I think this place is just okay. I am even surprised that it’s got 3.5 stars. The take out food is cold when I bought them and ate immediately. I do like the variety of choices they have, because they aren’t typical things you cook at home. Its nice to have something different sometimes. Your take out comes with seaweed soup, which is nice. Some reviewers said this place is Taiwanese, but its not. It is a type of hole in the wall type of fast food place, but it lacks the tastiness of a hole in the wall place.

I have been eyeballing this place everytime I passed by it. They have this huge«taiwanese deli» sign outside of the restaurant and I really want to see what they have to offer for taiwanese food. Lies…it’s all lies… this place is not taiwanese at all! This is a szechuan style restaurant specialized in spicy Chinese food. I think when the current owner bought the restaurant, they just forgot the minor details of removing the only English words on the outside to lure people like me over. Since I was there already and hungry af, I settled for their combo options. I got 3 items with chicken, pork ribs and some veggie. The pork and chicken has exactly the same flavor. I am not saying they tasted bad, but I am pretty sure they were braised in the same pot. Their price was high and selection was low for the combos(2 items-$ 5.75, 3 items– $ 6.75), but the soup can be refilled for free so that’s a bonus. I probably wouldn’t go back for that again since Rowland has better options. Asides from their panda alike combos, they also have a full scaled menu, which was a surprise to me since the restaurant looked small with limited tables. However, the price again seems high. Each dish is averaged in between $ 10-$ 15. Their noodle dishes looked affordable though and many Unilocalers said their beef noodle soup was good. If I ever go back, it will be because of the beef noodle soup. One interesting thing, even though they have credit card stickers by their door, CASHONLY. No cash, no love.

for the price, it’s really good. Food is tasty, yummy, and lots of vegetable selections which is great for us that are trying to eat healthier. hole-in-the-wall, but it is comfort food for me :)

Great cheap eats. U can get the combination meal off the table or order off the menu. The spicy cold noodles on a hot day rock… and the hey wontons in chili oil are legit. On the table black pepper stewed pork chops and the braised chicken are great.

No longer Taiwanse. Food extremely pricey, with no pricing for the Sichuan specials. A box of cold deli 3-item combo, Sichuan cold noodles, and an order of stinky tofu rang up $ 23. Have no idea how that happened.

3.5 stars for this Taiwanese Deli. i’ve never seen a taiwanese establishment set up like a cheap Panda Express, Taiwanese joints are usually cafes, so this was a surprise they have cooked food in warmers that you can create combo plates with BUT instead we came to try their beef noodle soup(recommended by a friend) —spicy beef noodle soup: the beef was SOTENDER and they give you a good amount, but the soup was had WAYTOOMUCHCHILIOIL, i enjoy spice but not when it’s done this way. noodles were not overcooked one gripe: there’s no AC here just fans so on a hot summer day, i really shouldn’t have opted for this hot soup NOTE: CASHONLY

I really do love places that make me feel uneasy as I decide what to eat and clumsily order in english. 2ITEMCOMBO I just pointed at two things that looked appetizing to me and just nodded when the guy asked me if thats what I really wanted(at least I think thats what he said) SHREDDEDPORKPARTS Pork in thinly sliced form with scallions, sauce and chili… good stuff. Can’t go wrong with random pig pieces. PIG N BONES This was a bit tough to eat due to the cartilage and chewy bits but gawdamn if it wasnt tasty and fun to eat. I made a mess of myself. cash only muthafu*kas.

Realistically speaking, I live in Rowland heights — lack of great authentic Asian/Chinese food isn’t our biggest problem here for locals. But I’ve found a hidden gem and is thrill to share. I’ve dined at Taiwan Deli numerous times past two months and have to admit I have become quiet addicted.(I’m a very picky eater and is secretly paranoid when dining out) Taiwan Deli is located behind old Albertson– soon to be open as another Asian market. This place is small and def family owned. My very first impression — Gourmet Chinese fast food. I don’t even want to mention panda express but you get the idea. You can get a combo plate here with unbeatable price(Cash Only, no surprise there) They got many items you can choose from and its vegetarian friendly. Each items I’ve tried has not failed me– They also got a large menu from the kitchen. Few menus I’ve absolutely favorite are Kung pao shrimp/chicken, Beef cabbage soup, Spicy boiled fish(MUSTTRY) etc. List can go on. I also went in for their beef noodle soup two weekends in a row. Broth is epic, perfectly hits the spot and beef is tender and portion is very generous… I can honesty say I have part ways with Supreme dragon since trying their noodle soup. Its got traits most Asian restaurants do. Make sure to take cash and don’t get upset because your not getting perfect five star worthy service here. This place has changed my genetic thinking Chinese food are all greasy and has me coming back for more!

Not bad for Chinese spicy food. The lunch special I got was $ 4.99 which included 2 sides, rice and a bowl of soup. $ 5.99 gives you one additional side. The lady behind the counter isn’t the most friendly, but the food is good and cheap, which is why I’ll be returning. It’s in the same plaza as the foot massage and the shut-down Albertsons.
