We’ve eaten here a couple of times. I always try to give a place at least two opportunities before writing a review, particularly if it isn’t great. The service is mediocre — not what I would call bad, but it’s very slow and the staff isn’t particularly attentive to the customers. Both times our order was not ready when we arrived and we had to wait 10+ minutes for the food — these were not busy times btw. What was particularly strange was that on both occasions, the pizza was rapidly cooling by the time we got it home(5 – 7 minutes) and once it cools, the cheese turns into an incredibly dense block. We’ve had the cheese, pepperoni and The Works pizzas. I’ve also had the Chef’s Salad. Sadly, the salad is better than the pizza IMO… it was plentiful and pretty tasty. The pizza is generic, with absolutely nothing to make it stand out. If I had to recommend one of the pizzas at gunpoint, I would recommend the pepperoni over any of the others but it’s not much better than the others. Small pepperoni appears to be an Ohio thing and I was surprised at the pepperoni at Tammy’s. I’ve eaten at Creno’s Pizza in Mt. Vernon a dozen times or so, as the guys often order it for lunch meetings when I’m there. The first time I heard of the place and saw the pizza, I assumed it was going to be bad/mediocre pizza. I was very surprised by how much I liked it. The sauce is tasty, the crust thin and crunchy, the cheese gets a nice browning on it and the pepperoni has a nice spice to it. I thought Tammy’s was going to be very similar but the pepperoni is somehow bland. This pizza is a bit of a mystery to me. On the surface, it looks very good and we really wanted to like it. The toppings look right, there’s plenty of cheese, there’s enough sauce, but somehow it fails in the end. The crust is too thick to crunch and too thin to be considered hand tossed… to me it’s a bit doughy. I wish I could differentiate or think of a different word to describe the individual components but bland is all I can think of right now… the cheese, the crust, the sauce — all bland. It’s not the worst pizza I’ve had but personally I’d find somewhere else to go unless you just want a generic pizza.

Much better on the mushrooms! I stopped in a couple weeks ago and ordered the veggie sub and the mushrooms tasted like mushrooms, they didn’t make my sub taste like it came from a tin can. I haven’t ordered them on pizza yet, but so far it’s a definite improvement. A thank you to Mark Y. from Tammy’s for letting me know these concerns were addressed and corrected. That, to me, shows an establishment that cares about its customers and their experiences with the food. Keep up the good work!

In the year we have been in GC we gave ordered lots of times from Tammys. Had a few hiccups but never big deal. It happens. Usually a very upbeat bubble lady answers phone. But this time, not. Noticed right away poor attitude. But hey, we all have bad days. Well seems she was hell bent on messing up pizza. Got a text affirming our usual pick up place(on hover) but said the didnt have it. So did a redail. yep it was on hoover. But they did not have one under our name or phone number. Then gentleman puts it together. Pizza by now was cold and was offered an Im sorry. Who ever took order on Dec 222015 @551 needs to apperciate her job or find a new one.

Really you buy two fountain drinks. Nothing non carbonated and no water. I turn to ask the lady behind the counter about if they have water. And at no surprised the answer is no only bottle water. Really I buy a fountain drink so I’m not asking for a free cup for water at no surprise machine has no water. And the help just went back to doing what they wanted. This has been and will be my last trip to Tammy’s pizza in GroveCity Ohio.

I really like Tammy’s. They have two locations, one on Hoover and one on Broadway and I feel like the one on Hoover seems to serve better. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza is filling, that’s for sure! Highly recommend.

I was pretty impressed with the pizza here. We decided to stop in for dinner before a grocery run randomly one night. The dining part of the restaurant is pretty small so a big group dining in probably wouldn’t work. It appeared clean and we didn’t have any issues. We ordered half cheese and half sausage. It was very good! There was a decent amount of cheese and the crust was crispy. The sausage was alright and not super tiny. The price was not too bad either. I would say standard. We will definitely be back for another visit!

This place did not disappoint. Here is what we ordered: Pizza(with Chicken & Mushrooms) — it was packed with toppings and the cheese was very melty(if that’s a word. Ha) the crust was a-mazing. Crispy throughout the bottom, but not burnt. Garlic Cheese Bread — comes with marinara sauce. One of my favs. Chicken Wings(boneless) — awesome! The breading was perfect and they don’t over-sauce it. Chicken Wings(original) — greeeat flavor, but they were kind of fatty. :/ Chicken Fajita Sub — this was my least favorite. Didn’t have any Mexican flavorings, which is needed since there is no sauce on it. That’s it! An amazing place for lunch.

Great pizza. Crispy on the bottom crust, but chewy. Generous cheese and toppings. Only negative is canned mushrooms. Why o why do they do that? I’ll just skip mushrooms next time.

Drove all the way out here in hopes of good pizza. And good pizza is what i got. However i didn’t like that i was given one packet of salad dressing for two people. And upon asking for another after paying for my meal. They wanted me to run my card again for 25 cents. I mean really? They also have a bunch of teenaged girls working there. Wouldn’t have mind some variety. The one who we asked about the salad dressing was a bit snotty. Id get their pizza again. But ill be taking the piZza home.

Tammy’s Pizza was the first dinner we had when we moved to Grove City three years ago. We loved it so much we order something from them at least once a week. The pizza crust and sauce tastes homemade(it probably is too) and not sweet like some sauces are(I’m a diabetic so that’s important to me). We order different toppings but our go to is half pepperoni and cheese. We also really enjoy their subs, salads, wings and dinners. We have never been disappointed with anything we have ordered. The staff is always friendly. Although we always call ahead for takeout, there is seating available and it always looks clean. We compare all others to Tammy’s and really they don’t live up to taste or price. Tammy’s is our go to for a meal and pizza!

