My family and I were in the area after some family business and starving. Despite the name of this restaurant, they don’t necessarily specialize in noodles. They serve a variety of Cantonese food. The food here is OK for the most part but there were a few things I absolutely did not appreciate. First, several items on the menu are crossed out because they don’t serve them any longer. Then there are other items you ask for but they say they don’t have it. If you want to order something off the lunch menu with a certain price listed, they say it costs more than the price listed if we want it for lunch. WTF. Drinks are supposed to come with the lunch but because we were OK with paying the higher than listed price, then it didn’t come with the drink special. Ugh. Onto the food: My mom had the wonton noodle soup with beef stew. The portion was generous and she enjoyed it. My brother had the yellow curry with chicken which he also enjoyed. I ordered the three-flavored kung pao dish. It contained chicken, shrimp and baby scallops. I did not enjoy it. The scallops gave the dish an unpleasant fishiness. It did not come with rice and they said I’d have to pay for a bowl if I wanted it. What kind of Chinese restaurant are you?! I wouldn’t have been so peeved if my brother’s dish was also without rice but he did have rice so I got some from his plate. When the bill came, none of the prices were as they were listed or mouthed off to us. My dish was charged as a seafood kung pao which it was not. It was mostly chicken and onions. I was beyond frustrated and just deducted it from the tip. Having these three dishes and two beverages plus tip was over $ 50. It was so not worth it. They gave us a $ 5 off coupon for our next visit. It went straight into the trash on my way out.

We enjoyed this place — food was great & ambience was great too! The lady(I think she was the owner) was very nice. Would definately stop by here again. Very reasonable pricing for the quality of their food. Very clean restaurant.

We had a very good experience here. Came here on a weekday for lunch. The restaurant was very spacious and open. We got a booth against the wall right away and provided with these extensive menus with a lot of items to choose from. Most of the items are very traditional standard Chinese food. We ordered 3 dishes to share. We didn’t have to wait long at all before our food came out. The portions are HUGE! And we’ll worth the price we paid. Most dishes range from $ 6 to $ 10, very reasonable. We couldn’t finish the food and got lots of left overs! The food tasted good, authentic and flavorful. Many dishes comes with complimentary bowl of rice which is very nice. Our waitress was very efficient and nice. We also received a free drink with the Unilocal check-in. Bathrooms were clean, tables are clean. Parking can be a bit crazy in the plaza due to all the popular shops in the same building: 85C, 168 market. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The food here was average to say the least. For the price, I would have expected much better. I usually would have checked their reviews first, but for some reason, we just walked in. It should have been a warning sign that the restaurant was near empty. The server sat us immediately, placed the menus down and walked away, no offer of water or drinks. She returned to a table where she and another employee were preparing dumplings and lost all sight on us and the other customers. The menu was a challenge in itself, there are so many items marked off with a sharpie and could stand to be wiped down more thoroughly. After about 15 minutes, I had to call out to the server, from across the room to get her attention. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken with no nuts, not because I have an allergy, I just don’t like them. When the order came, my dish was loaded with nuts! I would have sent it back but the server was lost in making her dumplings. We finished our meal, our waters and waited. We waited and waited and waited and still no service. I once again had to call out to her to get her attention. We paid our bill and made our way out of the restaurant. Now, I don’t require a «thank you» «please come again», «have a nice day» or even a smile, but if you are going to stand at the front, looking directly at us as we leave, say something, anything! A little acknowledgement would be nice. Service– 1 star Price for quality– 1 star Quality of food– 2.5 stars

If I can give no star or negative star I def give them negative 5. I ordered a plate of XO noodle with no green onion. They forgot to cook with no onion, instead of giving me a new plate, the waitress told me to pick out the green onion myself with a laughing face and it was LOTOFGREENONION. I was pissed off and tell them please be careful next time. The waitress told the other girl that we are very generous on our plate size and indirectly telling me that I should stop complaining. I hope the CLOSE down soon with this shitty attitude and how the heck they have A. This place is so dirty and the floor is so slippery. The Menus are so sticky and messy. I actually like this place, I was a little put off by the review but I was in this plaza meeting someone so I decided to come here anyways. The service was good, I came on a Wednesday night and it was empty I was able to claim my free drink I got a lemon tea with little sugar. The food is okay I would eat here again if I was in the area. I got beef with egg sauce over rice and my friend got beef fry noodle(gorn chow ow hor) both was good nothing to write home about but it was standard. Their soup is really good though, it’s about $ 6 and the flavor is very good.

I loved this place cuz they offer both Vietnam food and Cantonese food at the same place. But recently thy crossed out ALL the Vietnam food on the menu and no longer serve those at this place !! I’m wondering why they do that and make me and my friends so pissed !! :(

After a morning hike at the park across the street, a friend and I came here and shared a plate of their Beef Chow Fun($ 9), which I thought had too much oil and did not have enough savory flavor. Also ordered their Green Onion Pancake($ 4), which tasted too dry and deep fried. It lacked the softer crispier feel of the green onion pancakes that I am used too. Prices are pretty cheap though during the lunch special hours from 11am-3pm.

Got the beef noodle soup with wonton. Wasnt really what i was expecting and it was just ok. Didnt see anythin too creative with the menu. Its just your basic hk chinese and some viet dishes. Ive had better chinese elsewhere so sadly i cant say id be back here.

