The internet recommendations for the out-of-the-ordinary Chinese food here were spot on. The potato starch dishes was invigorating, and filling. The texture was somewhere between firm jello and soft, soft sweet potato, and soothing for a stress filled day. My friend/coworker kept telling me that they do not have dishes like this in SGV, and after tasting it I understood why. The bread rolls stuff with seaweed also made me feel like I was eating at a great mom/pop place somewhere on the other side of the Pacific. Definitely one of those dishes that«transports you» to another time and place there with it’s taste. If you go, look to the wall and bring someone who can read Mandarin to explain the more robust menu items. The paper menu is good, but you want the specials of the day that are only on that board. Why no five stars, Sonya? Because the service could be just a little bit better. It took a while to get another drink and our second round of food, even though it was my friend and I and another couple in the restaurant.

This is the most awful restaurant that I ever been to! Food taste bad, and quite expensive as well. Please do not go there.

I know… They should have changed their name in English. I love their food, but I don’t want to try their drinks at all as this is not a real tea shop. It’s a noodle house. It’s a Chinese cuisine. Some previous reviews were based on previous owner and their drinks, but my review here is based in their awesome food with reasonable price. Their pan fried pork bun is so good. They make it when you order, so it takes about 15 to 20 minutes. Their wine chicken is yummy! Service is good. Definitely come back often!

Shredded pork with coriander and bell pepper, two thumbs up! Satay beef with fried noodles, thumbs up. 50 Pork and cabbage dumplings to-go(frozen) for dinner $ 15, thumbs up! Suggestion to owner; add more«liao zi». Not your typical chinese food because it is northern chinese, I think. You didn’t come here for the Boba. Don’t take the un-friendly service personally.

This place is absolutely amazing. Everything I ate here was ridiculously delicious. I definitely recommend the sesame noodles. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant, and I’ve tried many. The egg noodles were perfectly tender and the sauce was very flavorful. We also ordered pan fried buns, a spicy tofu and fish dish, beef and cucumber wrap, pan fried scallion pancake, vegetarian pot stickers, and many more dishes… and we enjoyed every single one of them. Everything was flavored perfectly. A friend’s aunt lives very close by and frequents this place; she has tried nearly everything on the menu and hasn’t had one unpleasant experience. I didn’t try any milk tea or boba here, so can’t vouch for that. Despite being called«Boba Tea Hut,» you are going to find a large array of amazing Chinese food here. The place is under new ownership, and the new owners just didn’t change the name. Definitely go here for the food. It’s fresh, delicious, and well priced. You won’t regret it.

This place is under new ownership now for 3 months and it has been over a year since I last came. It used to be owned by Taiwanese and served Taiwanese style food and now I believe is own by mainland Chinese and they serve more authentic Northern Chinese noodles. It’s too bad that the new owner didn’t bother to change the restaurant’s name to reflect new ownership because I think their food is way better than before. Today I ordered their beef noodle and lamb noodle and both were very good and served with large portion and plenty of meat. The pan fried meat buns were also pretty good. Give this place a chance and give it a try!

Milk Tea Boba here SUCKS! If you know what’s good for you and what good boba and milk tea is, DON’T come here! It’s not even a real boba shop. It’s one of those Asian shops where they sell different plums, beef jerky, candy, seeds, etc. Boba is just their side thing that they do. They should really stop though. The lady who works there kept bragging about how they’ve been selling boba for over 10 years and that it’s the best around town. Given the location, I don’t effing think so. I’m a fan of the fruity beef jerky so I ended up staying to buy some… and a boba drink. There’s only one size, a large and it’s around 2 something bucks. Oh wow! Big deal! It’s only that cheap because the milk tea tastes like hot water! It’s not cheap, we’re just over-paying! The only flavor I tasted was from the boba but even they tasted like crap! The fruity beef jerky was HARD and not fresh, unlike the ones I get from other places.

At the front door you are greeted with a little table with 3diffrent teas to sample. The place is tiny but has allot of items all around the whole location, They must have read the negative reviews for the following: very friendly woman welcomed us when we walked in, after i browsed around, asked me if I came for some Boba, must of been obvious since I was having a hard time guessing what kind of dried fruit it was(everything was in a different language, really small English print on product). I had the Boba milk tea, very delicious, satisfied my Boba craving. I would definitely come back.

1st time here & don’t understand the negative reviews. Wanted a Boba milk tea for a short drive & found the staff to be very friendly and $ 2.50 for a large Boba milk tea was one of the cheaper ones that I’ve found in the area. The tea was good and while the boba was a little soft the taste was good.

