Kwik Kar

In my previous 5 star review I bragged that this location had never hit me up for unnecessary repairs and services when I went in just for an oil change. Well, that’s no longer true and it’s the reason I’m amending my review from 5 stars to only 1. During my last oil change the worker called me out to my car and said I needed my fuel injectors flushed and some other service. However, he said they were running a special so I could get both things done at once for half the price, which was still over a hundred dollars. (Not including the cost of the oil change.) Since I trusted this business I gave them the go-​ahead and went back to sit in the waiting area. I then watched as three more customers came in after me and the workers gave every single one of them the same spiel. So we were all obviously lied to and ripped off because four people in-​a-​row would not all need these two services that just so happened to be ‘on sale’.
The time-​before-​last that I had an oil change I overheard the owner of this franchise telling a regular customer that he was selling the business. I assume he did so and the new people are crooked, like they are at most of the Kwik Kar locations.
Leaving my original 5 star review below as evidence of how intensely my opinion of this location has dropped:

I’ve been using Kwik Kar for years all over the metroplex and figured they’d all be the same. However, this franchise chain must offer its owners more leniency when it comes to pricing because this location is less expensive for oil changes than any other I’ve been to. Also, they’ve never hit me up for additional repairs and services when I’ve taken my car in for an oil change like they always do at other Kwik Kar locations. I’ve taken my car in for two or three oil changes and an inspection and so far have been very, very pleased. A+ job.

Jay, Noah and the crew at this Kwik Kar location have saved me a lot of money over the years (and I’ve had all of my vehicles serviced and repaired that I’ve owned since the late 1980’s when I moved to Fort Worth taken care of by these guys). I highly recommend this Kwik Kar operation.
