On a hunt for some grownup bedroom furniture, my wife and I ended up finding the most success here. Thankfully we were armed with a «new to the neighborhood» coupon which helped ease the pain of purchasing a headboard, nightstands, and dressers. Almost everything needed to be ordered and the headboard was on back order. The only irritating part if you’re using a coupon is — you cannot have the coupon amount applied to your order if you choose to have it shipped to your house. Repeat — you only get the discount if you have it shipped to their store and you pick it up(at least that’s what they told us). That aside — their customer service was top notch. They honored our discount even on the item that was on back order. Loading the items up from the loading dock was fine. It’s odd that they don’t have a stock person working there to help, especially because you’re not allowed to go in the stock room to help move our items(liability, I get it). All in all, we’ll keep them in consideration for future furniture purchases because the experience went pretty smoothly.

This was the only location which carried the bar-stools I needed, so I made the trek up here to get them. This location is quite large! It was a nice one to walk around. The employees were ‘ok’, not overly friendly.

Love pier 1 but lately I’ve noticed that their employees are getting super pushy! Employees have gone up to me on several occasions in one visit asking if I need help and once the lady didn’t ask, she just started talking to me about what I’m looking at, thankfully she had to walk away to check out a customer and I made a mad dash out of the store. I really hate pushy employees! I need to think and look. If I need help then i’ll ask. The pier 1 in mundelein is the same way now too. Maybe they’re making commission now?
