This place is bla compared to the Stonehouse Tavern across the street which is always packed. I mean you want to love this place for the view, but you just wont. For mediocre food/service at a good location but bad price, this is your jam… sorry…

I actually really enjoy this restaurant. The food is always been good. The service is always acceptable. The location is amazing including the wonderful view of the ocean. In the atmosphere is always fun. Pricing is also really good I’m always coming back here at least 5 to 6 times a year.

The menu has almost nothing good on it and it seems like everything is prepared as inexpensively as possible with a ton of rice.

I had the stuffed lobster. It was cooked perfectly. I was expecting a 1 – 1.5 pound lobster; but they gave me probably a 2 pounder for such a large size, it was still tender and delicious. The views are awesome and the service was good. I wasn’t a big fan for the stuffing used; it was more bready than crab filled.

So, we went last spring, and there was a hair in my shrimp wrap. Blech. Then I forgot about that, and went again a few weeks ago. It was okay, not great. Strong drinks, if that’s your thing. Not going again.

In spite of the negative reviews, we decided to give this place a try. We sat outside on a very lovely night. The lobster roll was just right and so was the chicken panini. Service was fine and we enjoyed ourselves. We will come again.

We went on a Friday night. Very busy, but we made reservations and were seated immediately. Our waitress was right there, and friendly. I got soup and a salad with salmon. Soup was good, salad not so much. The salmon was very limited on the seasonings, and the croutons were soggy. My husband enjoyed his fried scallops, but pricy. The waitress tried to tell me that the croutons on the salad were dressed before the salmon was cooked. I think she meant yesterday. I am not in a hurry to go back. Plenty of restaurants on the shore that serve excellent meals at a decent price

This place is such a shame. We wanted so badly to like this restaurant due to it’s location but sadly, we cannot. Between the slow service and lackluster food, it just simply isn’t worth it. Right before writing this review, my boyfriend asked me to look it up on Unilocal to see if it’s gotten any better so we can give it another try. We could not believe the GM’s unprofessionalism, and temper tantrum-y attitude towards dissatisfied customers. Due to this, the 50+ other bad reviews, and our previous experience, we will not be returning. If you are thinking about it, do yourself a favor and read some of the reviews and replies, and then ask yourself if you’d like to visit a place where they could clearly care less about you and your experience.

We stopped here after a day at the Madison Surf Club. My husband ordered the sicilian calamari and finished the plate. The lobster roll I had was delicious(for being on a hot dog bun). Our son’s hotdog was huge and the fries extremely hot. Service was great but i felt bad for them because it was very toasty in there and they all were visibly warm.

The live band was fun to listen to but I suppose it depends on the crowd that night. I had the raspberry Bellini which tasted a bit sweet. The drink prices are a bit high for young graduate students but if you got the money then go for it!

I’m glad we stopped by! I didn’t know this little Guilford-sea-town nook existed. Good lobster bisque and clam chowder. I like their fenced in outdoor seating area. They have large umbrellas over the out-door bar. You can sit at the bar or at a table under umbrellas. They have a few craft beers on tap. I had a Sam Summer. Staff was attentive enough. No complaints on the food. The bisque could have used some spice but it was still creamy delicousness. My fiancé had a clam strip roll with fries. I thought it was all decent ocean-side fare. Parking is not great on a sunny, Sunday afternoon but we found some across the street over near in the Marina lot. They also had a live guitar singer duo singing such songs as California Dreaming and Alanis Morisette’s Ironic.

Half hour wait turned into forty five plus. No bread no salad. Bartenders were good, drinks ok, food decent. waiter could have been a little more accommodating.

i LIKETHEMOORING… im reading some reviews and i dont think they get it… the food is good… the drinks are good and strong… we only sit at the bar and thats what i suggest… they have a ton of tv’s so we come for sports event-ie women’s world cup soccer my issue-the happy hour is a scam… they give you half the food for half the price… not so happy of an hour… ive worked behind plenty of bars… and never… NEVER have i seen this done… thats not how its supposed to work guys…

The whole dining room is empty except for another party and the hostess seats us right next to them. Why? My boyfriend and I wanted a nice quite romantic lunch and see that the restaurants is not too busy and the hostess has no understanding that we could get be seated one table over. Prices on the menu are ridiculous. We both have a chicken panini and it’s ok for a $ 10 sandwich. The fries are almost black they were over cooked so long. The only thing good was the chipotle sauce. Other than that it would have been better to just bring a deli lunch and sit in the beach. Our waiter was very nice but not very attentive as I wanted to send back the fries. He’s chatting with the clueless hostess the whole time. I guess this is what to expect when you let teenagers run your restaurant. Not going back and would not recommend.

DONOTBEFOOLEDBYTHEEXTERIOR! Love love loved it. Had the seafood trio pasta with fra diavlo sauce, I would have gotten Alfredo but my server talked me into the spicy yummy sauce with bits of clam and capers. Yummorific. It is clean and inviting, and wasn’t at all weird that I was by myself(as I am traveling). A+

I’ve gone in here a couple of times(as I always like to give somewhere a couple of chances before lambasting them). Both times, just for drinks and appetizers. the inside décor is meh and the crowd is a bit sketchy for me. The drinks are über strong to the point of not even tasting good unless you like your vodka straight, and just slightly chilled. But, on the bright side after having a few everyone was slightly better looking. If you’re looking for a seaside biker bar/pick up spot… this is the place for you, but NOT the place for me.

This is a great summertime hangout. The outdoor seating overlooks the marina and they have a live band come in. The food was delicious. It actually tasted much better than it looked. The service could be a bit better. Our waitress was really sweet but had too many tables that were assigned to her at once so it was a bit slow.

Almost a year and a half later I returned to finally try the food here today. My sister and her family were visiting from out of town and we had a craving for oysters. Initially, we started out across the street but it was too crowded so we came here instead. We chose to sit indoors to get a break from the sweltering heat and it was a wise move as we got a table right away(there probably would have been availability outdoors too, didn’t look very busy). We ordered a dozen oysters to share. Generally, they were ok, but some were gritty, one had a little baby crab running around on it, and the accoutrements were lacking. We had to ask for cocktail sauce. No mignonette. The rest of the food was actually pretty good. I ordered the broiled haddock and it was fresh and prepared very well. My sister and her husband, both excellent cooks and serious eaters, enjoyed their fish and chips and salad. Boyfriend ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. No complaints there either. Our waiter was friendly and competent and the atmosphere was casual but nice. I’d come again, maybe, but not for oysters.
