I can’t recommend Phở D’Lite. My experience was mixed. I ordered Phở D’Lite, Pad Thai, and Penang Curry for my family. The Phở D’Lite soup was good, though soft tendon or tripe are equally questionable ingredients for someone not used to them. The Penang with shrimp was delicious, but the bok choi was rotten. The Pad Thai smelled awful and no one ate it.

Now on our 2nd trip in a row with poor servers. Also the 2nd trip that we a) asked for water with lime and got no lime, asked again, still no lime and b) an incorrect order was delivered. There is just no excuse. Once again, almost completely empty restaurant. Probably won’t be back, which is a shame because the food is actually very good. Just can’t deal with the awful service.

Every negative thing Unilocalers mentioned we experienced during our visit. Two of us arrived at 8 pm for dinner. The restaurant was empty. We sat ourselves. There were two waitresses and we were ignored by both while they stood around doing nothing. The menu is very limited. The waitress never came to take our order and we needed to call her over. Twenty minutes later they finally brought out our appetizer. It was not what we ordered. When the fried egg rolls came out they were burnt and extremely greasy. Next to arrive was my companion’s main dish. They did not bring his phở. The waitress said it was coming… Who could eat both at the same time? The phở broth was«dirty» and lacked flavor. It was also lukewarm. Another person entered for dinner and we overheard the waitress tell him she did not like the food here. When we asked what the sauce was in the unmarked container the waitress said, «It’s brown sauce.» We all agreed on the color, but wanted to know what it was. Again she replied it’s brown sauce. I don’t know what it is so that’s what I call it. There’s no excuse for this. Where is the owner and why isn’t he paying any attention to this restaurant.

Came here on a Wednesday night after snowboarding. Totally hit the spot. The phở was delicious(I’m viet so my phở standards are p high). The waitresses constantly gave us waters when we ran out. Very good service.

WARNINGTOPEOPLEWITHFOODALLERGIES! The kitchen has no concern for your request. Three times I have been served food with fish, chicken and animal broth. I’ve been more than patient and understanding. The last time I ate there it went right through me. I don’t post this review lightly.

Phở is great! And despite what I read on some reviews, the Phở here is great, the fresh herbs, peppers and lime plentiful. I came in run down and fighting a nasty ear ache and sinuses. I leave full and feeling more like me. Who needs chicken soup? I got phở!

I gave this place a second chance. It was even worse! The two waitresses ignored all the tables while they looked for the key card for their registers for about ten minutes. Numerous tables were left dirty with no customers. We waited at least 15 minutes to order. No one even offered us drinks. After we finally placed our order, we noticed another table was complaining to the waitress about their food. She didn’t seem concerned. Ten minutes later our waitress came back to retake our order because she forgot what we ordered in the first place. At that point we said forget it and walked out. No apology. The waitress just stared at us and shrugged her shoulders. Even more distressing is rather than working to improve their service, it is obvious that this business is trying to stack Unilocal with phony reviews.

Positives-phở tastes great Negatives-the rolls were only lettuce, vermicelli noodles and shrimp. Typically, when eating them you will see mint, cilantro, and basil in the rolls giving them an entirely different flavor profile. Just lettuce is cheap and flavorless. The Vietnamese meatball appetizer was overcooked in oil that wasn’t hot enough leaving them soggy with grease and burnt on the outside, while mushy on the inside. The staff doesn’t like the food either. That tells you something. I see this owner has opened 5 or so of these restaurants in the area. It would be great if he got the food right before opening even a second one. Sorry, but I will keep driving to Frederick, Rockville, Germantown and Gaithersburg for my phở. Also sprouts which came out with the phở were old. They were grey/brown not fresh.

Thrilled to have good phở so close to home. Hagerstown is finally becoming relevant by acquiring a few independent ethnic restaurants. Phở D’lite is unpretentious. The soups are soul satisfying. We usually get our Phở to go, but this evening dine-in customers received a 50% discount as well as $ 1 Thai iced teas. My husband and I had a fantastic meal and drinks for $ 12. I hope these promotions draw a crowd, and I hope Phở D’lite is here to stay!

Glad to have phở so close. Had lunch today and the broth was not as tasty as it usually is but I’ll let it pass. Also didn’t have enough tripe or tendon in my soup. Needs to be better balanced with the flank when you order the Phở D’Lite. Wish that they did not have carpet in the restaurant. Service is very good.

I was really looking forward to this phở shop opening but am disappointed in the quality of the broth! It tastes more chemical than others. I understand that this is a chain but that doesn’t mean that they can’t spend the time and create a more flavorful dish. I would recommend one of the vermicelli bowls(although it was a bit heavy on the lettuce) over the phở. The service was attentive and the décor is attractive enough.

Excellent PHO, went there with my son and really enjoyed the food. He had the curry chicken and I had the PHO. The phở was spectacular, great tasting broth and plenty of condiments, my son loved his Thai curry. Lots of flavor, great and friendly atmosphere and excellent waiting staff. The owner came and greeted us, I though that was really nice. The restaurant is very clean as well and the bathrooms. We liked it so much that we went two days in a row. I am very glad we stopped by and will continue to visit. You can’t beat the price and this month ½ price off for PHO.

It was good. I think they need something more to make them stand out. Not bad… not great. How can you mess up Phở? The summer rolls was just a rice paper with some lettuce and a couple of shrimp. They need something more to make this place come alive!

The grand opening should have spot on service and good quality, and this restaurant did not have everything. The server was friendly and attentive, but the food was not great. Pricey phở. Like other reviews, the broth was dark and did not have enough flavor. I got the roll and it was stale and old because the skin was hard. They should be soft and clear. They gave us another one but when the first one was that hard, you shouldn’t have served it in the first place. The phở did not come with the standard plate of vegetables. The service was good but this was not an authentic phở experience.

Found a rare beast here… Veggie Phở! Vegetarian broth, steamed veggies, fried tofu, & rice noodles all good. Friendly staff too.

Wanted to test out this new restaurant. Overall service was good but food was below par. Vermicelli grilled pork was dry and unseasoned. Fish sauce that went with it was only a few tablespoons and not nearly enough to flavor the dish. Additional fish sauce was going to be for an extra charge. Pad Thai seasoned more like fried rice than authentic Pad Thai. Phở broth was overly salty and much darker/dirty in color than phở should be. Perhaps I’m a little more critical but expected at least average. Hopefully, critiques can help improve food quality.

Praise the food gods. Finally a Vietnamese restaurant in Hagerstown. While a chain the choices are varied. I look forward to trying the rice bowls. But for my first time it had to be Phở. The beef was sliced thin and was cooked in the hot broth that was tasty and rich. The summer rolls were fresh as were the bean sprouts and basil. The iced coffee came already mixed but was a nice balance of bitter coffee and sweetened condensed milk. I feel that for a new restaurant the wait staff(which evidently handles both tables and take out and maitre de duties) worked well together. All around it was a pleasant meal.

Food was great and staff was very nice and attentive. They have redone the inside since the last restaurant, so it is very clean and nice inside. We tried the phở shrimp and the d’lite, both were very good. We also tried meatballs that were on the appetizers menu which very good also. Portions are large so if your going for lunch you may even want to share.
