As a loyal customer I am saddened to have to write this negative review regarding one of my families favorite places to eat but unfortunately we will no longer be eating here. As a manager myself, I am absolutely appalled to know that the management at this Outback Steakhouse is allowing an employee to continue to work here after admitting to spitting in customer’s orders at her old restaurant job. I understand that you cannot fire someone based on something they are accused of, but when they admit to it on THEIR social media page, I feel like that’s means to let someone go. I know I would have in a heartbeat. In my opinion keeping someone who is willing to do this to customers is bad for business in two important ways. 1.) this employee will most likely never be able to move up in the company, hindering their ability as well as the businesses ability to succeed. 2.) No one wants to go to a restaurant where they are aware that one of their employees is capable and willing to spit in someone else’s food.(regardless if she is «allowed» in the kitchen or not.) Unfortunately this restaurant has been going downhill for years, but this is just icing on the cake for this family! Such a shame I really did enjoy coming here.

I used to enjoy eating here however they recently hired someone that is well known for spitting in the food of her guests at other restaurants. I will not be coming here for dinner until this person is removed from their staff, and I would advise others to stay away as well as this person has no reason or rhyme to whom she is affecting, she chooses her victims at random. I would suggest a different outback location.

Ate here Wednesday night, not the the best ! ordered wedge salad and waitress brought out green romaine lettuce smothered in some kind of blue cheese dressing, messy and not very good. However the service was good and the coconut shrimp was very good.

Really aweful. We sat down I ordered my drink and the waitress came with 2 of the same drink. My husband hadn’t even ordered yet. We ordered a wedge salad each and it came as romaine! The waitress said it was like a 5 star restraint would serve!?? Totally drenched in dressing that was like mayonnaise … Gross!!! They at least didn’t charge us., will not go back!

I have eaten at other Outbacks so I knew what to expect, and had decided on what to order from their online menu before I went there. I first tried to place an order online but the system would not let me, probably because they weren’t open yet. I walked in at 4:30 and asked to place an order«to go». A man and woman were at the front door. The man said he would get a «ticket» and take my order. Another customer came in at that moment and the man spoke to her at length, totally ignoring me. The other Outback employee asked me if I was being helped… I said«He said he was going to…» then she wandered off. So I stood at their front entrance for about five minutes. The first man came back and then took my order. This awkward period of waiting is why I’m rating this visit four stars instead of five. My order was for the 12 ounce sirloin with grilled shrimp on the barbie, baked potato and blue cheese salad wedge. Most steak places charge you one price for the steak, another price for the potato and a third price for a salad. I was expecting my total to be over $ 30 but instead it was the $ 27.99 shown on the menu for the 12 ounce sirloin steak with shrimp. Where they really excel here is in packing your order to go. The salad was in a Tupperware type thing on the bottom, underneath a square styrofoam container that had the steak, shrimp, and baked potato; then both containers go into a bag with handles on it. So it’s easy to carry and the salad stays cool underneath the hot items in the styrofoam. I had put this all into an insulated Fred Meyer shopping bag and it stayed hot during the 20 minute drive home. The baked potato toppings were all cleverly combined into a small styrofoam cup and the potato was sliced in half. So you just pull it open and put on the toppings, which had not spilled or melted. The potato was small sized and there were only four medium sized shrimp. The steak was thick, square, and cooked exactly right; with very little fat or gristle to remove. The salad wedge was nice and crispy and easy to eat, slicing off chunks from the wedge. I would have liked a slightly larger potato and larger shrimp, but this was a filling meal, properly prepared and nicely presented despite being to go. The entire experience exceeded my expectations except for the waiting at the beginning. If you go to their web site while they’re open, you can place a to go order online and use one of the special parking spots in front of the restaurant to make a fast pickup. It’s almost like a drive through.

