Came for my bowling league post season dinner. We were treated with a 5 course meal including their awesome prime rib. Soup, pasta, salad and dessert were all included. Wait staff was friendly and made sure our drinks were always topped off. Definitely try the prime rib as its some of the best prime rib I’ve had since the Charlie Brown days in Carlstadt. Also the french dip is a one of a kind. Live bands fri and sat and its a hot spot when theres a big game.

The basics are consistently good. Try the roast beef, it is the best around. The Caesar salad with blackened chicken or blackened shrimp are always good as is the BBQ chicken sandwich. This place has not changed much in 15 years and that is a good thing and bad thing. Unfortunately the service is very poor. On my last visit our server spent more time sitting in the back room(in view of everyone in my section) or at the bar talking to people she knew. We had to ask for the basics like pickles and hot peppers and we could not find her to get a refill on our drinks. There were other servers just standing around as well…

WEHAVEANANNUAL men’s dinner from Lodi class of 70, past 4 years a t Biago’s it went downhill each year so we tried here, it was 100 times better than the overrated Biago’s and about 45% per person less expensive, 1 waiter adeptly served us quickly and correctly… last year I got 6 tiny bay sized scallops at Biago’s with gummy rissotto, poorly cooked asparagus, a very basic and stale salad and dry clams oregenato appy… got basically same thing here except 12 seas scallops perfectly cooked, mashed potatoes, and mixed seasonal fresh and nicely seasoned veg. double the food for $ 9 less and last yrs was not edible, 60% was discarded. from $ 80 per person to $ 45 for a much, much better dinner is a no-brainer. mixed drinks larger and well prepared, draft beers(so many) cold, frosty and large pint glasses… Biago’s will never see us again.

The Crows Nest is our go to place in Teterboro for lunch, dinner, drinks, whatever. Everything I have had has been solid, good food! I love the free pickled appetizers, Greek Salad with Shrimp or chicken are staples for me, but the Seafood Frav Diablo is badass!(Get the big one, take home leftovers if you need to!) Drinks are reasonable. Love this place!

Outstanding food from appetizers to sandwiches to entrees… I love the place! Sunday football is fantastic with an awesome bar menu. The bartenders are aces, hard to find in NJ(from a NY guy)! The service is outstanding and everyone goes above and beyond for you! The menu keeps getting better and better with the addition of new specials! Weekends rock with local bands and a nice crowd! Everyone should make it a regular part of their rotation, you can’t go wrong!

For classic décor and an extensive offering of food, come to the Crow’s Nest. The Nest has been around for as long as I can remember. It’s been a mainstay for my friends and family for catered events such as christening and repasses. Their back room is really large and comfortable. The bar area has low ceilings and more of the bar-type feel. Overall the place is very clean but lighting is very dark at night. Staff is friendly and concise, and very honest. The manager was extremely friendly and happy to help with an issue, which was resolved without any trouble. Overall a good experience. I had the Crows Nest BBQ bacon burger and it was very delicious. I just wish it had had more BBQ sauce! The fries were crispy and fresh, tender on the inside. The meal came with lettuce, tomato, and coleslaw on the side. The group I was with had other selections of the menu and it all looked delicious– the buffalo wings were hot and fresh, not over cooked or dried out, and my friends filet mignon sandwich looked amazing!

[Updated] The Story: After coming here regularly every Thursday night for Trivia. This place deserves nothing less than 5 stars. Food: Every week I worry about what to order because I’m the type of eater that cannot eat the same type of food all the time. This establishment made it easy for someone like me. If I wanted traditional bar food(wings, potato skins, burgers etc).they have it. Want Chicken Marsala and Linguine with clam sauce? They got it. Want a whole half roasted duck with your beer? They got that as well! The dish that stood out the most to me is definitely their Filet Mignon sandwich. Price: Prices are fair for the amount of food you get. Décor: Their crow is cute. In terms of decour kind of outdated among all these new ‘hip’ places. But it has its charm. They have a LARRRRRGGEEEE dining room. Service: Always on point. If not on point, they will fix it. Parking & Finding the Place: This place is located in Hackensack right off of Route 17. Its easy to find and get to if you’re coming from Paramus. A little tricky if you’re coming from the Ridgefield Park & Little ferry direction. They have ample amount of parking which is great.

