Went in today and ordered the BLT sub. If there were truth in advertising they would call it the lettuce sub with just a hint of bacon and tomato. The«bacon» was thin, undercooked and greasy. It barely mattered however because there wasn’t really much in it anyway. This place is actually worse than Subway if that’s possible.

The place was empty when I came in. My husband placed the order and got the drink. For being empty there were no clean tables. They all had crumbs on them or on the seats. After I cleaned up a table to sit at the food was surprisingly good. The bread is totally worth the trip here. The cranberry turkey is good but kind of odd with mayonnaise. The roast beef sandwich was also good and moist. If you are wanting a change from subway you should try a sandwich with this establishment.

It’s often tough to find a quick bite out when you are with someone on a vegan diet. This place is definitely a step above most sandwich shops like Subway. Good quality ingredients, super fast service. Wish they had a few more vegan options, but other than that I will be back.

Had a reuben yesterday and it was first class. Ate the first half hot, before a hike in the Columbia River Gorge, and ate the other half cold afterwards. :) They seemed a little overbooked with work and it took 5 – 6 minutes in line to get my order going, but it was worth it and they apologized several times for the delay. Apparently they ran out of lettuce and had to send somebody out for more, which made them short-handed. Or perhaps the International Lettuce Cartel was behind it. Don’t know. I will go here again next time I am in the area.

This was a surprising neat place to take a break while shopping at this plaza. The prices are very reasonable and the sandwiches are pretty tasty. The mini sandwich surprised me, it is bigger than what I expected. Now I know I can stop by this place for a small bite when in this part of town.

On the way home from a New Years Day snowshoeing trip my husband and I were very hungry and weren’t really in the mood to waste calories on fast food since we’d just hiked 3+ miles in the snow. I was craving a sandwich… though there really isn’t a time when I’m not :) I’ve just recently started Unilocaling and my friend Sabrina usuing this thing all.the.time to find places to eat so I thought I would too! In leui of getting carsick(I get REALLY car sick) I decided to just look up Big Town Hero’s instead of just sandwiches… since I already knew they exsisted. Low and behold there is one in Gresham just a few miles of the path our GPS was taking us on to get home! We called the number on Unilocal just to make sure it was open since it was New Years Day and there seemed to be a number of BTH’s on Unilocal that had no reviews or said they had moved. We really weren’t in the mood to drive around… seeing as we were pretty hungry. We were very happy with this location. It was clean inside, the people friendly, and the sandwiches yummy! I had my standard sandwich but the hubby tried a grilled panni — he wanted something hot seeing as we were still a LITTLE cold from the 20 degree snowshoeing weather! Best part about this! We found the«Gresham Station» which I realized I’d actually been too but had forgotten about it! I see a BTH/shopping trip in my future!

Moved into the same building that this location is located at. One day I was hungry and thought I would try them out. I was let down. The bread, fresh baked, was actually really good but that is where it ends. I ordered a meatball sub. It was very bland and not very tasty. I ended up having to microwave some marinara from my fridge and added it to the sandwich because the includes sauce was inadequate. The service I received was average I suppose. High school aged girl who was more interested in her cellphone conversation(text) than to really pay attention to the customer. Overall I left the place unimpressed. It has been 4 months and I have zero interest in going back. And I wall by the place every single day. I’ll stick to Subway.

If you love the smell of freshly baked bread you will love Big Town. This is probably one of the nicest and cleanest Big Town heros I know in the area. Always great service, food is fresh and the place is really clean, including the bathroom. Even though it is a sandwich shop, I LOVE the Chef salad with greek dressing. My little ones enjoy the kids meal that includes a fresh made mini sub, chips, milk and oreo cookies for 4.95. They also have great soups and paninis. The prices aren’t expensive, and sometimes they have specials, like the 8′ sub for only $ 5. Much better than Subway anyday!!!