My daughter and I went for dinner last night. We arrived at 8:15(closing is not until 9:30). The restaurant was mostly empty — as far as I could tell it was us, and about 3 other 2 top tables. We were seated(eventually), and our orders taken in a timely manner by a pleasant young man. And then we did not see him again for a LOOOONG time. When he finally brought my soup and salad, he was again pleasant. The soup was quite good(I recommend the creamy onion! yum!). Then the wait. Again. At this point, it is approximately 8:45, and we haven’t gotten our entrees — 2 medium rare steaks. Not complicated, not something that takes a long time — especially when there are no customers to make the kitchen busy. 8:50 or so, dinner arrives… mostly cold. And our server goes *poof* again.(was there a poker game in the kitchen??) I was unable to locate him to let him know that my daughter’s steak was 70% connective tissue, and inedible. I went over to the bar and asked who I thought was the bartender to send our server over, as I had a couple issues, but thank goodness, he was the manager! Came right over, offered a new dinner(sorry, don’t have another hour to wait), and immediately took her steak off the bill. I don’t blame them for a meat issue with the supplier, but the way the server was nowhere to be found was not ok. Not at a slow time, with plenty of staff. The friendliness of our server(he was quite pleasant, just quite terrible at his job) and the quick efficiency of the manager in dealing with the issue is the only reason this location got 2 stars. I may give it another shot — but not if I don’t have over an hour to spend sitting around waiting…

We had an awesome experience! Our server was very attentive the whole time. He came back several times during our meal to check in. He refilled drinks before we had to ask. Our food came out in a timely fashion. We received our soup and salad first, then our entrée, lastly our dessert. The quality for the value was great! We will definitely return soon.

Our server was very kind and did a great job. However, the food is far less than par. The grilled shrimp on the Barbie are eight tiny shrimp served on toasted bread for $ 10.99. It was actually worth more like $ 4.99. We ordered one sirloin and one fillet. Both steaks came out and looked the exact same, tasted the same, and were both tough. And as for the loaded baked potato I ordered, I have never seen a potato as small as this one. The potato was a little smaller than a baseball. Very disappointed in the food since the bill including tip was $ 55. Will not return and will absolutely not recommend. Do not waste your money here.

Standard American steakhouse. Steaks were cooked correctly and of a good quality. The bloomin onion is always a hit when we come in. I may have to try making one at home, ha! Good dessert selection. Server was helpful and attentive. Portion size was nice, enough for lunch the next day, always a good thing. I will be back again.

Everytime we come here the service is lacking to say the least. Today we were seated and sat for over 10 minutes and never once saw a waiter or water, no nothing so we left without ever eating. Unfortunately, this is not unusual for this establishment. We try it every 6 – 12 months only because we have a gift card to use and we are disappointed every time.

Great food but poor service at first; another server noticed and the Mgr came by right away and made things good. Overall it was a good experience, and I’d return to this location for a great steak!

We had passed the Original Roadhouse and the parking lot was full. We didn’t want to wait to eat so we decided to check out Outback. Outback is located oddly in a strip mall off Burnside, kind of hidden. I was a surprised that there were only a few vehicles in the parking lot smack in the middle of dinner time but they were open. No wait, seating was immediate as there were very few customers inside. The waiter was very pleasant and provided menus and took drink orders promptly. The ice tea was fresh and tasted great. The waiter came right back and took orders. I ordered the ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and a salad. The waiter returned immediately with salad and appeared fresh but as I dug into mine I found that nasty orange lettuce that is just plain old. Yuck! Normally you get warm bread served to you but not at this Outback, you have to ask for it. Go figure! At this time I’m starting to see why maybe there are not a lot of customers here. The entrées showed up pretty fast, in fact too fast. My ribeye looks great but once I took a bite all I could taste was charcoal. I turn the steak over and it was burnt to a crisp… awwww sneaky! The garlic mashed potatoes were brown which I know is not correct because I’ve had them several other times at Outback. I took a taste anyway and quickly realized there was a reason they were brown. That’s right, the garlic mashed potatoes were burnt. Come on people! The waiter came by I showed him the burnt steak and told him the garlic mash or burnt and he didn’t look surprised at all. Imagine that! He said he would get me another entrée. Approximately 10 minutes went by and a beautiful ribeye arrived at my table accompanied by a baked potato this time. It looks good but on the inside the ribeye was raw. That was the end for me. The waiter came by to check I showed him and he shook his head. He informed me that would be no charge for my dinner. Holy crap how can a steak place not know how to cook a steak, unbelievable! I suggested they get their cook some training and left… Hungry! So if you ever go by a restaurant, it’s smack in the middle of dinner time and there’s no vehicles in the parking lot… There usually is a reason… don’t go in. :-) 2015 – 94

Most of the food we ordered was good. I liked my baby back ribs and my daughter liked her chicken sandwich. My husband ordered his burger well done but it came still pink in the middle. French fries however were not that good. Also I think the food was a bit too expensive for what we got. Service is also very slow. Overall I wouldn’t go back anytime soon.

