Disappointing. The food is usually better than this. The hotdogs were cold. The onion rings were chewy and they were fried together in one big mass. There was very little onion flavor. This is not what I expect from Sonic. Still a fan, but not happy today.

Fries were super hot and fresh, the grilled chicken was a little dry and chewy though. Next time I’ll have a shake

So it’s 11PM in the middle of the week. Nothing is on TV, but it’s too early to go to bed. What should I do? Well, if I’m in Greenville, this is the opportune time for a «Sonic Run.» What is is a «Sonic Run?» Let me explain. A Sonic Run begins with the roundup of various family members. The more people in the car, the better. We find the worst music possible on the radio and dance our way to Sonic. Once there it takes us forever to figure out what to order. Are we actually hungry? Do we want dessert? Then we realize that we have no money. Part of the fun is the look on the server’s face when you pay them with change dug off the floor of the car. Yes, I did just count out fifty some pennies. That’s not weird at all. Once the food arrives we are faced with having to eat it. The ice cream at sonic is pretty good, but everything else has a weird after taste. You get used to it. The chicken nuggets and mozzarella sticks are inevitably thrown around the car. The meal over, it’s time to dance our way back home and go to bed content that good, sober fun was had. That’s my relationship with Sonic. If you’re familiar with the restaurant then you no doubt have your own unique bond. Love it or hate it, Sonic is an experience.
