This is a really charming little bookstore for people who love bookstores. There are a large number if items available for sale, and most of them are used and vintage. If you are looking for anything contemporary, you might be disappointed by coming here because you probably won’t find them. However I found a few items including a few biographies and some speculative fiction from the 60’s that was pretty interesting. There are a small number of areas throughout that are good for checking them out, but for the most part its more shelves of books. The prices range from low to high depending on what you get here and the condition it is in. I haven’t spoken to the owner, but the woman who works there is nice.

Five Unilocal Stars for CHARM! Five Unilocal stars for the Owner! This guy is Passionate about Old and Rare Books! This place is what you would expect to see in a larger city or in a movie and I think and hope it is a great fit for UNC-G area of Spring Garden! The Books are stacked all the way to the ceiling and though it is jammed full and in a small space it is organized! Students and lovers of Literature, you need to visit this place!

This little book shop is worth a look. It’s tight in square footage, but you can easily lose a couple hours in this place. This ain’t no Ed McKay’s, and it’s definitely not no Barnes & Noble Beyond Borders. It’s floor to ceiling jam-packed bookshelves, a few armchairs, dim lights. You really get the feeling that you’re in somebody’s grandpa’s old study and that if you looked long enough, you might discover some sort of treasure. The owner does most of his business dealing in estate sales and online selling of rare books. And if you’re into chatting when you stop in, he’s a pleasant chap who is really excited about old books and will tell you about his recent finds. I can’t imagine he’s making a fortune with his business, but he sure does enjoy it, and that’s a beautiful thing. Nerd note: Make sure to peep the shelf lined with Lord of the Rings trilogies, many different editions, spanning the last century. I’m not sure if they’re for sale, though, so don’t get your hopes up.
