It was my first time here even though I’ve grown up in Pittsburgh. I expected more because of how many people say how amazing it is. Don’t get me wrong, it was still good, but not all that. What I got was very spicy and I usually can tolerate spicy stuff, but not this. I also do not like coleslaw but every meal comes with that. The service was good and parking was easy! They have their own parking lot separate from the outlets. It is a great location. I got done shopping and went right over.

I didn’t like the black angus steak double meat sandwich or the fries. The place has a great atmosphere with alot of TV’s, it was clean even the men’s bathroom, and the staff was nice. The prices are about $ 10 for a meal, I will try the pizza next time. They also do have nice happy hour deals and daily beer specials. Didn’t have a good meal here this time but I will try again because a lot of people seem to like this place.

Went with family over the weekend. Fries were old. Kinda screws up most of the meal since that’s the big deal. Corned beef Sammitch ok… but slaw was«dry», and as before mentioned, the fries sucked. Service acceptable but busy and the zucchini app was very tasty. BUT, the one in ERIE was much better… however, I was in Erie within the first week of opening, so I’m sure the«A-team» was still there. Don’t think I’ll give this chain-like place another chance.

Got to be kidding. Going on 1 hour. Still waiting for 3 sandwiches and an order of tater tots. Finally got my «steak sandwich». Good thing they put lettuce and tomato on it. The roll would look awful lonely.

The food was very very bland. The coleslaw on my sandwich was just gross!!! Chips and queso were pretty good. Service was average.

Great food normally, as well as service. But 30 minutes into our time here the apps are greasy and our drinks hadn’t show up yet. In fact our drinks… which by the way the bar is literally 4 ft. from our table, arrived after our entrées did.

First time at this location. Seems like a typical Primantis. Same menu as the other locations. Same décor and atmosphere. Pretty much everything is the same so no need to rehash it all. The location is right in front of the outlets and close to the highway. All very convenient. The service here was good for my visit. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. She answered some questions I had about growlers knowledgeably. They don’t have the best craft beer selection but there is usually something for me. My order came out quick and exactly the way I asked for it. Capicola and Cheese with a fried egg and a side of spicy garlic sauce. If to have never had a Primanti sandwich, here is the run down: Pick a meat, it goes on thick bread piled high with vinegar based coleslaw, tomatoes and french fries creating one of the most unique sandwiches out there. I know a lot of people say it is a gimmick and really isn’t anything special but, forget those people. Try it yourself and make a decision based on your experience. I’ve been eating them for years and they never get old to me. I like them and continue to throw money down for one every now and then. The pizza, wings and nachos are pretty amazing too! So if the sandwich isn’t your thing, you have options.

Gotta love a sandwich the size of your skull full of fries and slaw. Seriously excellent.

Wife and I stopped while passing through town. I ordered the Sicilian steak sandwhich and my wife ordered the pits-burger. Both were fantastic. The veggies on both sandwiches were fresh and crispy, as was the bread and fries. We chose to sit at the bar which was lively and had plenty of TVs to watch sports. Our bartenders were very fun and attentive. Finally, our bill(with drinks) was about $ 24. Very nice! Not sure when we will be back through town, but I’d love to stop again.

Terrible service and mediocre food. I was excited to try out this place for the first time, because everyone raves about it. I went today in a party of four and was blown away by how terrible our service was. The young waitress was incredibly inattentive, seemingly spending more time lollygagging and talking with co-workers than tending to her tables. We were never asked ONCE if we wanted a refill on our beverages, nor did she come around even ONCE to see if we were enjoying our meals(which we waited longer than 45 minutes for, by the way) or if we needed anything. Yet, when we had to approach her(my friend had to literally get up from our table and chase her down, else she wouldn’t have even bothered) she was clearly frustrated. TERRIBLE, unprofessional service. I don’t care if the food was five-star; I would have had just an unpleasant experience there simply because the waitress made it miserable for us. Subsequently, the food was definitely far from my expectations. I expected gourmet sandwiches(they were just a thin slab of meat between two thick slices of white bread) and salads that were actually sit-down restaurant quality. The chicken on my buffalo chicken salad resembled popcorn chicken and there was no cheese on the salad at all. It wasn’t terrible, but I definitely expected higher quality food from them. I won’t be going back there!

The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the food was pretty good. One of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant, service wise. We were seated fairly quickly, but they gave us 1 menu for 6 people. It was nearly 15 minutes before anyone came to get our drink order. Then another 10 – 15 minutes before we got the drinks. I had to ask multiple times for us to receive refills. It took nearly 35 minutes to receive the food and longer than that for the tables around us and they were seated before we were. The ham/cheese and corned beef sandwhich along with the pizza were good. I’m unsure why this place is talked up like it is and featured on TV programs. Doubtful I’d waste my time again.

