This location is the ‘corporate’ kiosk inside Gurnee Mills mall. Marvin was our sales rep, for lack of a better term, since he wasn’t wearing a name tag. I was switching from AT&T to T-M and keeping my old phone number easy breezy… um not! Marvin told me that I would have my number up a running in 24 hours and he would text me the next day to confirm and follow up. He never called… surprise surprise. I called him specifically(he gave me a card with his info) and asked why hasn’t my numbered transferred and guess what he said… I will look into the issue and call you back in a few minutes. He never called. I called the toll free number from T-M’s website and after being transferred 3x’s I was told that the process can take up to 72 hours. AREYOUKIDDINGME? Nope they weren’t kidding. This has been a pain and did I mention that when I’m out of T-M’s network I can’t send pics via text?? UGH! Oh.and T-mobile was NOT able to transfer my old number because they didn’t do it in the allotted time frame before my contract ended with AT&T. BUMMER!

I’ve been to a lot of T-mobile stores, especially since I’ve been a T-mobile customer for the past decade, and I’ve had a LOT of bad experiences at them, from one guy laughing in my face– and then the same guy later lying to my face, but this one honestly takes the cake. I went to this store because I needed help with my new Samsung Galaxy S3. I needed to transfer over 800 contacts, as well as troubleshoot the fact that about 75% of my calls couldn’t go through/and I couldn’t receive calls either. Which I thought was the whole point to having a cellphone… There were two people working there at the time. A young girl and a slightly older guy.-late-20s The girl was easily flustered and immediately went to pass me onto the guy so that he could transfer my contacts, which he did just fine. As for the fact that my calls kept on failing, he looked at me and said«It’s a new phone. There aren’t any problems with it.» And then he DISMISSED me. I had to call into the T-Mobile support to finally get it fixed, but the condescending attitude in a service industry? He was awful. Totally unwarranted, especially when I was being incredibly polite. He was just a prime exemplification of how far T-mobile’s customer service has fallen over the years. Honestly, dealing with the service desk at a Wal-mart after Christmas was more pleasant, and even that was soul-wrenching.
