Had several people tell me about this place so I gave it a try. We went on a Saturday night, it was a holiday weekend, just had the buffet at 12.95 to offer. I was a little worried as other Indian buffets are pretty bland on the spices but the food was very good The food was wonderful, fresh and they would even change the offerings on the buffet. First impressions had me nervous as I was greeted wth«someone will be with you» rather than a welcome, but staff was very attentive to our needs. Raj did stop by the table and we were pleased to tell him this was our first try but we will be back!

I love Indian food. I first tried it as an american exchange student in England in 1979. My Indian buddies introduced me to it. The food in the school cafeteria was virtually inedible. We went for«a curry» at least 4 times a week. Pretty much like we went for pizza at home. Since then I have travelled the world trying to replicate the tastes and smells of the places I frequented in England. FInding the perfect curry has become something of a life long quest. I’ve had wonderful and not so wonderful curries in india, Hong Kong, Dubai, New York, San Francisco, and many less notable cities, but who would have thought I would have what I think might have been the best curry I’ve ever eaten in Hagerstown, MD. Driving through the area last night around dinnertime, I did a Unilocal search for Asian restuarants and decided to give the Mango Grille a try. Oh my! The skill with which my chicken Khaddai was prepared was nothing short of remarkable. So many herbs and spices combined in perfect balance to create an amazingly exotic and delicious dish. Served with perfectly done fragrant jasmine rice, onion kulcha(bread) and a cool cucumber raita. I will be talking about this meal for years!

Do not be fooled: there were neither mangoes nor grills. But as we were passing through on our roadtrip, we decided to give it a shot. Came in towards the end of the lunch buffet and was welcomed in by a very kind and personable waitstaff. Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had. Would recommend

Have been here only two times, but I really enjoyed it. The flavors and textures of the various dishes on the buffet blend together to create an out of this world meal. Service is super – kind waiters and staff. The buffet is kept fresh. The salad is absolutely delicious – I didn’t know a simple cucumber salad could be so good. Definitely will be returning.

We love this spot, the lunch buffet is very affordable with options for vegetarians and meat eaters. The yogurt mango smoothie is excellent and can really take the experience to the next level. Chef Raj is almost always around and checks on the dining room often giving it that personal touch of an owner who cares. Dinner service is very enjoyable with large portions and even gluten free options. Great apps and Thai food in addition to the best Indian food in town. No on premise alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own wine or beer in to enjoy with your dinner. We go a couple times a month and have never had a bad experience.

I have only been to two Indian restaurants in Hagarstown and this one is the better of the them… by far! Typical Indian buffet… hot and fresh food with naan served to your table. prices are reasonable and service is good.

This was my first time here. It’s set up nicely, clean, and well lit. Very friendly service as well! The waitress was knowledgeable and helpful. I started with one of my favorites, Mulligatawny soup. This was the richest, creamiest I’ve ever had. Very flavorful, and not too spicy. Then, chicken tikka masala, with garlic naan, and masala chai to drink. It was all excellent. My experience lived up to what I’ve heard from others. This is the best Indian food in town.

Once again a five star meal! So fresh and tantalizing. Raj always serves up a surprise. Today I called ahead and requested a spicy dal and no lie it was the best dal jive had yet and I’ve been eating it for over 15 years. Always looking forward to eating here. A smörgåsbord for the senses.

It’s like we died and went to heaven… but not in a good way. My wife and I were excited to try this place out because of friend’s suggestions and Unilocal. We got there, got the very last table. We were ready to experience this great food we were hearing about. What happened instead was something out of a horror story. We’re pretty understanding diners, and I’m really lenient with waitstaff. They can only do so much. It was extremely busy, so we were prepared to have a long dinner and were having a good conversation. What we weren’t prepared for was being completely ignored. It is easily the eeriest experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We weren’t tucked in some corner to be easily missed. It’s not a huge place. We were in the middle of the restaurant passed by every server and apparently the owner over and over again. We saw other people come in, get their silverware and menu, and get drinks. They wouldn’t even look in our direction. Again the tables were filled, and a group of 3 were waiting at the door. «If they get seated at our table,» I told my wife, «I’m pretty sure we died on the way over here». At that point, I lost my patience, and made sure to get the attention of the next person that walked by. I’m pretty sure it was the owner. I asked for a menu, he acted like it was a chore but gave us menus – and then we were ignored for another five minutes. We got up, walked out, and went a couple doors down to Fuji for a lovely bit of sushi. They were equally busy, service was a bit slow, but it was fine and the food was great as usual. I left an extra tip for the waitress and sushi chef just for confirming that my wife and I were still alive.

The food was amazing. The service was great. Lots of choices and you can choose your spice level. I would definitely eat here again if I lived closer. If I’m ever in the area again I will. Got some naan bread, mango chicken and chicken pasada. They give you all you can eat rice to go with your dish. The rice was spiced very nicely.