LOVELOVELOVE. The best pizza place in Grove City hands down. My family and I have been coming here for several years and its never disappointed. The pizza is not too thin and not too thick. I’d like to compare it to Rotolos although Tammy’s sauce is a bit sweeter, which I love! I usually get the classic pepperoni and cheese and my parents get the Works. The Works has everything on it and they don’t cheat you on the toppings. If you have a large group, don’t sweat it. Tammy’s has XL pizzas! Overall, the pizza doesn’t taste cheap like your typical Pizza Hut or dominos and they never cheat you on the ingredients!

Once upon a time Cattleman’Pizza s was my favorite in the Grove city area. Then their cheese changed. I was so sad. Then — I discovered Tammy’s. A little pricey, 22 dollars for an extra large cheese with two sodas, but the tangy Parmesan cheese bite is there! When we go to Grove city to hear musician friends play, we always go to Tammy’s for an extra large cheese. Our cheese pizza is never greasy. Maybe it is the pepperoni they use?

I’m a big fan of Tammy Pizza — it’s some of the best in town. I usually get a pep and sausage pizza. Their sausage is fresh and you can tell. I also LOVE their garlic bread with cheese — do yourself a favor and get it well done. That extra time in the oven works miracles. The pie can be a little greasy(all those tiny, delicious pepperonis) and the prices are a little high, but it’s a mom and pop joint and I expect to pay a little more. I wish they were closer to where I live!

5÷13÷14: I decided to try Tammy’s Gluten-Free pizza. I am trying to limit my gluten and this was the first GF pizza I’ve tried. I must say, it was delicious. The crust tasted the same has Tammy’s regular crust. My only observation was the pizza was extra greasy. I’m wondering if the GF crust doesn’t absorb grease like a regular crust, but this pizza was dripping grease. Also note: this is not a 100% gluten free pizza. I do not have Celiac’s but I just want to reduce my gluten intake. This pizza is prepared around items containing gluten. If you need a 100% GF pizza, check out your local grocery store for frozen GF pizza… or make your own.

First let me start by saying Tammy’s pizza is amazing. I love the crust, the sauce, and the toppings are always fresh. The only reason Tammy’s didn’t get five stars is because their boneless chicken wings are terrible. They were really greasy and had a lot of gristle in them. I just could not eat them and I had to throw them away. If they had boneless wings that tasted more like Rooster’s boneless wings it would be a double win. That said they still have the best pizza in Grove City! !

Discovered Tammys Pizza 10+ years ago. I wish I got to Grove City more often to be able to indulge in this pizza. Had it today. As usual it was fantastic. The pepperonis and the crust are very consistent and unique. Both with a crispy bite. I’m a NY Style Pizza fan by definition… Though having grown up on Rubino’s it’s still my favorite — but Tammy’s Pizza is a quality pizza-and the best I’ve had in Central Ohio in a long time. It has never disappointed.

I will preface this review with the fact that I grew up in Grandview, or in the pizza world, the Tri-Village Trifecta of great pizza. I was still excited reading all the great reviews about Tammy’s, and after moving in to the area, felt good I would have some good pie close by. Sorry, but it ain’t so. Ate there today for lunch. Got a pep and sausage, and it just wasnt good. First, the pie was greasy, greasy, greasy. You could literally pour the grease off the cardboard disk. Same with the toppings… the pep, sausage, and cheese were just saturated with grease. This, and the fact that I think it was under cooked, meant the crust was soggy. No crispiness happiness here. And the sauce… just how much sugar does a pizza sauce need? This sauce is some of the sweetest Ive ever had. It reminded me of that Chef Boyardee stuff you ate as a kid… yuck. Maybe Grove Cityans just dont have anything better, and thats too bad. I guess Ill just keep my pizza bag in the car, and tote home Tommy’s, Roltolos, and Panzaras.

Tammy’s is one of my fav pizza places! Their sauce is tasty and they don’t skimp on the cheese! They have a nice crispy thinner crust that is usually the perfect balance of crunchy and chewy. Would do 5 stars, but sometimes their younger staff members aren’t very knowledgeable about their menu or prices.

DEREK: Tammy’s Pizza is holding on to some of the elements that I would incorporate into my own pizza shop. Although I won’t be having my grand opening soon, I will say that they have the beginnings of something great. DEREK: I have certain combinations of pizza that I order and stick to them closely. I had the extra cheese, pep, and Italian sausage combo that all pizza shops should hit out of the park — and Tammy’s delivers(well actually they don’t deliver the pizzas though — pick up only). Their crust is to die for and the edge to edge toppings get stuck into the cheesy vortex of the pie. Tammy’s also has the cheese that makes you curl your toes and beg for more. TROY: Get a room! I’ll wait until you are done… okay done? So I have a favorite too for the litmus test of pizza joints, it’s pepperoni, sausage and mushroom. The good was the pepperoni, sausage and cheese. The great was the crust, I like it chewy with a good crisp crunch, it had that times 2. The bad, no, the horrible, CANNEDMUSHROOMS, blech! Come on folks, spend a $ 1 and use fresh shrooms! DEREK: I agree Troy, the reason Tammy’s is not a 5 star pizza shop is simple — canned toppings are a no go in my book. DEREK: Surprise of the visit was they took the water option off their soda fountain. Uncool! However I will give them props for only charging 75 cents for a bottled water. That is cheap compared to most places. TROY: I complained, sorry! I think that no matter how small of a place you go to, they should offer water, for free. I enjoyed the pizza for the most part, but my surprise was the next day with how well Tammy’s pizza reheats. Place slices in cold toaster oven(or lower rack of real oven), turn dial to 400* and set timer for 12 minutes. Perfecto!
