Firehouse Subs

Although, they only have one option for vegetarian sandwiches, I love this place! Friendly staff, clean restaurant, good place to grab a quick bite!

Really enjoyed the service and food. My child was begging to come back before we had even finished eating. Great customer service!!!

You can’t go wrong with Firehouse Subs, one of my favorite places to get a great sandwich. Every sub I’ve tried from Firehouse has been excellent. They have many tasty choices on the menu, but I usually either get the Steak & Cheese the Engineer (smoked turkey, melted swiss, sauteed mushrooms) or the Hook & Ladder (smoked turkey, ham, melted Monterey Jack cheese), all 3 are super good. The bread & the toppings are always nice & fresh & the meats are of good quality. I just wish it was closer to my side of town.

This was my first time at a firehouse sub and i must say it was one of the best subs i have ever ate. Had to also get some to go wish we had one here in va. Firehouse Sub you rock

Glad we finally have a Firehouse near us, the one out near Eastchester is a little far to go on a regular basis for a sub, even a very good one, and some of the ones offered are indeed, very good. This one recently opened in a new strip center near Outback Restaurant.
We tried their 2^nd Alarm Chili, and it packs some heat, but it is a little pricey for the portion ($ 3.89, 50 cents more for extra cheese). The medium NY Steamer (pastrami and corned beef) is an interesting concept as to the meats, but seems kinda bread ridden in a sub roll. Might try it again with just mustard. Cost is $ 5.99.
The Italian (medium was also $ 5.99) was just ok. Rather lite on the meat and cheese, and the flavors were mild. There are more than a couple of Italian subs offered in this area that are much better, and a better value. Probably would not order this particular sandwich again.
Now the Steak & Cheese is another matter — $ 6.19 for a medium sandwich. This is an excellent version of this classic sandwich. It is loaded with meat, nice amount of cheese, and simply full of flavor. I would reorder this is a heart beat.
The sub roll used here is not at all crusty (which I prefer), but the taste is ok. They have a nice, user friendly on line ordering system which lets you set the time for pick up, or simply tells you the time your order will be ready. Worked very well.
And they open at 10:30 if you want to get an early jump on lunch.
