Froyoworld

Nice very clean place. The froyo is great, they always have different flavors to try. Froyo is weighed in order to get your purchase price therefore be careful that you are not walking out paying 20.00 because of your toppings.

Looking for something cold and sweet? Then this is the place for you. Great selection of flavors and a large variety of candies! Parking is awesome and plentiful and there’s plenty of seating. My only gripe with this place is that the price is based on weight. Which in all reality is fair but it gets pricey quick if you’re not mindful.

I really like froyo world and have always gone to the one in waterbury, but I was having a craving for it, and decided to try out the one here in Hamden.
It is a smaller location but essentially the same as other froyo world locations. The cups are near the back, and the machines on the side wall. They have the standard flavors as well as the rotating flavors. I like the way the extras are organized here. They are the same and the bins are always full. The check out area is standard and they have a couple different items in the mini fridge for purchase. The seating is a little bit limited but bonus points for outdoor seating! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Occasionally you will find someone’s child eating from the extras bins but that’s on the parent and not necessarily on the location. A good find in the Hamden plaza, I will definitely be back!

The added crunchies had a stale flavor. Not sure whether it was the peanuts, cookies but it pretty much took over the flavor of the whole dessert in a mild but disappointing way. Never had that happen at Peachwave [not a local shop?]

Perhaps it was the day I went but all the flavors tasted like I was chewing on pure sugar. They frozen yogurt was gritty and over powering.
I enjoyed the options for toppings which is why I even gave it 2 stars. Was not happy with this experience which is sad because I normally like frozen yogurt

Normally I would not review a frozen yogurt shop because ice cream is more my thing and these establishments are a dime a dozen. But Froyoworld is a cut above the others.
After accompanying my wife recently I came away impressed with the variety of toppings available at the bar and was blown away by one of the rotating yogurt flavors.
Almond cheesecake should immediately become a staple flavor at Froyoworld. Put it in the everyday rotation.
It was smooth, creamy and almost ice cream like. I was amazed. Sometimes frozen yogurt can be extremely gritty. Not the case here. This flavor will keep me coming back when I’m in that rare mood for frozen yogurt and I’ll hope I find it.
Overall, Froyoworld uses quality ingredients that help set it apart from its large pack of competitors.

I am not usually a fan of these self-​service yogurt places that have popped up all over. I don’t think there is any reason for yogurt of any kind to require that much effort on my part. I also don’t usually like the selection of random, inferior toppings that serve to do nothing more than add weight. The yogurt itself is usually too sweet and a bad reminder of the fact that you should have just had ice cream. I was pleasantly surprised with FroyoWorld however. The yogurt tasted like it was in fact low-​fat and full of pro-​biotics, but in a good way! The fruit toppings were all fresh and pretty much identical in variety and quality to what is offered at that other frozen yogurt place that Curb Your Enthusiasm made famous. I assembled a frozen yogurt that was identical to what I would normally get at the aforementioned rival company and I got a much larger quantity for about half the price. *insert happy dance here* I will return here several times this summer!

Big fan but they need to compete with the other frozen yogurt places for flavors. Snickerdoodle was awesome tonight! More flavors please!

This place is very consistent, good toppings, clean, flavors change with the season. It definitely hits the spot when it’s hot outside.

If you are thinking of going to Fro Yo world… STOP!!! I went there for the first time tonight and saw at least 6 people take their finger and lick the levers to try out the flavors. When I mentioned this to the people working at the counter; their reply that it is too busy to watch everyone. I saw it with my own eyes and won’t be back.

I went today seeking a spontaneous snack. I like the concept of self serve, and Froyo is set up that way. There are a variety of favors for all taste buds and an assortment of toppings. They do weight your yogurt so there are no set prices. I like the healthy description of Frozen Yogirt on their signature cups and on the wall. I feel good about something I consumed, whereas with ice cream, that is rarely the case. This might be my new favorite indulgence.

We’re fans. Our daughter has tried several frozen yogurt places with us – she drives our selection. Of all the places she’s visited, this is the one she likes the best. Fortunately its in a very convenient location – even close to one of our favorite pizza places (DiMatteo’s), so we’ll often team up Froyoworld with pizza

Good flavors, good toppings, cute décor! Seating on the inside and out! Prices last I saw were .49 cents an ounce. I like that they display the nutrition facts next to the frozen yogurt flavors.

