My family was at the Recovery Room on Altamont Ave in Schenectady yesterday at 4:45 for dinner and we all order burgers and onion rings and french fries, The food was NOT that good 1 burger was missing one of the toppings which was extra, one burger was well over cooked, and my burger was also missing the cheese. The waitress on a scale of 1 – 10, 1 being the worst which is what she was. We ordered our drinks which was either tea or soda and she never brought the kids soda’s out we had to ask another waitress about them. My son asked for a bottle of beer and the waitress never brought it to us in fact the manager had too. We complained about the over done burger because it was one of the kids they offered to send us home with one they should of just taken the price off the meal. Will never go back there to eat. Come to find out the waitress who waited on us is a friend of the owner so nothing will be done, this is the 2nd time she has waited on us and she sucks she needs to find a different job. She also came to remove plates at one point and one of the kids wanted more soda I had to get rude with her just to get her attention on the empty glass needing to be refilled. Will not go back there.

Enjoyable atmosphere to watch a University of Albany game. Salad was good, Beer was cold and staff seemed to be having a good time.

I recommend coming here only for the salads. They actually are good. We’ve tried to veer off and try other things when we stop in for lunch but it’s been a mistake. The wings are forgettable and the chili completely lacks flavor. It was mostly chunks of tomatoes. Do not look to get in and out of here in a timely manner either. The service is slow and not very professional. The interior is great for watching sports of course but I’m sure there are better places to go. It’s a shame since there are no good places in this area to hang out for games. If they actually took time to make the food good here and train their people correctly they could probably do a good business.

appetizers are very good And their drinks are also. Overall dinner wise I have not been very impressed. The inconsistency of food quality has been quite apparent. I would recommend going for drinks after work with friends but not dinner

Don’t go for the food. Two fish tacos with about a tablespoon of charred mahi between them. All filler. Chicken wrap same thing. 70% lettuce. Won’t go back.

What I like about this Recovery Room is the set up of the restaurant itself. There are screens everywhere and the walls are covered with local sports paraphernalia. It is an ideal place to watch sports. What I don’t like about it is just about everything else. I’ve been to this RR4 times now, and the most recent experience was the best one and pretty much the only reason I didn’t give it 1 star. Prior to this last trip, I’ve had my order taken wrong/what I ordered is not what I got from the kitchen, I found a hair in the middle of my turkey sandwich, and I’ve been served overpriced mixed drinks that were 90% ice. And their menu is not on the cheap side, so this was not something I could just shrug off time after time. I was surprised, though I shouldn’t have been, because the service at the RR on New Scotland Ave was also pretty poor. I’d had enough, and was prepared to write the place off, but after receiving a RR gift card I decided to go again and hope for the best while preparing for the worst. My husband and I started with the hummus appetizer. The hummus was average(very pasty, but the taste was decent) but it did come with a variety of vegetables instead of just pita or chips, which I liked. For my main course I ordered the Thai noodle/grilled chicken salad, and it was very good. The chicken was hot off the grill and I liked the dressing, which had a zing to it. I also ordered a glass of white wine that only ran me $ 7 and it was a good sized pour. I wasn’t sure how much it would be since the the drink menu shows no prices, which is a pet peeve of mine. This time the service was quick and the orders were taken/delivered correctly, and for that I am thankful. Overall, though, unless I receive another gift card, I will not return. There are so many better places to go, and for less/comparable money!

Nice atmosphere but too bright. I was carded, been awhile since that happened. Philly cheese steak had no relation to Philly or steak.