40 minutes for a sandwich and it’s not even busy… Have to listen to servers bitch because there are too many schedule– avoid at all cost. Shame — most primanti restaurants are good… Not this one– go elsewhere– the food court at the outlets is better. Sad

If you like reasonably priced beer but terrible service and below average food, this place may work for you. I went here solo around 7pm on a Monday and sat at the bar which was half full. There were two bartenders that cared far more about socializing with each other and the servers than assisting their seated customers. They watched me sit down yet didn’t even come to say hello for several minutes even though they weren’t doing anything. It took even longer to get my hands on menu which was not explained to me. Pretty much any sandwich you order has fries and cole slaw topped on it which again is not explained up front. The turkey melt I had was topped with thick, white, Italian loaf style bread that wasn’t buttered, toasted or anything! So pretty much a hot sandwich on cold white bread. The beer wasn’t very cold, the food didn’t taste very good and the service sucked. I would not go back here. Frankly I’m shocked by all of the positive reviews. Everyone else’s food around me looked exactly like mine which was pretty terrible.

I went here with my mom after a marathon day of outlet shopping on a hot day in May. We were a little after the typical lunch time and walked right in without waiting for a table. The place is big inside, and on a hot day, the air conditioning was very refreshing! Our waitress came over right away and got our drink orders. We split the fried pub pickles with ranch dressing. Pickle spears battered and fried were a salty, delicious treat. I got my good old standby, hot sausage and cheese Primanti’s sandwich. Spicy Italian sausage, provolone cheese, fresh coleslaw, French fries all on soft, fresh Italian bread. If you haven’t tried it and are from Pittsburgh, then there’s no time better than now! It’s a must try for all natives and visitors. We left completely full, satisfied and in a French fry and cole slaw bliss!

This is definitely a place to try if you’re in Pittsburgh or the surrounding area. I’ll preface saying the only reason i did 4 instead of 5 stars is because it’s a little confusing when you first walk in where you need to go. A «please wait to be seated» sign goes a long way. Other than that, the food is the best. The onion rings were massive and the horseradish dipping sauce was amazing. The sandwiches are insane, topped with coleslaw and fries in addition to any other toppings you choose. They even have a 3 cheese sandwich for us nonmeat eaters.

These sandwiches are massive and they also taste good. A great place to take a break while shopping at the outlets next door.

Ummmmm… I’m not quite sure how to start this. How about I love Pittsburgh and all things Pittsburgh. I love the décor of this place, which is pretty standard Primanti’s. However, I’ve been to other locations and have loved the food, service, and layout much, much more. Service… The server was a cute, young guy. But he was totally preoccupied. Forgot lemons in the water. Forgot my daughter’s drink. Forgot the pickles(major foul, buddy). He apologized profusely but that doesn’t really make up for a lack of decent service. Food… Good food. Lots of good food. I was very happy that they were willing to accommodate my request for a sandwich without bread. Shocking, I know! I have always LOVED their bread but since I’m gluten free it doesn’t really work so well these days. Thankfully they«sandwich» was just as awesome eating fork and knife style. Otherwise… I think, maybe, the storage area should be appropriately labeled… And AWAY from the bathrooms. Nothing like trying to figure out a bathroom from a closet!

This sandwich joint definitely puts a unique spin on what is apparently a growing local tradition. The fries are fresh and crunchy hot, the sandwich gut-buster filling and the wings are crispy and delicious. Primanti Brothers doesn’t do much to stand out from the pack but it is certainly a good and somewhat quirky option if you want a sandwich.

Great Food even better service our waitress Meagon was the best on a Saturday night. She made sure our onions got cooked and wasn’t raw. They sent out like 4 fries on my plate when everyone else’s had a lot at our table she brought more fries out, she really did a great Job and will be back because the food and her service.

This place is a chain and is famous for their sandwiches which have french fries inside the sandwich. They put many different things on their sandwiches and you have the option to add more meat in the sandwiches. They also have a wide selection of other foods like burgers, pizza, wings, chili etc. You can order a single slice with your sandwich for a buck! I think my favorite item is a Smallman street fries. It’s fully loaded fries kind of like fries surpreme from Taco Bell but they put more in it like jalepenos and chili instead of taco mean of course. The food is filling overall but the sandwiches are not all that big but they are filling because of the fries. For instance I ordered a double bacon and really it’s not like there was a lot of bacon in it. Still, the food is decent. I think one day I will try the fried bologna. They usually have specials on Iron City(IC) since it’s a local beer.
