We got the chef special Thai spicy roll, spider roll, shrimp tempura roll and 2 orders of hibachi with shrimp and scallops. All good, pricy for the hibachi… But the rolls were terrific and worth the price. Servers were very polite and friendly, very clean… would definitely go again for the rolls!

Still a great deal for the quality of the Sunday sushi buffet & location. We were really disappointed to see that they now add an 18% gratuity to your check for the buffet. We always tip & don’t like when it’s forced.

My favorite place in Hagerstown for sushi. Great lunch special — very good price for the amount of food you get. The spicy crab and shrimp Gyoza are delicious!

The only reason I come to Sakura is for the sushi, because it is so fresh and wonderfully crafted. Everytime I have ordered takeout, they never miss a beat which is nice as well. I have been coming here for years. I personally enjoy their hibachi but know many that do not prefer it. My favorite roll is the spring Jamie roll. The seafood salad is amazing as well. I think I have eaten here so much that now I’m sushi-ed out but it’s still a great favorite around the area.

The miso soup: Perfect size serving very good flavor. The salad: Dressing just right consistency and right amount. Salad good size and relatively fresh. American ingredients though. Would like to see maybe some traditional ingredients. The house vegetable roll was decent although could have suffered more filling and again domestic ingredients. Tomato? It was good nonetheless. The sweet potato tempura roll was undercooked though good flavor. The sunshine roll for me was the best. Cucumber and avocado with a sliver of lemon. Bright, fresh and satisfying. Overall the meal was good though my complaint as a vegetarian is that we never receive any extras from the chefs such as seaweed salad, edamame, etc. also the rolls are much smaller than House of Kobe. I’m giving three stars because the flavors whet good despite the lack of imaginative ingredients and small portions.

The best aspect is their Sunday buffet. For $ 14.50 you get the hibachi, soup, shrimp and vegi tempura, sushi, and cheesecake. The only drawbacks of it are that it opens at noon and if you get there at 12:05 up until around 1:30 there can be a long wait to get thru the hibachi line and sometimes they are slow to refill the sushi bar. If you like to order off the menu, their mermaid roll is pricy $ 16 but it is amazing! We have enjoyed all of the rolls we have tried. The staff is friendly and they are always prompt to fill our drinks. It would have been a five star, but the prices are a tad high.
