Went in on a Saturday, at about 7pm not very busy only about 3 tables seated. It was for fathers day for my husband, so me my daughter and him. It was our first time ! Menu was rather small but we found some choices that fit our likes ! And with a small menu i expected to be blown away with great food ! We ordered my self & husband opted for the Prime Rib, potato & veggies ! My daughter Scallops w/bacon over fettichini and sauce ! We had a dinner salad to start. Salad was ok, not much to mess up ! Our meals came and well they presented good, they did not tastes to good prime rib was cold and tough, took alot of effort to chew ! Considering the place was not packed & a small menu we expected quite a different taste, snd we were not blown away. Not sure we will go back although the service and people were all very nice ! Food not so much !

Went there for the first time Wednesday. I ordered the«cowboy» bone in ribeye, my wife the bacon wrapped scallops. When the server brought our meals, he noted that my steak did not have the bone, but the chef gave me a larger cut. Turns out that was no favor. Worst steak ever! After trying to cut it from every angle, and chewing nothing but gristle, the server asked if everything was OK, I pointed to the pile of gristle and a mostly uneaten steak. He returned to the kitchen, then offered to take $ 10 off. Last time we’ll go there!

This is a cute little place the fish fry didn’t totally impressed me but I would go back to try other things because it’s adorable in there and I love the atmosphere at the bar. I will be going back for date night soon!

I stopped in here for a date with my partner. We loved the location and atmosphere and while we waited for our table we stopped by the bar, where the bartender made us very welcome and kept the drinks mixed strong. That is why it was such an abrupt change to be taken to our table and served by the most awkward waiter I have ever had the experience to meet. He wouldn’t make eye contact with us the entire meal, spoke in short sentences and seemed to get very agitated when we made it clear we wouldn’t be ordering any drinks with our meal. The fish fry I got was excellently prepared and the fish was very fresh and clean and would recommend it to anyone. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is their Brandy Alexander — it didn’t seem too well blended, and was actually crunchy. Assuming you get more personable waitstaff I would easily rate this four stars and recommend it for a night out!

Celebrated a wedding here for a small group last week! Everyone raved about the food! It was delicious! The parmesan bread is very tasty and the salad included with our meals was excellent. Very fresh with a variety of veggies on top! The décor is very pretty and they have a larger room downstairs for parties. My husband had the ribs, which he enjoyed, but the coleslaw was just so-so. I hope this restaurant thrives. A nice place for dinner or a special occasion!

My 4th stop for the 2016 Lent Fish Fry tour was going to be the Hale House in Hales Corners but when we arrived the hostess told us it was going to be a 2 hour wait for 5 people. So said thanks but no thanks. We were in quite the the dilemma but good thing we live in Wisconsin where the Friday Fish Fry is plentiful. In the area was Clifford’s, Matty’s Bar & Grille and a catholic church but we decide on Sandra on the Park. Just down the road from the Hale House and we didn’t have to wait long — 30 minutes tops. Large private parking lot. The restaurant has 2 serving levels — an upstairs and a downstairs. Each had its own bar. We waited in the downstairs bar area. Service at the bar was okay. Bartender didn’t seem to be use to a large Friday crowd. My group of five was seated downstairs too. The ambiance of the restaurant was okay but there is nothing extraordinary about it. Everything is clean and had tables for 2, 4, 6, or 8. The Fish Fry options were 1. Bread Perch Dinner for $ 16.95. 2. Beer Battered Icelandic Cod for $ 10.95 for 2 pieces, $ 12.95 for 3 pieces. 3. Baked Icelandic Cod for $ 11.95 for 2 pieces, $ 13.95 for 3 pieces. Each comes with your choice of homemade potato pancakes with applesauce or Parmesan Romano Fries, cole slaw, and Parmesan Grilled Vienna Bread. You also have the option to add a cup of soup — choices of french onion and clam chowder for $ 2.95, a bowl of soup for $ 3.95, or a house salad for $ 3.75. Our table had all three options represented for dinner. I had the Beer Battered Cod — 3 piece with the potato pancakes. My wife had the baked cod. The beer battered cod had a nice thinly coded seasoned battered that didn’t take away from the taste of the cod. Overall a good fish fry. The potato pancake was highlight of the plate. Not too large or thick. Crispy on the outside and moist/flaky on the inside. Cole slaw nice and creamy but could have used a little bit more seasoning. It really would have been a better value for 3 pieces for $ 10.95 instead of $ 12.95.

