The Hilltop Grocery is again open for business, with new owners. Great for dropping in for homemade Mexican food, water, soda, ice cream, etc. Great service and friendly people. Clean bathroom!

THISSTOREISNOLONGERINBUSINESS. Nice little simple grocery with sandwiches, ice, bait and tackle… They also serve excellent BBQ to go… I ordered the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and it was excellent… Fast, friendly service and finally… great BBQ in HMB… I’ll be going back soon to try their ribs with all the sides which they serve on Friday and Saturday’s from 4−6pm…

«Here are some napkins, make your mama proud» said the lady at the counter. Tasty sandwhich, great customer service.

Very simple little shop. They have a deli with hot tasty sandwiches. The bathroom is very light, bright and clean. If u are traveling on 92 and need quick bite, you should stop in and check it out.

This is a wonderful«Mom and Pop» shop(run by a dad and his son). Stop here on your way out of town(Half Moon Bay) for a beverage, snack, or sandwich. The owner is super friendly and you will feel like you are back in the 50’s when customer service meant something. If you are a fisherman(or a teacher looking for worms for your class), there are all kinds of fishing supplies and bait. Worth the stop and you are supporting the small business owner.

A lot of people are turned off by a combo bait shop and deli, but let me tell you, the hot pastrami sandwich at the Hilltop is the best in town. It’s not cheap at around $ 8, but it’s totally worth it.