Philosophical concerns about the froyo craze aside, this location is visually pleasing and has a never-​ending assortment of toppings for your by-​the-​ounce froyo desires.
Overall, I just can’t seem to understand the DIY froyo craze. A revolution has started that basically equates to you being able to jump behind the TCBY counter and put your own gummy bears on ridiculously overpriced frozen vessel for candy.
Call me old fashioned, but just have the ice cream already instead of trying to dress up the yogurt (which already packs an ice cream like caloric wallop).

This FroyoWorld location is the epitome of what a frozen yogurt store should be. There were TWELVE flavors to choose from which made picking a very difficult decision but I liked having the options. And the toppings, oh the topping! Every type of fruit, chocolate, candy, syrup you could ever want! They even had JUST the marshmallows from Lucky Charms cereal! (Props to whomever sat there and picked them out!). The staff was super friendly, the place was spotless, and there was plenty of seating indoors and out.
I tried both the cake and cookies-​n-​cream and like a true fatkid, added probably 90% of the topping choices. I also had a little bit of the caramel flavor to taste, which was a little too sweet for my liking but the overall experience was fantastic!

Yes thats right I just wrote a Haiku because that is how much I enjoy my froyo. I never saw myself as a froyo junkie but I have been around block and Froyo World takes the cake. I feel a sense of great hospitality when they introduce new flavors weekly while keeping the basic (but bangen).
Atmosphere is uplifting — place looks likes it is continuously spit shined and the finishes are soothing.
I was relieved when I walked into this place for the first time because there was no loss of quality from the first NH FroYo world. Just more machines and more seating. My buddy Alfredo and I have a ritual — some trout fishing at Quinnipiac followed by cool down at Froyo.
Its no secret that Froyo has mastered the Fro and the Yo. Temperature crystalizes correctly and taste is at the right level. Dont need to eleborate anymore — simply a solid Frozen Yogurt establishment with all the toppings and assorted flavors that you need.
Good job froyo you make a lot of people happy. Except for people on that new drug bathsalts? they dont like froyo

This was my first experience with the new frozen yogurt craze. I had frozen yogurt across the plaza at Ashley’s and thought it was the worst thing on earth. We decided to try froyoworld one night and my initial impression was good. Décor of this place is great, and you can tell the staff really takes pride in keeping the place clean.
I got the strawberry lemonade which was good but overwhelming after awhile. I had my various random toppings, the mochi was an awesome and unexpected surprise. However the real surprise was at the register. I knew I had no idea what I was going to pay, 49 cents an ounce… how do I know how many ounces I’m grabbing? Almost 7 dollars for my frozen yogurt… are you freeking kidding me and that’s not for the smaller of the two sizes completely full.
I feel like the pricing scheme is very deceptive because you have no idea how much it can cost. I may try this place again but I will be getting so much less! I think in that charge is the cup, I do not think they minus the weight of the cup!

another decent self-​serve froyo spot that is pretty easy to get to from rt 15.
places like this seem to be popping up all over, and thats great for the upcoming hot summer months. i had the cake batter/​red velvet froyo swirl and it was pretty good, nice and creamy, sweet, and tasted like cake. they have a large assortment of things you can put on your yogurt — ranging from cereals to fresh fruits and berries, nuts, chips, like most addictive things, it’s sold by the ounce.
since its in a large strip mall parking is pretty easy.

Ample parking and great location.
Wedged in between Panera and Perfect Party (it took over half of the old FYE)
I’ve been stalking this out for the past 2 weeks waiting for their opening.
As we were checking out, the cashier invited us to their official grand opening on June 2^nd.
I’m a regular of GoGreenly in Trumbull and this Froyoworld is just like it only brighter.
White furniture and counters. Hopefully it will stay that way.
The one in New Haven is super itty bitty compared to this one.
Great variety for topping flavors. Love the mochi.
The red velvet flavor tasted like chocolate only tinted reddish.
The original flavor (at 80 – 90 calories per ½ cup) was super cold compared to the rest of the flavors, loved it. This flavor reminded me most of Pinkberry (Fairfield).
Next time I go, I’m signing up for the points reward whatnot (I heard and caught whim that it existed as we walked out)
