Here I was. 6:45pm coming off the train from work in Hackettstown wondering what to eat for dinner (my chef of a wife is away on business, so I eat out or starve). So I stop in and order a couple of fried rice quarts and soup to-​go. What a great dinner! Service was quick. I customized my rice dishes and I was in and out in 10 minutes. Food tasted fantastic (I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow) and it was under $ 20. You can’t beat that! This place is a keeper if you have an itch to Chinese food one evening.

I decided to come back to China Garden and give them another chance after Xianglan L., the owner asked me to delete my previous one star review.
The food has improved dramatically since the last time I went there a couple of years ago. I ordered the shrimp with Chinese vegetables, curry chicken with onions, shrimp toast, and hot & sour soup. Everything was terrific and on par with Hunan Wok. They even included two free egg rolls with the order since the total was over $ 30! Give this place another try if you’ve had a bad experience in the past. They really have gotten better!

Had a bad experience here but the ownership stepped up and shaped things around to be much better. Definitely the best for American Chinese food in the hackettstown area

Decided to try a new Chinese place and was pleasantly surprised by my takeout order. The Sesame Chicken was still crispy and the boneless spareribs were good. Portions were generous and the kitchen looked very clean. Will order from here again.

I was very happy with the service… my wife and daughter who I had purchased food for both stated their lack of satisfaction for almost identical reasons separately. I have to say the service was very kind, the place seemed very clean and they were very fast so maybe the food had a bad night. I will probably try one more time before I write them off.

This is our favorite Chinese food in this area. Always made fresh and hot.
