Kois bento box kois lunch with a special roll is our way of treating ourselves to something special. We go about once a month and it is always good. The teriyaki steak and the egg drop soup are both the best I’ve ever had. 5 stars.

The best egg drop soup that I have ever had. We also received a ginger salad that was really good too. I ordered the chicken terakyi which was the best I have ever had. The mango tango roll was on point and had lots of flavor. Great place if you want sushi, hibachi or just plain old Chinese food. Service was average.

Very clean, sleek-modern atmosphere. The service was excellent. We arrived around 1 so it wasn’t very busy. The food was not to die for but was definitely very good and quality. I would go again when passing through!

My family and I just had the worst service and experience here. We came for lunch we had food on our plate before we even got our salad or soup. When the couple next to us asked the cook why we have not received our soup and salad yet he laughed and stated we are busy,(knowing she had been here before) made the comment that last time she was there did she receive her soup and salad, when she stated yes he said well ok then, you see we are busy. ABSOLUTELYRUDEANDUNPROFESSIONAL. Our cook seemed to be so irritated and we had ABSOLUTELY no show, he was rushing to hurry and get done. with three kids we thought there would be more put into it. To top it off the food was just ok, no flavor or anything special. My husband talked to the manager and let him know that our service was horrible, took forever and our cook was pretty much crap, all the manager kept saying was“I not know why he no give show” over and over again. It might of been they were busy or what not but we will not be returning.

Great atmosphere with friendly very attentive staff. I’ve been here many times but I’m finally getting around to posting a review. If I could… I would easily give this place 10 stars. I really enjoy sushi specialty rolls with flavor and delicious toppings. Their menu is full of options for just about any pallet. There are also non sushi options and a hibachi grill. My personal favorite rolls are the Koi, New Orleans, and Hottie Toddy. My 2 favorite appetizers are the egg drop soup and the Koi Flower. I’ve eaten sushi all over the country, at many types of restaurants, and this little place in Gulfport MS is my hands down favorite.

My husband and I went here last night for dinner. The restaurant is very nice inside, and the service was good. We ordered crab rangoons which were good, but everything was downhill from there. I ordered the small sashimi plate, and out of the hundreds of times I have had sushi, this is the first time I’ve had to force myself to eat it. The fish had a grainy texture and tasted old. I think it may have been frozen at some point. My husband ordered an eel roll and a snowcrab roll, both of which tasted like chlorine; the eel more so than the snow crab. We didn’t try the hibachi, so that may be good, but based on our experience with the sushi, we won’t be going back. The only redeeming factors were the service, the ambiance, and the crab rangoons. Since only one of those things was food related, I would steer clear and spend your $ 50 elsewhere.

Surprised to find decent sushi in a hotel. I ordered two rolls, California and a roll with crawfish. I got extra tobiko(fish eggs) on the California and they didn’t charge me. The crawfish roll was good. I have never had a roll with crawfish and the meat was delicate and flavorful. I imagine anything with shrimp or crawfish or oysters will be good since they can source them locally. I avoided salmon items because it would have to come far and would have been frozen. Overall I enjoyed my meal. The only downside was not enough ginger or wasabi.

Always good food and service! Never left w/o a happy meal! Very clean and friendly staff. Though I know they have similar menu as Saki(sister restaurant). The food here is better! Very fresh sushi! Will always come back!

I normally find myself hesitating when I want hibachi. Why? When I go out, I’m usually a party of one. We know that hibachi grills normally seat around 8. I couldn’t resist my craving for hibachi so I decided to visit Koi. I was seated, all alone, at a hibachi grill. My waiter came right over and assured me that I was fine and that if I had to sit alone it was no inconvenience at all. I ordered the scallop hibachi. Soon afterwards, a group of 6 found themselves joining me.(I thought they felt sorry for me.) I also wanted some sushi but I didn’t know what I wanted exactly. I spoke to the waiter and he suggested the ‘Uncle Roll’. I’m a picky eater, but I trusted him. Afterall, he didn’t even hesitate when I described to him what I was looking to divulge myself into this evening. The sushi came and it was everything and then some!!! The chef that cooked the food was great. He was very engaging and the way he shook those spices and cooked the vegetables had me wanting to take him home… lather me up in butter add a little garlic and call me «grilled»…just kidding. I’ll take a to-go plate instead. Oh, how could I forget the egg drop soup??? Add a little pepper and it was on point! You can’t lose with Koi. I’d highly recommend!

Unilocal was spot on with this restaurant. 4.5 stars would be my rating as well. This was my first visit. I had a Hibachi lunch. My order consisted of egg drop soup appetizer(the best I’ve ever had), steak and shrimp, and the mixed vegetables. Everything was excellent including the service. My iced tea was never empty. I wish I could have tried some sushi, but since this was Lunch, I kept the«cals» reasonable. The sushi ordered by the rest of the table looked fantastic however. I will definitely be back when in the area again.

Great place! Good service, food came out pretty fast and they have non-sushi options, I.e. Fried rice, hibachi, and good portions also. Everything tastes good. Can go casual or dress up, attached to hotel. Not five stars because I had to go into hotel to use restroom which was a bit inconvenient with being in hotel guests way and I live in the west coast so we have lots of yummy sushi and it’s hard to decide which is best sometimes. Worth trying

This is my all time favorite sushi on the MS gulf coast. It’s always fresh and the service is usually prompt and polite. Regular sushi prices not cheap but not the most expensive I have seen. Never had the habachi so I cannot comment on that. But the sushi is worth every penny. Now if I could teach myself to not over order of be in better shape!

Man… listen. This was some good Sushi. But the eggdrop soup was the !! I was here on business and needed to eat, so a friend of mine recommended Koi. I didn’t look at the reviews, but decided she was probably right if she said it was good. She was wrong, it was fabulous! I walked in hungry, and I had been to work so I had on a Spanx. TMI, but on my walk to the bathroom in the hotel I decided the carpet wasn’t really clean in the hotel, so I wasn’t going to like the food. However, once I removed the offending Spanx I realized I was just being squeezed silly and I didn’t really mean it. And THEN, when I was seated, one of the seats was ripped. And if you’ve read past reviews, you know I despise ripped seats with a passion. Despise.them.with.a.passion. But, the food. I wanted a fried crabstick, but the waitress quickly warned me that it was made with imitation crab. Score one for her, because I would have been pissed, especially since my seat was ripped. She recommended the eggdrop soup, which was phenomenal! Then, she recommended the top three sushi rolls, so we just told her to bring us all of them. The were fresh, hot(the fried ones), beautiful, and crazy tasty. The food was so good that I even ordered dessert, which turned out to be excellent as well. I will definitely come back here. Like, maybe even tomorrow.

Good food nice atmosphere. The cucumber crab salad was excellent and the Fried rice with several types of fish as well. I had it made without the shrimp and was pleasantly surprised that it was prepared with 3 types of fish and scallops. I’ll return for another meal!

Really fresh seafood. Great variety. Reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere. The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars is because the wait staff can be a hit or miss. One waitress we had was extremely rude, the other was so quite we constantly had to ask him to repeat himself. Other than that, great little find. Don’t judge it by the fact that it’s attached to a hotel. It’s worth the stop if you’re looking for great sushi or hibachi
