Pholicious

Since I was at the mall, I decided to give this place another chance. Service was especially slow on this visit. It took over 15 minutes to make an avocado smoothie and a banh mi. Unacceptable for a place that’s inside a mall food court. Just like the last time, the smoothie was good, but the food was a terrible let down. The Vietnamese sandwich was a really big disappointment. The vegetables were not fresh and they were rather light on the meat. Every time I took a bite into the sandwich, some sort of liquid leaked out. Guh-​ross. It was substandard for a banh mi and for five dollars the sandwich was overpriced and failed to live up to the ‘banh mi’ name. I would rate the smoothies a 3.5 and the food a 2. Perhaps, I’ll try their phở next time… if there is a next time.

Mall food court fare is made for convenience and mass consumption, so I had low expectations for this place. However, it was rainy, and I wanted some soup. To that end, Pholicious did not disappoint.
The $ 7.50 phở special (beef, meatball, fishball, and shrimp) was quite filling for the price, and a single-​filling phở would have run even less ($ 5.99). That said, there are plenty of places that do this dish better. The broth was somewhat bland, the beef overcooked, and the container size made incorporating mix-​ins (i.e. sprouts) without spilling everything a bit of a chore. However, the shrimp were tasty, and a copious application of hoisin and siracha brought some flavors to life.
A taro bubble tea inverted this equation. It was deliciously sweet and smooth, but at $ 4+ after tax, it was not a good value for the price.
Perhaps the best that can be said of Pholicious is that it is fast. The staff are efficient, and you will not have to wait long for your chow.
Pholicious is not a place I would seek out for what it offers, but as a mall dining option, it’s a solid alternative to the usual fast food grease.

I work at the mall and love this place, I just tried it a week ago and now I’m hooked. It’s a healthy alternative from all the junk food in the food court. Plus it’s reasonably priced, the workers are very friendly and big portions! Honestly healthiest, best choice of food in the mall.

Phở is my to go food when I’m Sick.
This time I didnt want to go to a restaurant and wait for the take out and all that jazz.
I stopped here for a quick take out as I knew I wouldnt have to wait at all since its in a mall.
I ordered Regular size Chicken PHO. The portion is HUGE for the Price $ 5.99.
And the PHO itself was super aromatic, mildly spicy and served super hot. What else do I need in a Sick stomach. I was super happy after this meal. Eventhough Pholicious is a chain, their quality of food and the cleanliness of the store impressed me .
Would go back again very soon.

Delicious food in the food court of a mall! One of my favorite fast food Vietnamese restaurants. I tried the chicken phở. It comes with grilled chicken in he broth along with the rice noodles and vegetables. A side plate of all the basic toppings for phở as well. Bey reasonable priced.
