Traveling late into the day, we needed a place where we could erect our tent, enjoy a cocktail, and make our dinner. Bob had a nice spot for us out on the lawn and close to the river. Although there were no trees, we were able to position our vehicle so that it was between our tent and the RV campers.(We were the only tent campers.) We enjoyed our breakfast and a warm shower the following morning before hitting the road. There were some mosquitoes as another reviewer alluded, but nothing that our repellent couldn’t handle. And some minor traffic noise from the highway that vanished within minutes of our head hitting the pillow. The restrooms and showers were clean and in good repair.

2 ½ stars. I stayed here for about 4 days, prices are reasonable. Really close to the river, unfortunately, there are so many large bushes/weeds you can’t see the river from the rv park. The entrance and office to the park is really nice. It has so much potential. Laundry room is clean but lacks convienence. No quarter machine or soap dispenser. We asked the office for quarters and they didn’t have any… We had to drive into Gypsum to get quarters. The spaces are nicely sized and some spaces had fire rings, which I believe you can move from site to site. The main issue, with the gorgeous whether, this place had so many mosquitos, it was almost impossible to sit outside. :(I think with all the brush and rain, it created a warm damp environment for a bajillion mosquitos to grow. They had a single tree at each site, they could use more shade trees as the rv park is very open with little shade. This park could call for a premium if they cleared the brush so the river was in view and add more shade trees.