We had planned a surprise party for my mom at Sandra ‘s and everything was perfect. This my first visit and definitely not my last. The décor was beautiful. The staff was very accommodating and the dinner was outstanding. I have already told five other friends about it and plan on referring more.

I went to Sandra’s last Friday night with a group, of friends and everything was outstanding. Several of us had the Fish Fry and the breading was perfect and the fish was moist and flaky. The ribs were some of the best ribs in Milwaukee and the appetizers were excellent. Our waitress was polite and the bar and food service was fast as they were very busy. I can’t wait to go back.

I was curious to try this place since it was in the Journal Sentinel, but I felt like it was a complete waste of money! We called ahead to find out the wait b/c it was a Friday, I was told on the phone it would be 10 – 15 minutes. We got there, and there’s no place to stand to wait, we went to the bar and the bartender completely ignored us after we tried to get his attention multiple times. After standing there for 5 minutes and getting no service, we gave up and went back to the door area to wait for our table. The table took 25 minutes to get seated, and the worst part was, there were multiple empty tables available upstairs! The girl apologized and finally sat us, but then we had to wait even longer at the table just to get a drink! We got waters right away from the hostess, but the waiter didn’t even bother taking our drink order right away. When he finally took our drink order, my boyfriend got his drink first, and they didn’t have mine done for some reason, so I waited longer. It was to the point, I was timing them to see how long it would take to get my drink from the bar; which was over 3 minutes! I was at the point I was ready to leave b/c it wasn’t worth eating there, if the service was that bad already! When my drink came; which was one of their speciality cocktails, I had to laugh that I paid $ 7 for their«special» drink in a small tumbler that was mainly ice! When the waiter asked if I wanted another, I had to hold back from laughing b/c that was a waste of money! We both got the fish fry, b/c it had great reviews on Unilocal, and the journal sentinel, but I’m not sure if they were having an off night or what b/c there was so much breading, that had no flavor, that had to put a bunch of lemon juice on it, or dunk it tartar sauce just to get flavour! I ended up pealing off the breading so I could enjoy the fish that was overcooked. I could tell they had done something to it, b/c the fish was really dry and had no moisture to it! The coleslaw was good, the potato pancakes were ok, the fries and their rye bread have so much salt on that you will be chugging water! We did order the wonton wrapped mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, and it was like they took the sticks wrapped them in wontons, fried for 2 minutes to brown the wrappers and that was it, not worth $ 8! When the waiter asked if we wanted dessert, all I could say was check please, and we wanted to just get out of there. The décor is nice, but that’s about it. I felt like we wasted over $ 50 on a crappy date night! I’d rather go to cheesecake factory and get better service and food then this place! If this place is going to stay in business, they need to fix their drinks so people get what they pay for instead of paying $ 7 for a tumbler of ice, and realize who their clientele is in that area. I’d rather go across the street to Cliffords, ya the décor isn’t that great, but their all you can fish fry is delicious, the service is good, and you get a good old fashion for $ 5!

Came back to sandras with friend on friday and the ribs were amazing! Loved the sauce! I was alittle nervous about eating them in public but they were so tender that they fell off the bone. Homemade fries were delicious as well as the coleslaw. My friend had the parmesan crusted cod and let me try a bite. Best fish dish I’ve ever had. The fish was so fresh and the lemon garlic sauce compliments it so well I had to steal a few more bites! This is definitely our new favorite place!

Great Outdoor Patio! Flowers on table, quiet, ambiance plentiful! Service was very attentive. I agree with one reviewer the beer selection could be better, however, the Martini’s made the mark. Couple of us ordered Coconut Shrimp… appetizer had 4, I decided to make a meal of that and ordered a salad. Pizza was ordered and was good! If you like Goat Cheese, there is an appetizer of them as breaded and fried, served with an Orange Marmalade. Will go back and order those again! Delicious! Will definitely go back!

