I expected so much better then what it was. We went for lunch and were seated in the very back with I prefer then the front with everyone watching me eat. This place is way overpriced and trying too be fancy for the quality of the food. I got the chicken sandwich and it ended up a mess, it was just a chicken breast that keep sliding around on a dirt cheap bun(not even sesame seeds) because they add too much mayo. The one tiny napkin they gave me was used up completely. And it was very bland and boring, I’ve made better at home. My date had the fish and was not pleased at all. She said is was bland and simple. The fries were actually good with is nice. Maybe their dinner options are better. I would try it out again is the service was better.

Food smelt and tasted awful. Went back a second time thinking I ordered the wrong thing since everyone spoke so highly of it. Left disappointed again.

Had lunch today fantastic food, lovely environment with a beautiful building. Skirt steak was fantastic, beautiful plate presentation along with excellent food pairings all for a reasonable price. Will definitely return! :)

I would love to give this place five TURDS. Our waitress was extremely rude, she rushed us to order, slammed down our plates and got personally offended when my aunt sent a drink back. When we asked for a manager we were sent a staff member who only after hearing our story, revealed she wasn’t the real manager. It was only after THAT wasted conversation did we actually get sent the owner of the place. The owner had ZERO accountability for her rude staff. Do yourselves a favor: when you find yourself in front of this place, don’t walk. RUN across the street for a meal!

Best Restaurant in the Upstate. Food is great. The owners are super nice. The atmosphere is cozy. This is by far my wife and I’s «go too» restaurant. Never disappointed at Rivera’s. Everything I tried there is wonderful, but my suggestion is order the«catch of the day»… It’s always a winner. Trust me, Go to Rivera’s.

Great sweet plantains served with a light aioli and chimichurri base. Yucatan shrimp cooked well with a nice crunch and delicate flavor. Black beans could have used white onions or a side of hot sauce but still very good overall. Excellent service and décor. Perfect for an intimate dinner or small group.

I enjoyed but it is not very memorable. Not a great value, in my opinion. I will return for a business lunch if the other parties want to go, but that is about it. Waitress was nice. Atmosphere is meh. Worth a try once just to see if it is right for you. Other reviewers seem to think more of it than I do so maybe it is just not my thing. For my $, I will find some place that is more interesting and to my taste.

Rivera’s has some of the best food around. I enjoy taking clients here for lunch, and the menu never disappoints. My favorite is the Cuban Roast Pork over Black Beans & Rice w/Sweet Plantains on the side. You can’t go wrong with the Swiss Style Swiss Style Chicken Enchiladas or the Cuban Sandwich w/hand cut fries. Rivera’s is also a great place to stop by for a glass of wine & desert after eating at another downtown Greer restaurant. They have free wifi as well, which is helpful if you’re doing a business lunch, or just want to update your blog.

We were there for a birthday dinner. All of us enjoyed our meals. Also, it’s a great part of town for an after dinner stroll.
