This place was delicious. There was only a 10 minute wait on a Saturday night, which was awesome. I ordered the scallop and Filet Mignon Hibachi. The scallops were HUGE and the fillet melted in my mouth. We will definitly be back!

This was my first ever visit to a hibachi restaurant and I regret never going!!! This was one of the greatest times me and my wife and kids ever had eating out. The chef named sonny was a beast and very entertaining when he was cooking our food very fast and efficient. Food was seasoned just right, service was good and the price was a lil high but we got a lot of food so no complaints there. I’ll be back real soon for another take at it

Sushi isn’t bad! It’s a little overpriced. Every time I get Togo they always forget my miso soup with my lunch/dinner special so make sure you check.

Pretty great. I appreciate they have pictures of each sushi roll in the menu.

I’ve been to my fair share of the popular hibachi restaurants in the New Orleans area, and I have to say that this one ranks as one of the best. Since most hibachi places use the same ingredients, this place rises above due to the consistency and the entertainment value of the chiefs. The restaurant is pretty large and open for a Japanese restaurant. The ambiance is very nice. The wait staff and hibachi chef were very personable and interactive. However, if there is one weak spot, it is that there is one hibachi chef that I’d subpar to the others. So far, I’ve only gotten him once. The sushi is good, but very expensive. Your best bet is to catch the lunch hibachi specials. Otherwise, you’re going to pay a lot more money for sodium overload.

Food is amazing, service was exceptional! We ordered several rolls(Filet Mignon roll, Crispy roll, etc.) with appetizers and drinks. Don’t forget the Sake!

We enjoyed the sushi. We had the Cajun Roll as an appetizer while we decided what was for lunch. It was very good. Large size for the $ 10 price. Excellent with a side of yum yum sauce from the hibachi. Since we had a large day planned we are lite. I had the sushi appetizer which was fresh and excellent quality. My boyfriend had the filet mignon roll. It had twice as much meat as daiwa’s does but was $ 4.50 more. So I guess it evened out. I’d recommend trying this place out. We will be back. The atmosphere is very nice.

Do NOT get takeout! Been coming here for a couple years and food has been decent. Even found a couple special rolls I really liked. But First time I ordered take out I got a crunch dynamite roll, and It was all fake crabmeat, no fish at all. I thought maybe it was a mistake, but had suspicions they were skimping on takeout to save a little money figuring once you get home you won’t bother. Next I ordered a lunch entrée and when I picked it up there was no soup or salad. Discovered that in tiny print at the bottom of the menu they don’t give you soup or salad with take out entrée orders even though the price is the same. Whatever, that’s just cheap. I was really craving sushi tonight and gave them one last chance. Never again. I ordered two of my favorite special rolls, New Orleans and Tropical. Normally the New Orleans is mostly tuna, salmon and yellowtail with a little crab meat. Tonight it was almost all crab with a few little pieces of fish. I pointed this out and even explained that I had been disappointed before with how the take out rolls are different from those you get when you dine in. The very nice hostess brought my roll to the chef who slapped a few small pieces of fish on top. When I got home I found the fish did not smell or taste right. I called to let them know, to which the chef replied that if I got sick I could bring a doctor’s note for a refund. No joke. Done with this place

Oh. My. Goodness. The strawberry daiquiri was good, not too strong, but you know that it is alcoholic. One friend had sake, another piña colada, another pink lemonade. We all had different versions of hibachi. If you don’t have enough people in your party during the peak time to fill all the seats around the grill, you will have others sitting with you. The hibachi chef does put on a good performance while cooking your food and is very entertaining to watch, and he involves all of the diners around the grill. I had the tuna and scallop hibachi, one friend had lobster and steak, another friend tuna and shrimp, another friend chicken and steak. The chef was flawless. The other people seated at our grill seemed to be quite unhappy with the performance, but things happen. My food was great, and the leftovers reheated this morning(the day after) very nicely. I definitely look forward to coming back!

