Great atmosphere, good pub grub, fun music — fun place to hang on a Friday night — cozy place.

Went to lunch yesterday at 1:30 pm. Nice rustic atmosphere, clean and very cozy. We ordered Reuben sandwiches and the beet salad .the salad came right away and was delicious. We waited 45 minutes for our sandwiches! 2 other customers got their lunches within 5 minutes. My husband had a beer and the waitress didn’t come over to our table for 35 minutes! Finally at 2:30 our lunch came, it was not worth the wait, the fries and onion rings were soaked in grease as was the sandwiches. They were horrible and very dry with hardly any sauerkraut. I will never go there again ! $ 50 for bad food and really rotten service is unexceptable,

Stopped at the Panther pub after bringing a deposit to my wedding venue with my fiancé and my best friend… we split the french onion soup, buffalo chicken stuffed pablano pepper and the big grilled cheese… everything was excellent! I had asked for extra buffalo sauce on the side and their sauce is awesome! I wish i could buy it to bring home for my own cooking! :) Definitely can’t wait to go back there the next time i’m in the area!

Really great food and great service. Had the hummus plate and the grilled avocado salad. My husband had the Parmesan garlic wings and the corned beef Reuben. Delicious!

I love the Panther Pub! My favorite thing there is the buffalo chicken stuffed pablano pepper… OMG! I would have never thought to put those things together and cook it up, but I’m glad somebody did because it’s soooo good! My husband raves about the cheeseburgers. I love the comfortable atmosphere inside and on the patio. We’ve been there a couple of times on our date night and also took our friends there when they came up to visit. Our friends also had a good time and enjoyed their dinners.

After reading so many good reviews, I thought we should give it a try. It was disappointing; ordinary pub grub. Heavy, greasy. Nothing at all extraordinary, seemed average to me.

It was very nice to dine in the outdoor area! Before the main course, my mom and I both ordered the soup of the day, which was a corn, bacon, and potato soup. It was very good and had sliced up jalapeños in it which gave it a nice subtle kick. My mom ordered a pork belly taco, which had very good flavor. It came with a house-made spicy sauce, which complimented the pork and fresh jalapeños. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese. It was less like a grilled cheese and more of a Reuben style sandwich except with brisket. It was good, but the tacos were definitely better. There was also only one waitress working, and she was doing all the waitressing/bar-tending/hostess duties. Due to this, the service was a bit on the slow side. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend it if you’re in the area and are looking for some pub food.

Habanero wings that will give a chile head a sweat, served with a bleu cheese that could teach a class on the correct way to taste. Strong beers, a warm interior, a great patio, and awesome live music(they land Emily Barnes from time to time!) If it’s cold, they’ve got a real wood fire… The fish tacos are excellent, too.

Living in Panther Valley, the Panther Pub is my go-to lunch/dinner/drink spot. I have pretty high standards when it comes to dining out; but I can confidently say that I’ve never had an issue with any meal or drink I’ve ever ordered — both when dining-in and ordering take-out. Their menu can satisfy any palate and they are willing and able to accommodate dietary restrictions. Their bar is always stocked with a GREAT selection of beer(I’m all about a good IPA), and their seasonal mixed drinks are always delicious and well balanced. The staff at Panther Pub is very polite, professional, and friendly. Simply stated, I love the fact that I have this place«in my back yard»! Great food, awesome drink selection, casual atmosphere — highly recommend for any day/night of the week!

Went here over the weekend for lunch, and we sat at the bar. My boyfriend thought it was an ok beer selection but there were only a few on tap(prefers tap to bottle). I believe they only had 6 on tap — I got a drink special, a peach sparkler which was good but very strong. The place itself has a cool vibe, loved walking through the«dungeon door» to enter and it reminded me of the England pub in Disney. We got the pretzel appetizer — delicious!!! I could have eaten 5 of them, delicious jalapeño cream sauce and spicy money mustard. I got the sausage and black olive flatbread which I enjoyed but wish the sausage was diced more, maybe some fresh basil on top would have been a nice contrast to the spicy sausage. My boyfriend got the corned beef Reuben and he said it was one of the best sandwiches he has ever had. All in all, a great place!

Come here if your thirsty, NOT hungry! Food was dry and burnt,(wings, ribs) even after a redo was served! To add insult to injury, after sending both the entrée and starters back, we were disgusted to find both on the bill!!! Avoid like the plague.

Love this place — nice cozy vibe & a fantastic bar menu with Mexican influences! Awesome beer selection & everyone who works there is so friendly. The cheese place is awesome & I’ve had the clam appetizer and taco’s which are great. Good burgers and wings, salads are a decent size and fresh. Great neighborhood spot — I will be back — that is for sure!