2.5 stars! The service was pretty good but the food? Not so much. I got the prime rib, fries and Caesar salad… The meat was undercooked for«medium» and the salad was drenched in dressing and stale croutons. I had a really good drink in the bar which we were seated in the bar I though but kids were in there… Maybe the bar is just up at the counter… Not sure. A really nice staff but our dinners were less than ok. Will not return anytime soon for steak at least.

Outback has died. The past 3 or so visits to various Outbacks have gotten worse. on all 3 occasions, my MEDIUM-WELL steak has come out bloody and still mooing. But it gets worse. Last night I had to drag myself back one last time because I had a $ 20 gift card that was going to expire on 2⁄10. We were seated right away. It took about 10 minutes for our waiter, Cody to get to our table. We ordered our drinks(soda). He asked if we wanted appetizers and we said no thanks. Once our drinks arrived — about 10 minutes later(for sodas mind you), he again asked what we wanted for appetizers. I again told him we were passing on them. I hate trying being up-sold over and over again. At this point(20 minutes seated), we were clearly ready to order. But of course, the server gave us the«be right back to take your order» line. Another 10 minutes goes by and he finally comes back to take our order, after«chatting» with another table for about 5 minutes about nothing regarding the dining experience. As we’re sitting there, waiting for the loaf of bread that ALWAYS comes with the meal, I’m wondering why we’re not getting any. No sooner do I hear another server tell another table that the policy«has changed» and that you have to request a loaf of bread now if you want some. The server is no longer allowed to offer you any first. REALLY? a 25-cent loaf of bread? When the server brought our salads(brown and wilted). I asked for the bread. He then gave me the same song-and-dance about the new policy. My partner ordered the NORULES Ribs and Steak Combo for $ 18. He got a whopping 4 dried out riblets, and steak that was literally the circumference of about a silver-dollar. Dry on the outside, bloody in the middle. Gross. Asked for extra butter for the potato. It finally arrived after the rest of the meal was done. I ordered the Alice Springs Chicken. Nasty as well. Dried out piece of chicken breast — very stringy. With old bacon that that probably cooked 4 hours prior. Also. In the«old’ days(about 6 months ago), every meal came with 2 sides. Not any more. You only get 1 side with your meal. Want steamed veggies with that potato? $ 3.95 more please. To the servers credit, he was very nice. He did bring us drink refills without having to ask for them, etc. Sadly, his hands are tied by corporate rules and just plain crappy food. Again, in the«old» days, the manager use to come by each table to check in. We have not seen a manager on the floor for several visits. now. Sorry Outback. you lost this customer for good!

Just received a $ 20 gift card from a family member, but we wont be using it. No reason to waste time giving this joint a 3rd chance. Obviously the company doesn’t care that people are complaining, or they would be replying and/or offering to make it right. Amazing they are still in business at all.

Last time we were in my boyfriend & I both ordered steaks. The outside was black and hard on both while the insides were cold. We waited for our server to come back around and he never did. This was frustrating. We tried waving him down but he was socializing with other customers. By the time he came around again our food was untouched & our drinks had been empty since our food was brought. We were pretty much pissed. He didn’t ask us why we hadn’t touched our food, or if we wanted more drinks. Instead he just asked if we wanted boxes. It took another 15 minutes to get the stupid check. And I wrote a nasty comment on their. Ended up going to a different restaurant. Bad service & bad food. Probably won’t go back.

I used to go to Outback a lot. It’s one of my favorite restaurants. I go here every year for my birthday with a large group. For some reason the past year at this particular one hasn’t been good. They just aren’t the same. I went one night really late and my boyfriend’s mother. She had ordered like pork loin or something and she usually gets medium and it came almost raw. They put it back onto the grill for her, I think there was something wrong with mine too, anyway, they took my back too. While they were away I worked on my two baked potatoes and both of them tasted reheated. Like cooked and then hours later a cold potato was microwaved warm. For my birthday this year a lot of the people in my group purchased burgers, which to me is kind of odd at a steak restaurant… Anyway all of them said that they were over cooked or seemed cold. I didn’t really get to enjoy my food, but it seemed good, I was really busy during the whole dinner. They provided me with my honorary birthday sundae which I had the kids help me eat. My boyfriend who is allergic to nuts took a bite and could tell that there was some kind of nut in there. We haven’t had that problem before and let me be clear, we’ve been going here for all of my birthdays since I turned 19, I’m 25. Since I now live on the other side of town, we will most likely either go to the Clackamas one or Beaverton one, so I won’t be needing to go to this one for a while.
