Had dinner tonight here and was blown away. We had two house glasses of wine, small caesar salad, small penne vodka and the small chicken with eggplant and prosciutto. The caesar dressing was extremely flavorful. The small pasta and chicken was the perfect portion for two people. Friendly service. Food came out quickly and hot.
I wish I lived here so I could eat here all the time.

Great food at Matteo’s, the buratta is so creamy it melts in your mouth, the veal was also delicious. Dishes are large enough to share as family style. Prices are great and so is the service. Too bad they are open for lunch only during season!!!

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE A FOOD ALLERGY.
A member of our party is severely anaphylactic to seafood. We asked to speak with the general manager and he threw his hands up in the air and said «no guarantee» that my mom wouldn’t get sick from cross-​contamination. He is the most unprofessional restaurant manager we have ever encountered. When we decided we were too concerned to eat there, he said «whatever» and tried to blame his insane behavior on the waiter.
Legally, she should be able to eat anywhere, with a chef that could prepare a meal in a clean pan. Not this place. They made my mother feel terrible and ruined our Mother’s Day dinner.
We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Broward County Department of Health.
Hope you are ashamed, and change your management style. Much better options in the area than this place in a strip mall next to an Office Max… get over yourself, Matteo’s.

This was our first time visiting this beautiful restaurant. We were seated immediately by the maitre’d, Ivan and greeted by our server Ricky.
The atmosphere, décor, as well as the attire of the staff and the lovely Italian music playing, made us feel like we were in a truly fine Italian restaurant.
Ricky quickly brought out some fresh warm bread and we ordered some bruschetta and pasta Frutti DiMare loaded with fresh and delicious seafood and the ultimate chicken, smothered in melted cheese. We shared both dishes which were excellent and full of flavor!
The serving sizes were huge so we have plenty left over to bring home with us so we can enjoy this delicious food later. For dessert, we ordered the napoleon which was enormous very crispy puffed flaky pastry with a delicious creamy filling it was so big we were able to take half of it home.

What a pleasant dining experience !!! Beautiful setting, appropriate background music, excellent broad menu and great great service. Our server Cesar was very pleasant and helped us understand the menu selections, especially in alerting us that they are family size portions so we don’t over order. I wish there was ZERO Stars to give! The quality of food here very bland and just not up to par for the price you pay. You are better off eating at Piola in the same plaza or Il Mercato, across the road by Publix. I have given this place plenty of chances and its just not good anymore.
The managers are super nice, that I have to give to them.

No! Used to be a great restaurant. Now, a table mill. Gone are the old-​world, wonderful waiters and ambiance. It’s a Jersey Italian joint full of employees who are neither from Jersey nor Italian who were clearly looking at the clock and unwilling to provide attentive detail. Will NEVER return. Food not as good as it used to be.

Matteo’s doesn’t even deserve one star. I’ve eaten at Matteo’s for many years starting on Long Island. Tonight was a disaster, I keep on trying one more time, give it another chance. But I’ve experienced everything from seeing a rodent running across the dining room to a filthy bathroom. Tonight was the icing on the cake. I will never step foot in that place again. The veal francese was so salty it had to be sent back. One piece of veal was so small you needed a magnifying glass to see it. I ordered Shrimp Wendy, first the waiter said he forgot to put it in and then 2 times after that he said it would be right out. After almost an hour and a half I told the waiter to forget it. The service was horrible. This was by far the worst dining experience ever. I will never go back, nor will the other 3 people I was with. My advice, Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen is South Florida, find another one!!!

Matteo’s is a great place for several reasons. First, they serve tasty Italian food. The portions are large enough to share and the selection is fantastic. I have yet to find a dish that is disappointing and I am very picky about my Italian food. Second, the place has great service. These are not models pretending to be waiters, but seasoned professionals who know how to treat customers right. Third, Matteo’s is great for large parties, and it is fantastic for family gatherings.

When you want some easy and decent Italian food. This is the place to go. I love their stuffed artichoke!
They always put tons of cheese on the meals that come with cheese and they get pretty packed.

The only good thing about Matteo’s is that it is close to my home. On the last 2 occasions, the food was just terrible. Raw chicken one time and over cooked food the next. The service at the bar is slow and often Rude. This is not how you treat a regular customer. Go eat at Sardelli’s

I love this restaurant! Joe behind the bar is awesome! (So is the woman who works behind the bar, unfortunately I didn’t get her name.) Be prepared for some of the best people watching and interesting conversations in Hollywood. The food is fantastic, as well. Order a martini, order anything from the menu, or take the waiter/bartender’s advice — you can’t go wrong.

Never go there ever again. Waited 30 minutes then told it would be another 30 to 45 minutes to be seated or they suggested we leave! Very rude to all walk in customers! So we left! Food is not that good anyway! Just another place to eat mediocre Italian food!

We come down to the ETF conference at the Diplomat each year. So I’ve eaten at pretty much at all of the main spots in and around the hotel. This year I found this restaurant. All the locals come here — it’s in a shopping center so you’d never expect it. Well this is now my number one place. We ate here twice this week. Five star spot. I travel every week so I know the good from the not so good. As Arnold says «I’ll be back»

We are Aventura locals who have gone to Matteo’s at least twice a month. We have supported them through changes in management and ownership. Tonight four of us waited for twenty minutes in spite of having made a reservation which wasn’t honored.
We ordered dinner and waited and waited and waited…
After asking one manager and then another for our dinner, parts of our mesl finally showed up.
Veal was over cooked, pasta was not al dente, rather raw (hard and crunchy), some food was hot others cold.
When we got the manager back he said I checked it took 58 minutes for your meal in the kitchen. We asked is that acceptable he said yes and I watched you eat your meal; we said well by now we were starting
Too many choices for Italian food for a inconsistent mediocre meal and poor management who doesn’t appreciate our business. We will never be back.

If all you want is a lot of food at a moderate price then this is for you. If you want service, not going to happen. If you want passable, not great tasting food, this is for you. If you want RUDE, STANDOFFISH SERVICE, this is your place. If you want tables so close together that getting to your table or to the rest rooms you must navigate through and have other diners get up and move their chairs in, this is for you. Yes this place is always crowded but don’t be taken in, thus is not a quality restaurant. Also be aware, do not order brand name alcohol, other than the bottle you are not getting it but you are paying for it.

You will not get good tasty food here. Tried this place 4 times over 8 months. They do not have a «real» chef. The food is disgusting. I’m really surprised they have not gone out of business yet!
