Avoid this store!!! I sought shelter there after the radio said to seek shelter because of a tornado. The tornado sirens were blaring. While in the store I wanted to purchase a card but needed a restroom. They would not let me use their’s. I had to leave and return home to use mine while tornado sirens were still blaring. If I were a victim of a crime or accident I am sure they would let me bleed out on their floor rather than show sympathy. This lack of care, concern and customer service has no place in our competitive retail environment. I really hope karma rains down on you and your store closes.

I don’t see many greeting card stores around anymore. I thought they had gone the way of the Do-Do bird. But here is one tucked into a strip mall on University and Orchard, a stone’s throw from Trader Joe’s. The nice thing about the store is the huge card selection. While places like Target have a good card inventory, they lean heavily toward the odd-ball humorous one which are not always appropriate. This Hallmark store had tons of cards to choose from. I needed both a sympathy card and a Mother’s Day card and found both that conveyed the message I wanted. The store also has lots of ‘cutesy’ gifts, ornaments, and stuff like that. The only downside is that cards are not cheap. Many of them were $ 3.99 and higher, although one that I found was a bit less. Nevertheless, it’s a good place to stop by if you are particular about what kind of card you are sending or need some kind of little gift.

I purchased a pair of Snoozie’s slippers at this location just over a month ago. It was probably the 9th or 10th pair I have purchased here as they make great gifts. For the last purchase the options were limited in my size, most of them being sequined. I didn’t have a pair of these so I decided to purchase. In the pursing weeks, I found sequins all over my house. I took them back in the store today with my receipt to see if they would exchange them. The assistant manager basically accused me of lying. I am in the customer service business and this doesn’t fly in my rules in dealing with customers. While they did«make this ONEEXCEPTION» for me to exchange, I will not return to this store again. There are plenty of other non-Julie’s Hallmark stores to choose from. Good riddance!
