I’ve stayed everywhere from 2 star to 5 star hotels and I don’t hold lesser hotels in the same regard of a 5 star but the Super 8 in Greer, SC is terrible place to stay and there’s better options because this place is the pits. This place is soooo filthy. Stay somewhere else, please.

The reason I stayed here is because I am a truck driver and my truck was in the shop for a week. Seeing as this was the closest hotel to my company’s terminal, I figured it was a no brainer staying here. I’ve stayed at other Super 8’s before, so I wasn’t expecting much. However, this is the worst Super 8 I’ve stayed at. When I checked in, the man behind the counter was very friendly. He gave me a key to a room and I took my stuff upstairs. When I got to the room, I found that the bed was not made and the towels in the bathroom were piled on top of the toilet. I guess who ever stayed here must have checked out that morning and the room was not cleaned yet. So, I go back down to check in and told the man that the room was not cleaned. He apologized and gave me a different room. I go to the new room and find that it was clean and no issues were present. Worked for me. However, after staying in the room for a longer period of time, I did find odd stains on one of the walls. It didn’t bother me as I just didn’t touch the wall. I usually don’t like having my room cleaned everyday. If staying for more than 4 days, I usually go 2 days, then have somebody clean the room. So, I stayed for a couple of days, cleaned up all of my stuff, and then removed the«Do Not Disturb» sign from the outer door handle. I left the hotel and did some sight seeing. I was gone for just over 6 hours. Figuring the room was done, I returned to find that the room had not been touched. Maybe it was my fault for not asking that the room be cleaned, but I feel odd asking for someone to do what they are supposed to be doing. On another note, I guess the employees that run the hotel, live there as well. And they have children. Not very disciplined children either. I would hear them run up and down the hallway playing with soccer balls and screaming. Now I know they are just kids and I was once a child, but I can’t stand undisciplined children. And the way they were behaving in a hotel environment was just flat out unacceptable. Overall I gave this hotel two stars and the only reason I didn’t give it one star is because it has free Wi-Fi. There was also a microwave and a fridge in my room. Bottom line, find a different hotel. There are others in the area.

Well if the other guy had a dead hooker we had a live one. After booking our reservation online we arrived and were given our key. When we tried to use it and it wouldn’t work a woman from inside the room opened the door. Than after giving us an upgrade(because all the non smoking rooms were booked) the key for our new room wouldn’t work and we were told that the front desk would let us in/out. The TV wouldn’t work right. When we went to check out the next day they had added on $ 30 in fees. And while we were waiting they received a phone call from somebody wondering if they could get a discount if the room was only used for a few hours. The place smelled. Horrible horrible!

bed bugs! the woman at the desk acted well towards us but jay patel was less than helpful! he told us we could stay if we wanted but priceline had our money so he couldnt refund it(we understood this part) but had no other rooms available. we were to sleep with the bed bugs? no offer to dry clean our clothes to ensure we didnt carry them home or to another hotel… we were more disgusted by how he acted like we were«bugging» him at home!

This hotel was horrible. The first room had a wet floor smelled like it had dead hooker hidden under the mattress, and the bathroom had not been cleaned. The next room they gave us had someone in it, the third room was ok. I will never stay at another super 8.

Nice super 8. There’s a chandellier when you walk into the reception area. Ample parking, rooms are always available(it doesn’t seem to get packed at this location which is strange because it’s one of the nicer ones). SOME staff is friendly and helpful… others are rude and snotty. Nice, comfortable, clean rooms. Fridge and microwave in rooms. Laundry facility, vending machines and ice machine on-site. Located next to a Waffle House. No pets allowed. Small outdoor swimming pool. *note: if you have the super 8 rewards card, it isn’t valid at this location.
