Looking at the other reviews, I expected there to be way more stuff than there actually was. The shop is quite small, itself; there was a decent amount of soaps, but not much else(just a few lotions, bath fizzies, etc). I was disappointed to discover that most of their products have no scent to them despite their labels’ claim, and what products that do have scents mostly have similar smells to each other.

This place is awesome! The soap selection is pretty huge! Who knew you could make soap out of so many different things! My husband got the lavender bar and it smelled sooooo good. Nice soothing way to end a long day at work. Must go and check them out!

This shop in Haleiwa is great! Very quaint and cozy, the woman who works there was very informative. My mother was looking for frangipani scented oil and she asked the woman behind the counter if she had any. We were then informed that frangipani is the same as plumeria and they have alot of plumeria scented soaps and sparys. We were so elated to have found exactly what we were looking for. We will be back on our next trip to oahu.

Parking issues, and it’s not the lack of parking. Sunday we went to the North Shore to do some shopping and like many other people you find any spot and walk to wherever you want. When we found 8 open spots along the street and parked in the one in front of this poorly managed shop, we were quickly approached by someone who forgot her morning smoke session. She hung out the door of the business and said do you plan on coming into this store or are you going to eat around here. So like most people feeling awkward about her approach we went into her store. Upon leaving she asked again if we were going to eat or shop around there or if we were leaving. We left to help her get over her 3 parking spots that she said she has in front of her store. Which let me say that they were not busy and had many open spots at 11 o’clock on a Sunday. I will not recommend this soap factory to anyone due to this lady being rude to potential customers. Waialua Soap Factory is right down the street with 5 star service which I was just at the day prior and the lady gave my kid some free soap to do a stamp on! Aloha!

Yes, yes and yes. I am this guy. I know, I know. I never wanted to wax my brows either, but I am that guy indeed. This couple is doing things right for sure. We ventured in on a very nice afternoon just to beat the heat and the moment we entered the doors, the aroma in the air was intoxicating. This place is for real. I can’t use crappy soap because I get an allergic reaction. I’ve been buying these awesome oatmeal soap bars from Berkeley Bowl and sure enough, I was on the last one. The owner and I were discussing this and he showed us his ingredients, explaining why each ingredient is used for each bar of soap. Very informational and to be perfectly honest, it was a lot of data to retain and considering this was our honeymoon, I’ve forgotten all of it! It was good stuff though. We walked away with some awesome soap, some candles and this really awesome coconut shell that’s carved into a turtle. Fantastic shop for anyone interested in the crunchy granola lifestyle.

Mark’s shop is simply incredible. There is real thought being put into all of his soaps. Looking forward to trying some of his natural remedies. The jewelry and other trinkets are all locally made and are both stunning and reasonable. Will be back and will be ordering refills before we get back to Oahu. Cheers to another great local establishment in Hawaii!

I can’t say a thing about this place that hasn’t already been said, but I will say this. I bought a few bars of soap in here and one was specially formulated for aches and pains. I tried it in the shower and rubbed it on my knee where I had a bruise from doing yoga and the next day the bruise was 88% gone. I think that soap is magic!

Great place for trinkets and all things that smell nice. I came in looking for lemongrass scented soaps and Lori was very helpful in showing me a couple of soaps and votives with lemongrass in it. The shop has such a soothing and refreshing aroma. I would definitely return with my friends.

Kind of a cute shop but there is a very bizarre, rude woman working there. We hightailed it just as she started spiraling into a meltdown. ???

This place is so much more than a soap store. Super cute and eclectic little shop, located smack dab in the middle of Haleiwa Town. I found quite a few little treasures, some made in Hawaii and others that were just vintage collectibles. Great place to pick up a gift or two for family and friends back home.

Seriously the greatest shop. When visiting Haleiwa I came down with a wicked case of eczema. I went to the soap cellar and bought their power bar soap and their sun salve and am cured. The products are amazing and so therapeutic. The owner is beyond helpful and I am telling you that you must go here!

I love the Soap Cellar! This shop is so charming. It’s full of all kinds of soaps, salts, salves, spritzers and lip balms that are handcrafted in Haleiwa with highest quality, essential oils and ingredients. While on vacation in Oahu, we stopped by and picked up lots of amazing soaps to bring home as gifts for family and friends. They loved them! In addition, this shop also carries a huge assortment of souvenirs made by local artists. There really is something for everyone here so be sure to stop by and check them out!

Really cool shop with a bazaar of north shore artesanal items, most notably soap. I picked up some great soap that I use for shaving. it has cocoa butter and all kinds of other stuff. Think it was 8 bucks and will likely last a year plus… not to mention, it’s the smoothest shave and no in-grown hairs. shop keeper was really helpful and will help you find a great gift or something for your home… all while making the next batch of soap.

A quaint little mom-and-pop kind of shop. The owners make all their soap and scented products in their store. The soaps are very cute and smell wonderful. I am actually quite a fan of their lip balm. My favorite is the coconut which, unfortunately, they have been out of. They make a different batch each time so right now, it’s Mango. Every time I go, they are always very friendly. The prices are actually very fair. The store itself doesn’t have an overwhelming scent smell as you probably would expect for a soap store! This store definitely fits right into the laid-back atmosphere of Hale’iwa.

I am a huge fan of soaps, especially when they are made with natural ingredients. I stopped in here yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the selection. I love lavender, and there was lots to choose from. I picked up a lavender soap bar and some lavender spritzer. The owner was very nice and offered to make me up a batch of spritzer if I didn’t find the one I liked. If you’re not a fan of lavender(like I am), don’t worry… there’s a huge selection of other scents that are sure to tickle every fancy. There are also candles, little trinkets, and jewelry too. I love supporting local small businesses and it’s a bonus that the products are all natural.

Stopped in here while my friend and I were pretending to be on vacation. It’s obviously a soap shop, but they sell other kinds of cool trinkets like bracelets and lotions. I probably could have spent more time looking at everything, and smelling everything. My friend and I got the same soap– is friendship soap a thing? ha. I think it’s supposed to soothe aches, but I loved it for the cinnamon and patchouli combo– i love those two smells! I’ve been using it this past week– and it really leaves your skin soft, and smells good all day. If you had any soap concerns– the owner seemed ready and willing to talk about anything and make suggestions!

Whenever I’m in Haleiwa I make sure to stop by the Haleiwa Soap Cellar. Give me a store with plenty of knickknacks and I’m a happy camper. Here are a few of the gems I picked up this time around: Yummy-York Bar(soap): I’m a sucker for soap that smells so good you want to eat it! This hand crafted peppermint soap bar smells delightful. Patchouli, Amber, Lavender(soap): This soap is eye-candy. It’s clear with colorful chucks of of Patchouli, Amber and Lavender inside. They also have a coconut soap that has bits of twirled material within. Every soap is like a small piece of art. Macadamia Butter(lotion): This makes for a great little gift! They also have a Mango Butter that is really good for your skin. Vintage Hawaiian Postcards: These postcards are made of wood. It’s postwood! What a novelty item. Every time I send one to the mainland it’s a hit. There is also a small section of cards in the corner of the store by local artists. They are nifty! They even have an entire tub full of soaps that are duck shaped. Bottom line, there is something for everyone.

Lori and Mark are soooo-cool, nice and pleasant to talk with and very helpful in finding the things you are interested in purchasing. I purchased many different types of soap they make in the shop and also the Surfer Salve … it really save my skin while I was out surfing for 17 days in December and then another 12 day in March. All your soaps, salve and everything else get them at The Soap Cellar … It’s the Place! Tell Lori and Mark … Jes from NC sent you … LOL … Peace!
