Great place to get a guy’s haircut. They’re on top of the latest style and the price is reasonable. Best of all Maria, Myra and the staff are great. Funny, nice, talented people.

Maria is awesome! I’ve been here a few times and she has done everything and more for my hair. She maintains my vibrant reds and makes sure the color is absolutely perfect! Not to mention the staff there is great and everyone seems to help everyone. A very welcoming and warm group of people. Definitely will be returning for all of my future hair necessities !

3.5 stars: I found this salon via Unilocal,and decided to give it a shot based on the reviews. Bare in mind, this was an impulsive decision. The receptionist accepted my appointment on the same day; I came in for a haircut… I am pretty picky about who cuts my hair (it’s been over a year since my last cut). I decided to go from a long hair style to a short hair style. I came in the salon wanting an asymmetrical bob cut. However, I decided to forego the idea of the asymmetrical bob cut half-​way through my session (I did not have the face frame for this particular cut plus it looked odd from the way it was cut). So I decided to go with my initial idea of an angled bob cut… I wasn’t totally in love with the results (nor did I hate it)…I guess I was hoping for better results… my hair looks like a typical bob cut (not very angled), and it lacks volume/​texture (which I usually request)…I ended up paying $ 50 for the cut and tipping $ 20. I felt I overpaid for the cut since I could’ve went to my old salon which only charges $ 40 (but they did not have any available appointment). The experience overall was okay but I don’t think I’ll returning back for another hair cut.

I’ve been going to Myra to get my hair done for about a year now. She’s fun & professional, the salon is relaxing and I’ve enjoyed everyone I have met in here.
Sometimes I just want a touch up and it’s done beautifully. Other times Myra wants to have fun and I absolutely trust her. I’m usually making appointments weeks in advance, but once in a blue moon I’ll see if they can squeeze me last minute, and they have!
Just recently I introduced my friend to this place and she as well has been getting compliments on her new cut and color.
Parking lot right near by and why not pick up a coffee, or visit one of the festivals that pop up :)

Upscale professional service in a warm and friendly atmosphere at reasonable prices? I’ve found my new salon! I couldn’t be happier with my cut and color. Maria listened to my needs and preferences and gave me the cut and color that’s perfect for me. I couldn’t be happier. Would recommend this spot to anyone.

My first time dying my hair and getting a professional cut could not have been any more perfect. The second I walked through the door, I was greeted and assisted by a stylist. I showed a picture of how I wanted my hair colored and immediately another stylist greeted me saying she could get the job done. My stylist, Sam, was absolutely wonderful and professional. She knew exactly how to go about doing my hair so I could get the color I wanted. While waiting to get my hair done the owner, Maria, greeted me as well as other stylists. Everyone was so friendly and lively. And more importantly, my hair ended up more beautiful than I could have imagined. I definitely recommend this salon if you want your hair to look amazing.

I’ve been itching to chop off my hair to donate my locks. As a relatively new resident to the area, I didn’t have a go-​to salon, so I was really nervous about making an appointment at a place completely new to me. After reading Unilocal reviews for Salon M Design, I decided to take the plunge.
Upon arrival, Maria headed my consultation. I showed her a picture of the style I wanted, and she proceeded with enthusiasm. The length was perfect, and the cut was exactly what I wanted, all within a very reasonable timeframe. She also shared with me some styling tips, so I can replicate what she did. In addition, the ladies of the salon were very pleasant to chat with, and the salon itself is adorable. I can’t wait to see what else is in store during my next visit.

Loyal Salon M client for over 5 years. Maria and the rest of the girls are awesome. It’s clear to me that Maria really cares that I’m happy with the my cut/​color/​whatever, each time. Reyna’s scalp massages are amazing. Katie has assisted Maria the last three times I’ve been in the salon. She’s great and such a sweetie. Excellent salon in great location!

I was so bummed when I had to move out of the area, if only for the reason that Maria wouldn’t be cutting my hair anymore! I had only been to Salon M twice, and asked for Maria after reading all of her great reviews. It was definitely the right decision (although the other hair dressers seemed to be fantastic as well). She was extremely friendly and what I loved most about her is that she teaches you how to style your hair as she’s doing it. I’m almost completely clueless when it comes to that kind of thing, and I never knew what to do with my haircuts besides flat iron them. Not only did Maria give me a great cut, but when I asked her if she could show me some different ways to style it, she went to town! You can tell that she loves what she does because she was having a great time showing me different tips and how to create different looks. I finally feel like I know what I’m doing! By far the best hair dresser I’ve ever had!

