In an area that takes its thin crust New Haven style pizza seriously, Carpanzano’s stands out! While there are other thin crust pizzas around, I find the pie here to be consistent, reasonably priced, and quick to pick up. If the call comes in that the troops want pizza, I can pick it up on the way home,(with a bottle of red wine from the package store) and not miss a beat… Never disappointed with the pie, though the salads are pretty basic and not jazzed up at all, they could use a little help. I have not tried anything else here.

The BEST thin crust pizza! Owner was super nice. Ham, olive, mush, artichoke pizza was sublime! Their own brand of soda not bad either. Just passing through town but I will book mark this place just in case I’m ever in the area again. Thanks for a great dinner!

Got a pepperoni pizza and not impressed, very thin, saucy taste from beginning to end, burnt crust, I had much better but also much worse, no taste at all besides the sauce, not impressed, they had my favorite Orange drink from Foxon Park drinks, that was awesome :-) so thin it felt like a snack rather than lunch lol

Since I’m from Long Island New York challenge to find decent pizza up here since I been up here June 2012. I found some horrible places some ok places. It’s still kind of baffles me this whole red or white thing. All pizza in New York comes with red sauce unless you’re getting a white pie which is mozz. w/ricotta cheese some people add spinach or broccoli. Then you can get leave a white clam pizza that way. Obviously we have taco pizza doesn’t to have spaghetti sauce. Also love salad pizza which is very hard to find. Anyway… their pizza is very good not very oily. They make a Sicilian pizza which is usually hard to find. It’s not too thick not too thin on their sauces phenomenal on it. Like most NY pizza places the sauce is always a little different then the round pizza. They also make stuffed bread heroes and other things. They do deliver for free. With their round pieces they tend to cut bangs into the smaller sizes. Also what I like about the Sicilian if there’s no centerpieces they go directly down the middle and then the other way so each piece has crust. It freezes well and reheat very well. My favorite is the plain, meatball, mushroom. I never get toppings on the Sicilian. Meatball & chicken parmesan heroes are great!

We are having a travel day from hell – all flights out of DC area canceled, and today’s the first day of our Cape Cod vacation. So we rent a car and drive on four hours sleep. Around 8 pm we realize we have to eat. I hop on Unilocal and settle on pizza; this fine establishment is 30 minutes away. Done. 35 minutes after arrival, we have consumed an entire completely delicious pizza and some awesome local soda, served by some speedy and extremely friendly people. If I ever find myself back here again, I’d eat this pizza in a heartbeat.

Stick with the pizza here… good thin crust and nice sauce. We also ordered penne with meatballs and penne with vodka sauce. The meatballs were excellent but the pasta was wayyy too aldente. I ordered the vodka sauce based on someone else’s positive review, but it had absolutely no flavor. We’ll definitely return for the tasty pizza and friendly, attentive service.

Omg — incredible! Salad with caesar, pizza, and phenomenal penne with vodka sauce. Old fashion mom & pop place, it has 4 booths and will primarily make to-go. Stop and eat here!

Ate here passing through on the way to Mystic. Great cheese pizza by the slice(thank goodness, my kid wasn’t gonna wait for a whole pie to cook), I had a fantastic Italian sub on a nice fresh crispy loaf – I’ve forgotten how much difference the bread makes, since I’ve been trapped in Maryland for so long. Friendly service.

We are so lucky to have Carpanzano’s right down the hill from our house. Great pizza — crispy crust, good sauce, a little char. Great New Haven style pizza! Highly recommend!

The best pizza on the shoreline. No need to go to New Haven. Thin crust, rich flavor and ready in 20 minutes. Order immediately.

We tried the«Clams Casino» tonight(white). It was quite good, actually amazing(per my wife and daughter). They used fresh clams and didn’t skimp on the quantity. Crust and bacon was nice and crispy. Wasn’t a cheap pie(large was $ 23) but well worth it. Previously we have ordered Mushroom/Onion or just plain cheese pies and they have been good, but this clams casino was worthy of a picture(attached).

This is our go-to pizza delivery place. Simple cheese, thin crust, nothing fancy but always delicious and better than most other pizza places we’ve tried in Guilford. The veggie pizza is surprisingly good with mushrooms, onion, broccoli, spinach. For upscale brick oven, go Bufalina but you’ll need to order 3 – 4 pies to feed the same # of people. Buffalo wings are great as well as the caprese salad.

Pro: they delivered to an awkward address. Con: they accidentally delivered dog shit instead. Pro: still pretty good but hella dry Con: they won’t deliver again.

Thin crust pizza, ala Pepes in new haven. Light on cheese, heavy on sauce on toppings. The toppings we had(meatballs, eggplant, mushrooms) were very tasteful, the meatballs in particular were excellent. We also ordered chicken wings which were a bit dry overall, although I didn’t get any dressing(just buffalo sauce) service at the counter was fast, and as friendly as expected. I noticed there were places indoors to eat. they also have a large dinner menu. we’ll try it again when not ordering pizza.

Cozy little pizza/sandwich shop located just off 95. Randomly stopped in one day on my way from NYC. Got an Italian sub and was pleasantly surprised. Not much to say other than it was a quality sandwich. Quick tip… Run next door and buy a drink at Dunkin bc the selection here is awful. Also there’s no bathroom so there’s another reason to hit up DD.

Stumbled upon this place by mistake when originally was going to the Dunkin Donuts next door on a pit stop driving to RI. Great little find with excellent sandwiches, friendly staff and cute clean area to sit in. If back in the area will definitely return!

$ 2.20 cheese slices. Small place, old school pizzeria vibe. No slices waiting when I got there so I waited a few minutes for a fresh slice pie and it was worth the wait. Nice cheese, crispy crust with a little new havenesque char and some spotting on the bottom. Decent slice, worth stopping in … Having a great Italian bakery next door makes it a good stop for a slice and a cannoli or whatever you need.

After one visit, I’m sure I’ll be back! Bacon and onion pizza was excellent – crispy bacon, crispy crust, sweet onions, and an excellent sauce. I can’t wait to try other menu items…

Very good pizza. I only tried it once but I’m going to presume my next visit will be just as good. The inside is fairly small and they mostly do take-out. However there are a few booths inside. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was one particular spice on the pizza. I’m not sure what it was, maybe garlic or oregano. It was a bit overwhelming and permeated throughout my car. By the way, this place can’t get any more Italian than it already is. None of that foul Greek pizza stuff found here. I hear the cook is from Italy and when I walked inside the cashier women was speaking Italian to her kid. Capiche?
