was great but the chef seemed off. We asked him how he was doing and he said «I’m okay, I have been better.» When we said, we hope we make your night better, he said «Don’t worry I will still put on a good show.» This was also uncomfortable and brought the experience down.
In the end, we enjoyed the food and ended up singing a little karaōke before we left. We hope that in the future our dining experience can be better because the food was incredible.

I was very pleasantly surprised about our experience here. It was absolutely wonderful. It was Friday night and we didn’t have hibachi reservations, but they still got us in. Two people took our drink orders and they were sweet and funny, joking around with us, and the prices were great. Tony was our hibachi chef and he did a good job. Plenty of sake. The food tasted great. We also sat at the bar later on and the staff was great there too. I hope they stay in Greenfield and keep up the good work for a long time.

I stopped in here after reading several of the other reviews. I was cautiously optimistic based on the reviews but my otherwise subpar dining experiences in Greenfield.
I was seated quickly, the staff was friendly, my sushi arrived in 10 minutes, and it was fresh and delicious. I love sushi, I dine out frequently, and have fairly high expectations. I would absolutely go back, and I would bring friends.
They do not have a lot of special sushi rolls, so if that’s important to you, you might be disappointed, but they do the basics very well!

This place surprised me! Really good food, clean, great atmosphere, and our chef was hilarious! Awesome having a hibachi place so close to home.
