Love the thinner tortilla chips and creamy jalapeño dip. Portions were huge. I love having choices in 2 types of rice and beans. My only disappointment was in the Baha Tacos(fish). It consisted of a wilted flour tortilla, dry red cabbage, and a fried fish strip.(Creamy jalapeño, tomatoes, and lettuce were on the side.) The taco looked sloppy and kind of an «after thought». Flavor was OK. Another plus was getting to sample sauces before ordering. Desserts were awesome and h.u.g.e. Our service was excellent!

Solid Mexican chain restaurant, great chips & salsa. Be sure to order some quesso dip. Had the steak burrito which was great, spicy green chili sauce on top. Nice selection of margaritas too.

I visited Chuy’s approximately three months ago and wasn’t impressed with the food, but the service was excellent, and the drinks were good. I’m a pretty avid Unilocaler, and I kept seeing great reviews for this place, so I decided to hit it up a second time last week. I’m not sure if something is wrong with me or if the place just isn’t that great. I want to love it so much, but I just can’t. I love Mexican and Tex-Mex food… that isn’t an issue here. In fact, outside of Thai food, I’d say Mexican is my favorite cuisine. The service was great on both visits, and margaritas were wonderful both times, but the food just leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn’t seem fresh or made to order… more like something that is defrosted and put on a plate. Meh. I won’t go back unless it’s for drinks only.

Must say this is pretty good Mexican food. Just moved tovthe area and was very excited to see some real tex mex here. Grew up in texas and have missed my Mexican food dearly. We shared an order of steak nachos and a stacked chicken enchilada. Both were very tasty.

Cool and eclectic environment — had good service and the food was good. A mix up on the bill causes a delay but the manager comped our lunch because he didn’t want to run my card twice. Now THAT is what I call excellent service. Plus we got cute little Mother’s Day gifts. Will definitely go back. Thanks Chuy’s :)

I wanted to wait until we had eaten here twice before I rated this restaurant, and last night we ate here for the second time. Both visits were similar… the service was exceptional and the food was excellent. We have had: the chuychanga, the vegetarian combo(relleno/enchilada), the chile cheese relleno and baja tacos. We have had the following special sauces: boom-boom, creamy jalapeño, green chile and hatch green chile. Of the entrees, my favorite was the chuychanga, but the fish tacos were very good as well. Of the sauces, my favorite was the creamy jalapeño. It is not hot, so you can indulge freely as a topping and/or as a dip with your chips.(Ask for it if they don’t bring it with your chips) The boom-boom sauce was my wife’s favorite as a topping on her entrée, but you can order any sauce as a topping on the side and if you don’t like it, they will bring you something else. The green chile and hatch green chile are billed as hot, but I didn’t think they were hot at all. I will defer to my wife on this who thought both were hot, with the hatch being slightly hotter. Of the two, the green chile had a much better taste, in my opinion. The chips are my favorite of any Tex-Mex restaurant around, period. They are thin and crispy and not oily, and they have a good taste, and they keep coming and coming and coming, warm and fresh, as does the salsa/sauce. The indoor atmosphere/setting is festive and fun, while the outdoors is expertly landscaped and equipped with plenty of seating for fresh air dining. When we were there, the outside was still closed, but I look forward to eating outside… really cool environment. The serving sizes are more than adequate, especially given the mountains of chips they serve you prior to getting your meal(marketing tactic… haha) We were there on a busy Saturday night and our service was exceptional… chips and salsa always full, tea always full, server available and attentive. Based on our two visits, I would recommend this location for dinner.

The atmosphere is very cool. Outdoor seating included; have that nice spring breeze cool the sweat on your brow from some exotic salsas. I ordered the daily special: the macho burrito. It was super good. I was full about half way through it cause I stuffed my face with chips and salsa before. But like any good American, I powered through and ate the whole thing. Our waitress was very sweet. Price is slightly above average. However, most will enjoy Tex Mex more than your average American-Mexican place. For authentic Mexican in Greenville, see my other reviews. Oh yeah and the margaritas are quality.