When you have a Unilocal check in for free tea, please honor it! Worst customer service here, food here is fine but the whole dining experience here is terrible. Literally had to fight with the manager about a free Unilocal check in offer and still decided to charge me. It’s not the problem of paying a couple dollars but the deception of your check in deal…

Food was decent but service was horrible. Me and my boyfriend were the only customers there. They paid no attention to us. Asked for a sauce on the side and they had the nerve to say the food is already enough. Like really!!! Took five minutes to get their attention for a to go box and the damn check. But oh wait, we tip them $ 2 and the lady dares to hover around the table for us to leave. K never coming back here.

Amazing food and service! I really like the fact that the smoothies are made of real fresh fruit, the dumplings are fresh, and the veggies are so fresh! I love this place and wonder why the star rating is so low?!

Not just noodles here, despite the name of the restaurant! My co-worker and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat before heading back to the office. They give generous portions which is nice, but the food was just okay. We got the beef chow fun and shrimp fried rice. I felt like the rice was bland and tasteless and the chow fun was too salty. Luckily, they had chili sauce which kinda helped give it flavor. Nice spacious seating and a Unilocal check-in offer(cannot be combined with any other offers such as Groupon deal .as this is what happened to us). FYI: They have pretty good deals and options for their lunch menu, however, I do think their regular prices are a bit higher than average. I feel like this place has a lot of potential and is in a great location, but service and food can be much improved. I think there are many other noodle places or other places I’d rather go for viet/canto food. Plenty of parking spaces and indoor seating~(because if you follow my reviews this is a big deal to me!) :)

I’ve been here twice with the Livingsocial deal. The prices are a bit steeper than most Asian restaurants. The service is pretty good. I love the black peppered beef udon! It’s probably the best I’ve had. It’s a bit spicy with the cracked pepper and they give a generous amount of beef. The other dishes I’ve tried are okay but not superb. The Hainan Chicken was a bit dry but the rice was perfectly seasoned. The vermicelli dish with pork and eggroll was solid. I would probably stick to the chinese dishes in the future.

Food is pretty good. Price isn’t super cheap, but not too pricey either. The dishes came really fast, but you have to pay extra for rice by the bowl. The honey garlic pork was kind of under cooked tasting. And very fatty, I wouldn’t get it again. The house special chow fun and Singapore vermicelli were good though, I would totally recommend those. Especially the vermicelli, it was a curryish spicy flavor. Yummy. The Unilocal check in offer is one per entrée per table. One free drink per table… even if you order 3 entrees. That’s not the best offer, but better than nothing.

Even though I lived in this area for so long, I didn’t think about eating here until. today! The tips are right. They will tell you that the check in is valid for«one free drink per table,» rather than«one free drink per ENTREE.» I tried to convince her that it says otherwise, but the waitress told me that they will only abide by their rules. Oh well. The plus side is that the drinks are refillable and she even said my date can share! So I guess that justifies things. I ordered the seafood chow mein because CRUNCHYNOODLES! It was made quickly. It was good, but I couldn’t finish it. I forgot what my date ordered. Overall, the food is just ok. It tastes average like any other Chinese or Taiwanese(I know there is a difference) diner. However, I think you should come here for the drinks. It is well made and a steal if it’s refillable! The Thai ice tea and HK milk tea is WAAAAAY better than Boston’s in my opinion. At the end of the meal, a different waitress tried to charge us for my free drink. Make sure that your waitress ACTUALLYWRITESDOWN that you checked in. I had to prove my check in to her.

Always come here when I drop my sister off at her work. It’s so convenient. The reason I love this place is because of the variety. They have a strange combination of Chinese, Vietnamese cuisine. So you can not only get noodles, you can get rice as well! But I usually get beef noodles. Check out the picture for an idea of what I got! The prices are typical for any Asian restraunt here in Rowland so dishes can range between $ 6 – 11. It’s a really clean environment and the service is pretty good. They come to you whenever you need something and not too much that it becomes annoying. Just a typical restaurant!

Definitely overhyped. I was initially drawn in by the decently high ratings when this place first opened, but it looks like the ratings have declined, so I guess others now realize Simply Noodles isn’t all it’s cut out to be. Don’t get me wrong — the concept is cool, especially if you love noodles. They have a million different types of noodle dishes, mostly Vietnamese inspired(phở, vermicelli, etc.) and Cantonese inspired(chow mein, chow fun, etc). To me, the phở falls flat and is super bland — it literally tastes like nothing! The Cantonese dishes are way better, although they always leave me feeling a bit sick. I’ve tried their hainan chicken, fried fish with garlic, walnut shrimp, etc. and they’re all pretty authentic, but greasy enough to leave you feeling a bit nauseous. Speaking of ill, I’ve observed some questionable sanitary practices here on more than one occasion. For instance, one time I saw the owner eating a bowl of phở and his employee brought out a plate of garnishes for him to use. However, the owner wasn’t interested in adding the basil, bean sprouts, jalapenos, etc. to his phở, so he told the employee to take the garnishes back and recycle them. I then saw the employee throw all of the garnishes back in a giant wooden crate for later use. Talk about ew. If you ask me, Simply Noodles is… simply kinda disgusting.

The food wasn’t so bad but their customer service and professionalism is a little lacking. The first time I came here, I tried to order phở and the server told me everything but the Vietnamese food was available. So I got up to leave because I really wanted phở and only then he told me they will let me order it. Little odd, I thought. The veggie plate was missing basil and when I asked for it, he said they ran out. But magically, few minutes later he brought some to my table. It was a rather odd experience… But the phở was actually pretty good, to my surprise. I came once to try their Cantonese-ish food and it was just average. They do so many different kinds of Asian cuisine and I’m not sure what they’re best at, but I’d rather stick with the Vietnamese food next time.