I’ve eaten here a few times, no complaints. It’s standard west bank sushi stuff, which I like just fine. However, this time our waitress straight up FORGOT about us. We were there for probably 45 minutes just waiting to get a box. We had to ask two different servers for our check. Finally our actual waitress brought us the check, but there was zero acknowledgement of how we were so ignored by her. We assumed she was about to get off and was just busy doing any things, but that does NOT make it ok. I was not as bothered by this as my friends, and maybe three stars is a little generous. It’s a clean restaurant and the sushi isn’t bad.

I haven’t gotten to try the hibachi yet, but the sushi was great. The only problem I have is that they’re overpriced. It’s a great family place, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone, just come prepared with a few extra bills in your wallet. :)

They’re pretty good for the lunch specials — Bento box including fried rice, California roll, a dumpling, and your choice of entrée you want on the list — all for less than $ 10. But that’s where the cutoff is for this place. I had the tropical roll, and it wasn’t bad, just wasn’t that great either. Also, for $ 15, I could definitely find something else more satisfying. I’ve had the hibachi here in the past, and that wasn’t too great either. Just average, as most other hibachi places are. So unless you want their Bento Box for lunch, I wouldn’t really consider going there for much else.

The food was A-OK. The California roll was pretty stale. We opted for the hibachi and the best part of the show… until the chef picked up a bottle mimicking someone peeing and started squirting water at everyone around the table. The ladies felt awkward. The flipping of the egg shells on fire into the hat was pretty cool. The sushi selection was less than par and the price was pretty high. It’s a place you visit once given all the other options in NOLA.

I was pleasantly surprised. This place earned every bit of the 4 stars I gave it. Eight of us took a leap of faith and gave it a shot. I was not expecting much given it’s location in what I consider the«middle of nowhere». It’s very big and modern on the inside. It boasts several Hibachi grills so you can expect to get«courtside» seating even if they are busy. Lucky for us the place was wide open during the lunch hour so seating was fast as was the service. Our chef put on a great performance and food was cooked nicely. The lunch menu had hibachi specials around the $ 10 range. I thought about giving 5 stars, but aside from being a nice venue, nothing stood out that said this place is so much better than other Hibachi steakhouses. I’ll definitely go back.

Never had the hibachi so this is solely table service sushi and kitchen food review. I love sushi and I mean any type of sushi. I don’t discriminate between rolls to sashimi. Put it in front of me and I will eat. So, for a place on the westbank it’s decent and helps subside a craving. Their prices are reasonable. I haven’t had anything that wowed me and that is so bias because I’ve had amazing sushi at top notch restaurants. as far as kitchen food, I’ve only had fried rice and this isn’t a fair opinion either. Because it was meh. I mean, you can’t really judge a sushi restaurant based on fried rice right? I like that they have a picture menu so it’s easy to order. Three stars for decent food and reasonable prices.

Fuji Hana has pretty good sushi, but what won me over was the service that I received. For years this location was a Ryan’s Steakhouse. If you’ve never been to a Ryan’s, you should consider yourself lucky. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that such an awful place could be transformed into a good restaurant, but Fuji Hana proved me wrong. Their sushi offerings are pretty standard when compared to other local restaurants. They did have a very large menu of special rolls, including pictures. The problem with such a large selection is that it takes forever to decide. After a thorough decision making process, two specialty rolls were ordered and promptly delivered. Because the menu was so vast, I cannot remember the exact name of the rolls that were ordered. I can report that both were well made, using very fresh ingredients. I realize this doesn’t help you pick particular rolls, but from what I saw, all of the rolls their chefs made looked equally as good. As for the service, it was excellent. The server, Robin, was one of the friendliest servers I have ever had. He seemed to genuinely enjoy what he was doing, and had a friendliness that brightened my day. It isn’t often that a server can do that, so it bears mentioning. I doubt this will become a regular sushi place for me because it is somewhat out of my regular stomping grounds, but if you’re in the area, I encourage you to check it out.