Horrible service and food has changed, sad really! This place used to be great ! From the minute we arrived they were saving tables for drinkers instead of people wanting dinner

Stopped in while in North Jersey to grab a gift certificate for Christmas. I had never been here and when I walked in, I was really intrigued to have a drink and get some food. I’ve heard it talked up a bunch when I was in North Jersey, was just waiting for an opportunity to eat here. Christmas Eve we actually ended up ordering from here. I totally blew it with my order, as I got the Filet of Sole sandwich out of all the options on their menu(I won’t make this mistake again). The Filet of Sole was just ehh… not much fish on the sandwich, it was over priced for what it was. The taste was good, but the sandwich was small, plus everything that everyone else ordered looked much better. Where I really lucked out was someone ordered an extra Cobb Salad, which was HUGE and AWESOME! I would definitely recommend it. So this time we actually went in and ate there. When you enter there is a very nice bar to the right of the host/hostess stand. The woodwork and layout of the place is beautiful. Reminds me of a place in South Jersey that I used to go to a lot. Steakhouse with an upscale diner feel. Very Nice. Service was excellent. We had 5 in our party. 2 got the BLT with cheese. 1 had the filet sandwich was is apparently a house specialty along with the other who had the Roast Beef Sandwich, another house favorite. I will say I did not try them, but they both looked very good. As for me I had the Cream of Mushroom Soup, which was INCREDIBLE if you like Mushrooms. Most of the time this soup is thick and creamy, almost like a paste. The Crows Nest’s version is a little lighter cream based soup, which I REALLY enjoyed! The mushrooms were fresh, abundant, and flavorful. There were red, orange, and yellow pepper pieces in there as well, great touch! I will probably get bowl to go next time as well, it’s that good. After having the Cobb Salad a few days ago I decided to go with a Chicken Caesar. I got the Half and I will tell you it was big. The dressing was good, chicken grilled perfectly, nice and juicy not dry at all. Next time I think I will ask for some anchovies to be mixed in as well. Mmmmm! I’m glad the family likes this place and decided to take us there. Can’t wait to go again next time I’m in North Jersey. NOTE: The parking lot is not really easy to navigate as it is small and there are other businesses right near it, so just be careful and watch where you are going.

It was a real treat to see a menu selection of basic old favorites from the 1970s. The fish dishes we ordered were prepared perfectly and the portions were very well worth the price. I was very surprised to get a cocktail for $ 7.00!

For how often I’m here, I have to say I haven’t had bad service. The food is good and drinks are drinks. 2 problems I’ve had on numerous occasions. 1: some of the tap beers are so skunky. I’m guessing it’s that the taps aren’t cleaned often enough but whatever it is, it’s happened on multiple and most of my visits here. But only certain beers and usually coors light. 2: one of the friendly bartenders who’s great at mixing drinks, uses his hands to put ice into them. I haven’t seen him wash his hands once. And I’ve been here 30 minutes. He’s touched money, credit cards, cash register, menus and picks used glasses from the bar up by the rim, where people’s mouths have been. Then reaches into the ice bin with his bare hands and puts ice into glasses, not to mention the ice touched that stays in the bin. I’m not a germ-a-Phobe but still. That’s unnecessary. Overall I like this place, and I keep coming back. Probably because it’s the only place within walking distance of the Hilton.

We were here over Christmas for get together with friends– service and food were delish– I can’t say enough about how good it was. adn we have enjoyed it many times since– but as I fast forward to last Friday night 9⁄25 to celebrate a friends birthday– the experience in food choice not so good. We sat in dining area — back corner by the bar– our waitress was exceptional — LOVED her. attentive, funny and had great suggestions for dinner– feeling happy and hungry we ordered the dozen oysters & dozen clams on the ½ shell as a starter– uhhh the oysters were wonderful plump and tasty — the clams– not so much– all three of us got a small bout of tummy issue– and it was noticeable on hubby first — had cold sweat, upset stomach and 2 visits to the restroom before we left, it was a long drive home on the turnpike for him– me and my BFF it hit on the way home as well and into the net day — I think it hit hubby faster since he ate 5 clams and we each only ate 1– so not as bad but still– ya know when you have it. So totally not the fault of our wonderful waitress and we told her as well so no doubt she told mgmt. and they addressed it in the back. Now will this keep us from coming back — NOPE! not at all– You simply can’t let a little thing like that get to you– unless you are more medically sensitive then say we are– because the food here like I said is really great, drinks and service is wonderful and we all rebounded well –just the next time hubby says to me, «Babe taste this I think its not good” — I’ll just smile at him all lovey dovey and take his word for it LOL.