Just had a really nice meal at Sandra’s. If you are in this area I would recommend. I had the parmasian crusted cod, super delisious. It had a garlic cream sauce which was great, but the fish itself was so yummy not sure it needed it. Came with garlic mashed potatoes that were creamy and smooth. I live in NY but come back to WI frequently. I am always supicious of seafood since I am spoiled and get it so fresh. I can positively say my fish was super fresh, along with everything else we had. Their house paramasian poppy salad dressing is also super good. Wish the weather would have been nice to enjoy the outdoor space, but maybe next time! Also got excellent service and that is always appreciated.

We were impressed with the outside eating area(really is a park like setting), quality of the food, and the service. My husband had the famous ribs which were very good. I had the Parmesan Crusted Cod with the Lemon Crème sauce and it was delicious! We started each with a cup of their Cream of Squash with Chicken soup — SOGOOD! Though we weren’t in the mood for drinks, they had an ample drink menu that was very appealing. We felt the prices were fair and are definitely going back(Beer Battered Cod on Fridays)! Don’t miss this restaurant — you’ll be in for a treat!

i was at sandra’s on the park and sent in a review and for some reason they think i like the so called potato pancake. well it was not a poatao pancake it was a cheap so called one. all it was;was a genaric hash brown shaped likje a pancake. it was horrible. mc donalds has better hash browns. and them to charge me $ 2.00 for it so bad on your part as a business owner. and as of charging any one $ 3.00 for a 25 cent lemonaide you should be ashamed of yourself. i would never go there again and have to alot of my friends about this place. i will also post on face book and any other site to let them know that you like to cheat people. so people beware!!! hope you have a great day

Myself, fiancé, mom, and two year old son were excited to check this place out. We went for dinner at about 5pm on a Friday. It wasn’t very busy. We had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. I thought it was odd that the patio wasn’t open, since it’s nearly July. It would’ve been nice to eat outside, but no big deal. The whole menu was very… elderly. We ordered chicken wings as an appetizer. They weren’t bad, but weren’t good. We all ordered fish fries. Also not terrible, but it was far from good. The fish was soggy. It tasted like it had been pre-cooked and microwaved to reheat it. The potato pancakes literally tasted like bagged hash browns in pancake form. The coleslaw was actually good, though. All around it wasn’t awful but we definitely won’t be back.

We tried the Friday fish fry and it was not good. There was not one well seasoned thing on the plate. The pancakes were wet and slimy tasteless and inedible. The cod was tasteless and tasted like they were not freshly made. Even the coleslaw and tarter sauce were tasteless. I have never had a meal where nothing had flavor. The restaurant was pretty and the servers were nice but we will not return.

I was so excited to check this place out as it was under new ownership. Atmosphere is nice. Service was good. Food and beer… They are a bit behind the times. Can you imagine??? In a world of micro brews… They don’t have one!!! I was glad to see a simple menu. But again… The menu; super outdated. I had chicken. It was good but nothing to write home about. Here is a good one… For two people dining they gave us ONE breadstick. The rib dinner does not come with a side salad. That’s just odd, isn’t it? I think it they want to attract anyone under 50 they need to get current or this will become a upgraded Clifford’s Supper Club. Plus, they took out that wonderful garden in the back. Boooooooooo!!! I might try it again to see if they updated anything. Sorry to say… Kind of a disappointment.

Well, it’s easy to get to from Forest Home Ave and there is a large private lot and patio out back. I liked the décor inside, it’s a refreshing shade of green. The waitress and hostess were nice and attentive to our refill needs. The food though, I wasn’t too happy with it. I ordered pasta with a pesto sauce and it was so bland that I had to add salt for flavor. The sauce didn’t have much of a pesto taste either which was disappointing. What I did like was how the pasta was cooked, and the veggies that were tossed in weren’t over cooked either. The menu is limited, and the pricing is higher than I had expected. For those prices, and with the small selection available, the chef should have been able to impart any amount of flavor to my dish. My husband ordered ribs and he liked the way they were prepared. The sauce, to me, tasted like a familiar store brand though. I don’t know. I may try it again someday, but not anytime soon. The menu definitely needs to be expanded in my opinion. And flavor. Kick it up just a notch!

Warm, cozy neighborhood restaurant with great service. Best potato pancakes ever. Ribs were done perfectly, didn’t even need a knife and the sauce was delicious. Fish fry was better than the Bosch’s. Whatever problems the previous reviewer had with the service have obviously been corrected. We found the waitstaff to be highly professional and attentive. We’ll be back!
