I went in to sell some books. The woman informed me that they were not currently buying books(as she finished paying another customer for their books…), but she would take a look at what I had. If she decided to buy anything it would be for store credit only.(After this, she said nothing else to me.) Out of the ten or so books I brought she bought two, and handed me two dollars in cash. I left, and vowed never to come back. The customer service I received was terrible, and this lady needs to make up her mind; is she buying books or isn’t she? Is she giving store credit or cash?(I am rather happy I got cash rather than store credit, because I never want to come to this store again.) Maybe this store has a good selection of books(I didn’t look), or maybe the books are cheap, and that is why it got good reviews. I’m pretty sure it didn’t get good reviews based on customer service. Avoid this store if at all possible!

Although this place is tiny it is packed to the ceiling w/books galore! All different genres and age appropriate reads for kids and adults alike. Went in there today and I was surprised how easily the staff was able to find the book I was looking for. They are very helpful and friendly. Merchandise is reasonably priced and is of very good quality for a used book store. With a Dunkin’ Donuts on the left and a Paint Your Own Pottery store on the right you could make a whole afternoon out of visiting this place.

The women that work here are VERY helpful! I went in looking for a good teenage boy book and walked out with 4 goosebumps for $ 2 each and a new mystery series that were $ 3.50 a piece! Great deals and they also buy books too! Help out a locally owned business!

I am probably being slightly bias as this store is so close to my home that it makes it über convenient to drop in and grab a book but I’ll share why I enjoy the shop. It’s a good location sandwiched in-between a Dunkin and a Pottery shop, a small store but filled to the brim with great reads. Every time I’ve gone in and had any trouble making up my mind one of the employees comes to the rescue giving their opinions or top picks. Overall I’m a fan, also they will give you cash or store credits for traded in books, which is a big plus for me as an avid reader my house tends to fill up quick with stacks of books most of which I won’t revisit.

I was so impressed with the Book Trader’s sci-fi/fantasy section! Lots of classics in the genre, new books, and nearly complete sets of many a series. Not to mention they have a good 5 or so shelves dedicated to Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance. They also have a shelf of D&D manuals! Excellent prices, very helpful and friendly staff… All towns should have such a lovely store.

I am a fan of used book stores, I think of the books on the shelves as little puppies waiting for you to take them home. This is a very good one, and Groton is lucky to have this store. They have a good selection of books for all ages and tastes, as well as a small selection of DVD’s Best of all, they will pay cash for your used books! Granted, they will not buy everything, but it is much easier than selling them on ebay!