I was inspired to write this review after I heated up my leftover Soft Shell Crab sandwich and all of my coworkers started asking me where I got it because it smelled soo goood. I work in the city so it’s always a plus when I can say Jersey =) muahahaha — thought in my head, not out loud hahah I’m eating the sandwich as I write. So I think it’s a little unfair to give low star reviews based on the crowd. Should Crows Nest turn away old people?! I think not. Ok, having said that, you have to come here and try the fish! My mom and dad have been taking me out to eat practically every Monday after the gym, which offsets my whole workout and makes me have to go an extra day. Anyway, I can’t complain because I love food, hence my Elite status #yelplife My mom had just been here recently with some of her high school/college friends and raved about it. I’ve always wanted to go here because I’ve developed this Sons of Anarchy(SAMCRO) fantasy about it. Maybe the CRO to Crow’s Nest relation. Idk how my brain works. My mom tells me that they own a fish market so all of the seafood is amazing. She was right. Moms are always right. We had a dozen oysters @ $ 2 each. Amazing. I slurped those suckers down so fast. Then we had lobster bisque. One of the best I’ve ever had. My mom and I finished ours without even thinking to give my dad a try. The waitress was appalled at us haha. Whoopies. Then I had a soft-shell crab BLT(it was actually a BLAT though) that was pretty huge with sweet potato fries. It was a delight to eat it for the 2nd time as my lunchtime leftovers wooo woooo. My mom got the Red Snapper Scampi(so delish) and my dad got the blackened salmon(amazing). Because their entrees were so enjoyable, I think next time I’ll get some seafood that highlights more of the main ingredient than a sandwich with toppings. As for the décor, I honestly didn’t expect much to begin with because it’s a pub… The place is big. It’s not too bad. Booths. Mirrors. Swinging doors that lead to the bathroom. Maybe not a date spot or anything, but the seafood is bangin and the service was out of this world in my opinion. Prices were fair and portions were pretttty good. We had a coconut cream pie or something after. It was pretty yummy even though I’m a chocolate lover. P. S. My mom says they have the best martinis ever.

I came here last night for St. Patty’s day because I know someone who works here and they’ve been asking me to come in. I promise, I won’t let that bias my review ;) This place was surprisingly super busy but I guess everyone ventured in here after the Hackensack parade. Like other reviews stated, this place is definitely dated. I think it’s best described as an old diner mixed with dive bar. The hosts write your name on a piece of paper and then they scream into a microphone when your table is ready– no current pagers or computerized system. The restaurant itself was mainly filled with families and people of all ages, but the wrap around bar was packed with 40+ year olds who you can tell are locals. I was hoping for more of a bar crowd you can mingle and strike up random conversations with, but that wasn’t the place. It’s clear that people don’t come here for the ambiance. The main redeeming quality about this place is the food and the price. Because it was St. Patty’s day we unfortunately only had a few options because of their set menu. We ended up with chicken fingers and a cheeseburger with bacon to share. The chicken fingers were a large portion but kind of on the bland side, but the burger was large, juicy and perfectly cooked. They also have a decent selection of tap beers but no green ones! Come on, who doesn’t have green beer on St. Patty’s day?! Two beers and an entrée ran me about $ 25 with tip. Service wasn’t that great but I was told by a little birdy that we got one of the worst servers. She was attentive but just not very friendly and seemed very rushed the whole time. I’m not gonna hold that against them. Overall, if you’re looking for a good meal at a place you can wear your pajamas to, Crows Nest is your place!