Since my usual place decided to jack up their prices, I decided to venture out and hunt for another salon. Thanks to other Unilocalers for the reviews of this place. I decided to wing it and was able to get a same day appt with Marissa. Awesome job on the cut, exactly what I needed done. I wanted to go darker for a color but ended up lighter… looks great… I suppose I’ll do a deeper color for fall season. Looking forwarded to fall appt,

Love love LOVE Salon M. I’d received a cut and highlight at another salon nearby and my experience? Well… it was not that great. Maybe I’m spoiled by California salons?
So what did I do? Logged onto Unilocal to find another salon in the area. I stumbled upon Salon M’s Unilocal page, called for an appointment, and hoped for the absolute best.
Marisa … I’m in love with you.
She cut my hair just the way I wanted and highlighted it the way I like it. She listened to me ramble and got it right the very first time. My cut was unreal. The color was shimmering and beautiful. Almost 2 months later, it looks like I just got my hair done. I can’t even count how many compliments I’ve received.
The salon itself is adorable. It’s very homey and comfortable. I felt like I was in Steel Magnolias!
The prices were VERY reasonable. I’ll definitely be back.

I purposely didn’t immediately write this review after my first visit because a lot of hairdressers do great the first or second time, but then sometimes become complacent with your hair after a few visits.
This is not the case with Salon M. Maria, the owner, is upbeat, personable and phenomenal. She knows her stuff. You show her a picture of what you want, she tells you exactly what she will do to get it that way and is HONEST. No hairdresser is a miracle worker. No one can go from midnight black hair to bleach blonde in one visit (at least not in a healthy matter!), so she will be straight up with you and tell you what is the best way to achieve it. No high hopes and broken dreams here. Just the truth and I am seriously thankful for that.
I consistently walk away from there feeling amazing and beautiful. She’ll give you ideas of fun things to do with your hair, different hairstyles, and the best part is she doesn’t ‘push’ products on you. She may give you a suggestion, but won’t cram it down your throats like a lot of salons. The salon is quaint, homey and beautifully simple.
There is a reason the phone is constantly ringing there — they keep their customers satisfied and happy. I will admit, it’s hard to book an appointment, but they are just that good. And book fairly well in advance if you want Marie. I know the other hairdressers there are amazing (my friends tell me and their hair shows it), so try them as well. But as you know, when you find a good hairdresser, you’ll keep them as long as possible and do whatever it takes to do so!

I had a wonderful experience my first time at Salon M! To me it was the perfect blend of talent, affordability, and personality.
Gabby, my stylist, was adorable and fun to talk to, but most importantly she gave me a great cut and color. Truly impressive for a junior stylist. She also hooked me up with some Pureology samples that my hair loved. Sweet owner Maria gave me the perfect side swept bangs, keeping in mind the way my hair falls naturally.
There were many personal touches that make this salon a cut above the rest. They even sent me an adorable ‘thank you’ card that meant a lot to me. So happy to have found my new home salon!

At last I have found my home away from home. Salon M has proven to be a much better option than Hair Butchery or Sucker Cuts (names have been changed to protect the identities), for when I need a trim and can’t make it in to the city for my regular cut. Its a cute little place in an old Victorian house, with a more modern flare inside. I was very intimidated when I got there because I was afraid it’d be one of those über snooty places, but all the girls were pretty nice, and my stylist Janyra was super welcoming. She listened to me blab about my hair’s life story and actually understood it. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and for a reasonable price to boot. I left there a happy, unshaggy girl :)

I’ve only been here twice. The first time I had a good cut, and the second was even better!
Very reasonably priced, and definitely worth stepping up from your usual Hair Cuttery roulettes.
Great location, very warm and relaxed atmosphere, and great conversation (coming from someone who is a painfully shy introvert in most instances) complement a great haircut.

maria used to cut my hair at studio 561, i’ve been going to her for cuts for almost 10 years. she is so talented and she gets it right every single time. she did my hair for my wedding too, and it was phenomenal.
i live in brooklyn but i’ve decided that haddonfield is the only place to go for haircuts. yes, i make a trip home for this place. it’s that good.
studio M is located in a totally cute old house where kresson road and ellis street form a V. you can’t miss it when you’re coming from cherry hill.
the décor inside & out is awesome, it’s a totally relaxed yet spunky environment. the facilities are, of course, clean & professional in addition to looking awesome.
their prices are totally reasonable and they have a great selection of products & items for sale.
i’ve also, more recently, gotten a great cut from jeaneta (i hope i’m spelling her name right!).