The best Tex-Mex /New Mexico inspired food I have ever had! My party had the Macho burrito and the chicken chimi. Both were excellent, but the Macho burrito really stood out… everything about it was perfect. Be hungry though because it is a feast. Competitively priced, good service, and exceptional flavor.

I really like the tortilla chips bar. With meat, beans, salsa, cheese dip, jalapeños. The food was good. The margaritas were very good. It’s more American Mex than most places, but the foods good and good prices.

I love this place. The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is always wonderful. Food was excellent and way too much on the plate. I was so happy to see this location open up, since I used to go to the original in Austin, TX. We ordered the special sauce with our chips and it was fresh and exciting. I got a chimichanga and it was practically hanging off the plate is was so big. Great place to go — but bring your hunger!

It’s gotten at better than when it first opened. The chicken enchiladas are pretty good. A little plain(it’s bascoally just chicken in a tortilla) with no onions or peppers or anything. But it’s not bad.

Came for lunch. Seated immediately. Server attention was a little slow, but drink requests were processed quickly, and food came out quickly. Their hottest sauces don’t meet our definition of hot, but the hatch sauce had really good flavor. The portion sizes are more than adequate. The nachos were huge. Everything was very flavorful. Will definitely return again.

Very good food and lots of it. The service was constant and constructive for a good eating experience. The homemade tortillas are delicious. I had the chicken burito and could not finish it. Excellent cuisine for the entire group. Had a birthday and they made it special. Thanks and I will be back.

I really like this tex-mex style restaurant with a good menu sekection, cool décor, and clean bathrooms. Plenty of seating both in and outside and a huge bar for those who drink. Diana was super nice and professional and knowledgeable of the menu. We were first served thin tortilla chips and salsa and was also given a sample of all sauces. I liked them all. I had the #6 combo which was a ground beef hard shell taco, challupa, and cheese enchilada served with rice and beans. The ingredients were seasoned well and fresh. My hubby had a bowl of tortilla soup and chicken tacos served with rice and beans. We enjoyed the meal and look forward to returning.

I had a great Americanized Mexican dinner here. I started off with a house margarita with salt and on the rocks. It was strong and a good size. I ordered the combination plate with a taco enchilada with a tostada. It came with rice and beans. The food was well prepared good. The taco had a thin crunchy she’ll. I think they might be made on site. The enchilada had only cheese to my disappointment but I should have read the fine print. I did like the tostada it had a heap of toppings with a think crust. The wait service was fast and friendly. A runner brought chips and salsa. He also took my drink order before I even opened the menu. He might work part time at jimmy johns. The hosts/receptionists could have been a little more cheerful but they did their job. I would recommend this place for the margaritas and large dining areas for groups.

Tex-Mex in SC, yay! The food was fantastic and our server, Alex was helpful and friendly. The host staff was friendly too. I highly recommend this a Texas based restaurant. Delicious food with fun décor. The tortillas are made fresh, on the spot. You can even watch the tortillas being made through a glass window. We will return!

Last night(Friday) I came here with my son. We were the only one apart from a group enjoying a B’Day Party in that portion of the Resturant. The service was good, the complementary chips with a bowl each of Salsa & Creamy Jalapeños was served, it was quite good. I had South West Enchiladas, it was really great & hot. My son ordered Chicken and Steak Fajitas, he was all praise for the Taste, Freshness & size of Helping. We were GLAD that we chose to come here. Only problem was they did not have Scotch Whiskeys in their Bar. Definitely be going back again and AGAIN.

I was looking for something spicy and the salsa hit the spot. However, the green chile sauce on the Southwestern was a little sweet for me.

The vibe is nice and our waitress was polite. We did have to ask to get chips and salsa while she sat down to chat with the table next to us. The food did come fast and my husband enjoyed his tacos. I got a chuychanga(sp?) and all I can say is yuck. Think fried chicken pot pie with warm canned salsa on top. Actually, the fried pot pie would have been much better. As we walked out our waitress was not only bad at the same table sitting and talking she was now sipping a mixed drink??? At least my nasty dish was removed from our ticket.