I met up with a friend for lunch on a Friday. It was very busy. I was seated immediately to one of the last tables, even though my party wasn’t complete. The host stated I would be waiting if he didn’t seat me immediately. I appreciated that! Food: They deliver naan bread to the table. It was delicious! The food was buffet style with a mixture of everything. It has been about 10 years that I’ve ate Indian food, but it was really good. However, I was a little disappointed that rice pudding was the only«dessert» option. Not a big deal, but the American fatty in me likes options. LOL Atmosphere: I loved that the music was eastern. It brought a lot of atmosphere to the resturaunt. The dining area was set up a little odd. I didn’t like that the buffet was next to the entrance. The walls had some eastern décor but mostly just a mustard yellow. Price: The buffet cost was $ 10.55 for lunch. That is kind of pricey for lunch but given that it costs more to make Indian/Thai food because of the spices I felt that it was fair as it was a buffet. Service: The staff was attentive to everyone, clearing plates and filling water. They were very kind but kind of rushed us out after we were done to move along business. Suggestion for company: Add some more Eastern décor to allow guests to observe more of the culture. Rearrange the dining room, moving the buffet away from the entrance. Add another dessert option to the buffet. Yes, I will return!

This is possibly the best Indian food I’ve ever had anywhere. I ate here with my family while visiting over the holidays and it was so good that I had to go back a second time for the lunch buffet before leaving. The service was also incredible. My mom is a very picky eater and they were extremely nice about helping her find something she would like on the menu. She ended up really enjoying her meal(Mango Chicken), which was a first for Indian food for her. Everything I tried was amazing, but my favorites were the Eggplant Bhartha, Badshahi Pista Chicken Pasanda, Tandoori Lamb Chops, and Vegetable Pakora. The flavors were perfectly balanced, the meat was perfectly cooked, and you can tell they use fresh spices in everything.

On our way to Roanoke VA and found this restaurant on my trusted Unilocal which never steers us wrong. Absolutely Yumlicious. The atmosphere is a little local but the food more than makes up for it. We would definitely eat there again if we found ourselves in Hagerstown. Indian food fans should stop in. One more thing… SIRI led us to a apartment complex a few blocks down. It’s in the Shula’s plaza.

Overview: Absolutely awesome Indian place offering many options not usually seen at other Indian restaurants. Highly recommend! Food: This place was truly awesome. The day we went, there was a line out the door for the Sunday buffet and I certainly know why. The buffet seemed small but actually has lots of options. There were samosas that were to die for, flaky pastry, lots of filling, and beautifully seasoned. Pakoras that were lovely little crispy bite sized treats. They offer basmatic and tomato rice. The curries were truly awesome as well. And, very rare on a buffet, were actually spicy! Not burn your mouth off or anything, but they definitely had a nice kick. When you sit, they ask you if you want regular or garlic naan and then bring it to your table fresh. Great touch! Mango Grill also puts out curries that go beyond just butter chicken. They had an egg curry and a mango curry that I’d never seen or tasted before. The egg curry was pretty great, definitely a must try. The mango curry had paneer and while it wasn’t bad, I’m not personally a fan of sweet curries. My favorite was the saag curry, which was insanely flavorful, thick, and delicious! Quick shoutout to the salad of all things, which has a fantastic dressing that I loved! For dessert, there’s gulab jamun – my absolute favorite! Recommend: I would definitely recommend going for the lunch buffet. You get to try so many things, it’s wonderful!!! I think I tried every single curry offered, haha! Atmosphere: This place definitely needs to be bigger! It’s so amazing, I can see why we had the long wait. Definitely worth the wait though! Service: The owner himself was about and extremely nice. He made sure we were well cared for! Our glasses were never empty(which is good with the spicy food!). He seemed to genuinely care about the food and customers.

WOW! My husband and I are so unbelievably impressed with this restaurant. We thought we had tasted good Indian food before, but nothing compared to this! We started by sharing a bowl of mulligatawny soup and papdi chaat. Both had amazing flavor! I didn’t know what to expect from the chaat, but I loved it! I could have eaten a double portion with some naan as a meal. For our entrees: My husband loves spice — he had the lamb vindaloo(spicy). The lamb was done to perfection and the flavor/spices were MINDBLOWING! I had the tandoori mixed grill. The meat was tender and savory. The rice was flavored ever so lightly with cloves and cardamom. And the garlic naan was light and flaky! Mmmm The ambiance was lovely. Camille, our server, was pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu! There was authentic Indian music playing and the chef, Raj, personally greeted everyone to check on their meals! We don’t live in Hagerstown, but will definitely stop back here when we travel through again.

OMG! It is a pity that I live three hours away! This is the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten. I had the lamb vindaloo, spicy. That will warm you up nicely! We will be stopping again when we come back through this part of the state.

After reading good reviews of this place we decided to go for dinner. The restaurant was empty when we went. The servers working during that particular shifts were not very good with the menu itself thou they were very friendly. The server got us our food but couldn’t remember what she got while serving. We ordered Pista chicken pasanda, chicken biryani, garlic naan. Pista chicken pasanda — Was okay. Nothing special about it to try the entrée again. It comes with complimentary rice. Chicken biryani — was good but too oily. Again it was not the best. The raita was very fresh and very tasty. Garlic naan — it was way to crunchy. Overall the food was OK. The service was good. The owner Raj stopped by to talk to us — he is a very friendly.

Mango Grill is so good for lunch!!! Stopped in here for their lunch buffet. Super pleased. Delicious Indian cuisine and so many dishes to try! They give you the choice of garlic or regular naan… yes please!!! The only complaint I have is that my stomach won’t hold as much food as I like to eat! Will definitely be back!
