Inexpensive and delicious. Wish the menu was larger, but other than that I’ve had good experiences every time I’ve come here(which has been many times). They give pretty big portions, too!

Found this place last night. My friends and I just walked out satisfied with how inexpensive and the good quality of food being presented. We fell in love with how quick our sushi came out and the flavors from it. I was especially enjoying the quality of seaweed! We are coming back again very soon :)

This place rocks! The food is awesome! The timing is incredibly fast and the ginger dressing is the best. It isn’t fancy, but it makes up for it with deliciousness, generous portions, and cheap prices.

I was SHOCKED to find this place in Gulfport, MS near the interstate. And even more shocked that it was delicious. Upon entering, I conduct a visual once-over to see that this is a place clean enough for me to eat sushi from, and lo and behold, it’s meticulous. Upon seeing actual Japanese people working in the kitchen, I decide ordering rolls with raw fish is safe. I was also excited because this is a counter-ordering restaurant, so I can save the tip! My mom and I had a big lunch, so we decided to share a few rolls. I ordered the Dancing Tuna roll and an off-the-menu spicy salmon roll. My mom got the eel cucumber roll. The Dancing Tuna roll was really great and simple — fresh tuna, avocado, spicy mayo and tempura crunchy bits. The tempura crunch was on the INSIDE, which is super nice because you get the crunch factor without the tempura falling off your bite. My spicy salmon roll used tender, fresh fish and the eel cucumber roll was a good combo of sweet, sticky, crisp and fresh. We each ordered soft drinks and our total was right around $ 20. Not bad for a light sushi dinner. I wish there were more counter-ordering, quick-service, low-price sushi options like this. This isn’t authentic, fancy, or artistic sushi, but it’s a wonderful«Japanese for beginners» option in a part of the country that is saturated with burgers and fried offerings. OH, and you are definitely reminded that you are still in Mississippi when you hear an order of «I’d like the California roll, but instead of the cucumber, can you put in yellow cucumbers?» Translation: she just ordered chunks of dill pickles in her roll. Guh-ross.

Went here hoping for some sushi during lunch since it’s close to my work. I suppose I both took their name too literally, and came unprepared, but considering that there was a full staff on board during a weekday lunch, and only two other people waiting — and nobody dining in – I do not feel that a simple sushi order of three simple rolls(salmon, tuna, cucumber) should have taken over a half hour to prepare. Yet, it did. Come on guys… if you’re not Express, don’t name your business that. So, if you WANT«express» food for your lunch or a quick bite for dinner, I strongly advise calling 10 – 15 minutes prior to arrival. Their«yukimesi»(pronounced like it looks… yucky messy) is THESALTIEST thing I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Not even McDonald’s fries with a whole salt pack thrown on for good measure compares to the level of sodium in this dish. It left me craving a large glass of water after only a few bites. I could not finish it. You will have no choice of vegetable when ordering any kind of stir fry or fried rice combo — zucchini, onion and mushroom is all that’s offered. Honestly, the sushi was just mediocre, perhaps under that. If you go to the Rouse’s on Lorraine/Cowan Rd and are lucky enough to purchase sushi there when their female sushi chef is on duty you will be far more pleased.