Honestly, their boba just isn’t good. Milk tea is too watery, boba is too soft or too soggy. As for their other drinks, I don’t know how those are. I would recommend people about to pull in here(for boba) to try the Quickly by the Yoshinoya where Fullerton meets Colima. Only 98 cents for a regular size and the boba milk tea there is pretty stellar. For those wanting to go to a tea/drink place for lunch or something, I’d strongly recommend the Lollicup in the 99 Ranch Market plaza on Nogales. The food there is very good and the prices are easy on the wallet. If money isn’t an issue, Ten Ren’s or Tea Station would be ideal. Do not come to Boba Tea Hut.

This place had the best beef noodle and rice noodle!!! It was my weekend must have. I called just now and apparently ownership changed and the restaurant no longer serves food. It has turned into a Taiwanese snack shop. Boooooo. Where did the chefs go?

I passed by the Boba Tea Hut a few times before i decided to give it a try. There is no real secret to making bobas, the blends and mixes are a matter of following directions. What is perhaps the most important aspect of bubble tea is the service!!! First of all, it was empty, we asked about honeydew and they were out, we asked about watermelon and they were out, the ladies were so unhelpful, and never cracked a smile, come on! make an effort! Will not go back.

Not sure if I went to the same place… but it’s called Boba Tea Hut and on Colima near Azusa. Anyways, I was heading over to my friend’s place to grab a bag of Disney swag left by another friend… hrm…I had a huge bowl of phở and needed something sweet to counter attack the salty spicy in my stomach. I thought… BOBA! AND I was heading to ASIA(aka Hacienda Heights/Diamond Bar area). Good Gravy(*salivates at thought of eating some turkey now*) Well I was thinking, maybe I should try a new boba place which was not a Lollicup/Tea Station/Quicklys/Tapioca Express. This place said it all: BOBATEAHUT(my boyfriend thought I said«Boba the hut» which made him think of Jaba the hut…) So after pickup of the goodies, I headed to boba. There looked to be a small family in the place just lounging. I think they knew the owners or were the owner’s family. I figured I would try their tapioca milk tea. The cost: $ 2.50…what I thought it should’ve cost: -$ 2.50. They need to pay me to drink that stuff. The tea was promising. The boba FAILED. No taste… the drink was filled with ice, I finished it all in less than 5 min and had a bunch of lack luster tapioca balls. I was super sad. SUPERSAD. I again failed in getting good boba in SoCal. *shakes head in shame*

Ever since my Grandma passed away last month, we’ve been having lunch with my Uncle & Auntie after the Saturday morning chant services at Rose Hills. This means we have tried someplace different every week.(Yes, I know I haven’t written any reviews in a long while. I’ve been a little busy!) Today we ended up at Boba Tea Hut and frankly, the meal was totally forgettable. So I’ll write it about it while I some of the food is still making its way through my digestive system. There were 5 of us who ordered different dishes and a bunch of little side dishes to share… nothing was over the top delicious. Almost everything was edible, save for my fried fish rice meal… which looked literally like frozen fish sticks that had been thawed and placed on a plate of rice with some pickled and steamed vegetables + a hard boiled egg. I’m not very picky and will eat pretty much anything, but even I couldn’t get through my meal. Maybe I just ordered wrong. My Mom, Aunt, and Uncle all ordered different versions of noodles in soup; my brother ordered hot beef noodles. The consensus was«Meh.» This place is supposed to have really good rice noodle soup(mi-fen tang), but no one was impressed today. We ordered two kinds of stinky tofu and we weren’t wow-ed by that, either. Maybe our opinions of the meal was tainted by how literally miserable all the servers were. They looked like they were serving out some punishment by having to work there. Not a single one cracked a smile or acted remotely like there were happy to be there. Dang, such misery. I always say I’m willing to give a place more than one shot, but with so many choices in the area, it’ll be a long time before I bother to go back. PS — For people who like boba-type drinks, they do have a «Buy 9 drinks and get one free» punch card. That’s pretty cool.

Hands down, the best beef noodle anywhere in LA. Their xian-su-ji(fried chicken and other stuff) is authentic Taiwanese. I take my friends here if they wanted authentic Taiwanese food.

Decent bubble tea for a good price, but try the food and tell me how it is. The first time we went, the taro tea and green tea was really good. My friend’s taro tea was not that typically artificial purple too-sweet taste, and the green tea(they were out of almond) was deliciously accurate. They didn’t ask nor include tapioca pearls, which perhaps was our oversight. Sadly, the second visit a few days later was more mediocre. The taro slushy was typically purple, and tasted somewhat watery. My almond milk tea was just standardly good(especially for California fare) with decent tapioca pearls. Both were decently priced. Sadly, we were not able to try their food, which was looking pretty good at the neighboring table. It looks like they had substantial facilities for food, so I’d recommend trying that with your bubble tea if you have time. P. S. Boba Tea Hut has an A health rating(in their window) as of the writing of this review.