Great beer seleciton and perfectly done cocktails. I had a manhattan that put a smile on my face. We also enjoyed the very best calamari we’ve ever had. Light, crunchy, and not greasy at all. Delicious. I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and my spouse had the shrimp tacos that were tasty and delicious. The food was excellent all around. The service was friendly and welcoming. The only thing I can think of to give feedback would be presentation. The food was delicious but came out on plain plates and didn’t present itself as well as it could have considering the prices are a bit higher than most in the area. Don’t get me wrong. The prices are well worth it but the presentation wasn’t on par with the quality of the ingredients or the preparation.

My mother and I had been caught in a horrible snowstorm and exited the interstate to try and relax. We found this pub in an unfamiliar town and the people greeted us with smiles and the waitress was amazing. I ordered the onion rings(make sure to ask for the Sriracha aioli for dipping) and they were amazing. My mother ordered fish and chips also AMAZING. I think this place is ran by really kind hearted people. They offered us conversation and let us wait as long as we needed to get back on the road. It seems like a very popular place for the locals. But when I am in interstate 80 west I will be visiting again!

Picture it NYE2014. Three friends embark on an adventure to drink craft beer and whiskey in the sticks of NJ. No, seriously… This is almost to the Delaware Water Gap. So you can stop here after hiking, rafting or enjoying nature. The bar area is on the smaller side, but is really warm and inviting with the wood burning stove. I am normally cold when I am out in public, but sitting directly in front of a fire solves that problem. The bar area has a long bar and is nicely presented. There are cozy high tops and some low tables. Did I mention live music at night? There is a dining area in back, so if you have a large group that would be good for you. This location was selected for NYE due to its proximity of the Panther Valley golf course/community. Worst case scenario, we would have to walk a little over a mile home if cab service failed.(That’s a separate adventure). Anyways, we ate a variety of apps: pirogies, the soft pretzel, nachos and calamari. The clear winner was the pirogies. Flavorful, not too large or small and accompanied with a delicious buttery sauce. Whiskey sour had a good pour. Beer flights weren’t exactly flights… They were 10 oz glasses. Way to go!!! And much to my pleasure, SICKDAYIPA! Would definitely return. It was a great experience for the location. And cost for the three of us was $ 100 bucks for everything.

I’ve been here a few times now, and have not had one thing to complain about. The last time was this past Saturday. Arrived around 7:30. It was a little busy, about a 10 minute wait for 4 of us so we grabbed some drinks at the bar. I had something called Carton, not sure if that was the brand or what but it was good. Ended up having a few more that night. Seated, our server was Allison. She was really nice. We ended up getting 5 appetizers, one after the other, and she was really cool about it. We didn’t feel rushed or anything. Started with the nachos. They were tasty, but the toppings were sparse for the amount of chips. Then we had the buffalo chicken stuffed poblano pepper. That didn’t last long. Everyone really liked it. It was a bit creamy to me but the pepper was so good it wasn’t an issue. Next, the boneless habanero wings. These were very spicy and very good. Finished them right off. Lastly, we ordered some empenadas and pierogis. Only 4 pierogis to an order, which is a shame, because they were great. I think the empenadas were liked the least but that’s not to say they weren’t good. It’s just that we weren’t as blown away by them as the other items. For 5 apps and numerous drinks the tab was surprisingly low. We closed up and headed to the bar to catch up with some friends. We ended up being the last folks in the bar after a while, and the folks working weren’t rushing us at all. It was a really nice night, can’t wait to go back.

Was home for the night in Hackettstown, and was looking for more of a lounge atmosphere than a bar atmosphere, somewhere you could actually hear conversation rather than scream a word or two. Panther Pub was recommended. While this is far from a lounge-style bar, I was pretty impressed. It was quieter(for a Saturday night). This place has two sections to it — a bar area with some high-tops and a couple tables then the actual restaurant side. The restaurant was closed, but the bar was open with a limited menu. I tried a couple of their signature drinks, rather than a simple beer or mixed drink. Both were excellent. I had a drink with Tito’s Vodka, Ginger Beer, and lime juice — was excellent. I also tried their Manhattan — one of the best I’ve had. Price was up there. $ 9/each cocktail. 5 mozz. sticks were $ 8 and a hot pretzel with two dipping sauces was $ 6. Neither was more than just plain old«good.» Not good enough to charge that much! I’d recommend this place to those with a little extra money to spend, looking for a good spot for a drink or two for casual conversation. I’d go back.
