I’m a very easy person but when comes to coffee I really like good quality coffee, coffee in Hawaii is very pricey so you want to buy something is worth your money, I’m don’t like this coffee I was expecting a little more from this company.

As usual, I’m tough on chain restaurants and establishments. Consider it a rebellion against corporate America of sorts. It may be due in part to the fact the larger a chain gets, the more quality suffers. That’s just a thing I have. Regardless, I recently patronized this coffee shop on what may have very well been their busiest day this year. There were people literally lined up, in droves at 5:15 am for coffee and other assorted breakfast items. Needless to say, despite the throngs of humanity attempting to satisfy their fix for the nectar of the gods, the staff remained plesant and managed to keep everyones unique drinks in order and flowing quickly. I purchased a bagel with cream cheese which was comparable with other chain coffee shop bagels. I returned about noon, albeit for a toatlly different reason and the staff which remained had not broken stride and although I didn’t buy, I was very much tempted to. I, was on a mission. lol.

Great service and all of the baristas are friendly. Kylie is really sweet and always knows what you want. All of the food is delicious as well. I always stop in when I’m at Foodland! I will especially miss Kylie when she goes off to college in the fall!

So. my boyfriend and I recently moved to Hau’ula from Makakilo. The nearest Coffee bean is in Sunset. So we drove 25 mins just to get a Toffee nut latte. The girl didn’t even know what the mo joe post was for! If I had known the service was going to be horrible, we would have went to 711 instead. The workers were rude and unprofessional! We have never had a problem with the Makakilo location. We love the workers there and the drinks are always on point. Plus, the other customers in the north shore side(mostly tourists) just look at us local people like we don’t belong! Needless to say, we will NEVER go to the Coffee Bean at the Sunset location ever again. So much for the Toffee Nut, but thank you coffee bean, for the offer. By the way, their white chocolate mocha tastes like a regular mocha. The next time we go to the Westside of the island, we’ll be sure to stop at the Makakilo location. Only gave one star because I can’t give them a zero.

I gave this coffee bean and tea leaf a rating solely based on the fact they have different drinks than what I’m used to back home. I came for a quick run in for coffee but left w a pineapple cream. Noticed they also had mochi here too. Kind of nice to see some local flare mixed in to the menu.

For some reason this location is different to me in many ways compared to other locations. The customer service is ok, but not as great as the many other locations I’ve been to. Their caramel frappes are very watery. Every other location always makes their iced lattes and frappes just how I like them. But for some reason this location has gotten it wrong every single time. Every time I’m by the North Shore I make sure to stop by, so I’m still hoping it’ll get better.

When you want exceptionally creamy chai tea lattes, this is the place. Consistently yum.

The best ice blended mocha ever! I like cold coffee and no other place makes ice blended taste this good. The pure chocolate ice blended tastes like the best hot chocolate drink you’ve ever had cold. I can’t get enough of these drinks. The teas are great too. Customer service is always on point!

This place has a monopoly. Being the only chain coffee store on the North Shore, this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is usually busy the whole day. It’s located in the Foodland grocery store, with a small inside counter and some seating outdoors. Really more just a take-away hole-in-the-wall. Service was quick and friendly. But seriously, North Shore, get some more coffee shops open up here.

Outrageously priced, even for North Shore. My boyfriend gave his name but she called the wrong one. It also took her forever to understand my order. The drink was not made well either. Avoid this place and get something from Foodland instead!

Best coffee shop on the North Shore. Period. Attached to a grocery store so it can get pretty busy, have patience when see 30 people in the store your drink will take a little while. Don’t walk off and try to shop, someone WILL take your drink. Not Coffee Bean’s fault.

Coffee Bean and Tea has excellent caffeine-laden drinks all over the world, but differences at this location are: the friendly staff and the excellent assortment of delicious locally-baked goods. I have never been happy with the baked selections at any Coffee Bean and Tea before, but my problem at this location is choosing which baked items to choose. Please understand that I am NOT interested in sugary snack treats, but more into healthy selections with different and creative recipes. HATSOFF to the bakery chef and to the franchise management for the vision and the guts to recognize that they can differentiate themselves based on such wise choices. Thanks also for expanding the hours since when the location used to be a Starbucks! Bottom line: we don’t miss that other major coffee chain — what’s its name??? Pardon me, I added the photo to the wrong restaurant — the acai bowl belongs to Breakers in Haleiwa!

Really nice staff and great breakfast selection! I get hot tea, and I know that water costs nothing… but I usually just get a medium because that’s all I feel like drinking anyways. But I always appreciate when a barista asks if I want a large since it costs the same(not technically, but it should). They do that here :) It’s really the only coffee shop north of Hale’iwa.

The Bean continues its reputation as the worst of the chain coffee spots. This North Shore location is no exception. It’s like they take Folgers and roast it some more to create that burned effect with no richness. And at Island prices. $ 5 for a cappuccino. Unfortunately, there aren’t many options on the North Shore. If you can, go to Coffee Gallery in Haleiwa, or try a roach coach brew. Anything is better than the Coffee Bean.

I love the Bean. They still make the espresso by hand. Forget about Starbucks. The staff is cool, the ultimate blended will keep you up for days. Latte and cappuccino are very nice!

I was really happy to see CBTL in Haleiwa since the only time I get to have CBTL is in Southern California. But it’s just as good in Haleiwa and I love the baristas! So happy no matter what time of day we come in here. Also, they serve almond milk — bonus! My drink of the week: iced hazelnut latte with vanilla almond milk. Yum!

Coffee bean in north shore? Whaaaaaaaaaat??? Everywhere I go I have to get coffee bean. LOVE: i can enjoy my favorite coffee place at my favorite location on the island: north shore. Same great taste. Awesome customer service. Always a bonus. SUPER fast. I think it came out the SAME minute I ordered it! NOTSOMUCH: It’s in Foodland. I’m not a fan of it being in grocery stores, but some people think it’s convenient. Actually it was pretty convenient. But still. I would like a peaceful atmosphere. And the hustle and bust of grocery customers doesn’t cut it. The ambience and everything… ehhh. no. Way to close to Foodland. Also too small. I think inside only has the counters and bar stools. Not a lot of room outside either. Four stars because I AM A FAN! Even with the bad some people still may see it as good. For me it was an easy in and out. And at this location the ambiance wouldn’t have mattered anyways. I would bring my lovely dark chocolate blend to the beautiful beach!

5.29.13. Located in the Sunset Beach Foodland, it’s not a bad place to stop if you need that caffeine boost. Especially since in our smart phone search, this appeared to be the only one nearby on this side of the island… While I really want to love this place – Starbucks needs a little competition right?? – for some reason no matter what I order I never seem to be satisfied. I ordered a large Iced Tea Lemonade since it was really hot this weekend(~$ 4). Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad… but honestly I think the CB&TF taste is not for me. Aside from that, staff was friendly and pretty efficient. I do like that there is a coffee place out here that I now know of and as this is the case, if I’m out here again and am craving coffee I will probabaly stop by here again. But would I in town? Probably not; I’ll stick to Starbucks. Unilocal 365 Challenge: #148/365
