Kohl’s

This place was okay. The parking lot was the best part. It was huge. It was a bit difficult to get into and out of, but I can’t hold that against the place, just wanted to point it out incase you ever plan on visiting it. The place was a disaster. Merchandise was hard to find, store was a bit messy, staff was everywhere and talking to each other but never once asked if I needed help, and ringing out was a slow process mostly due to the people infront of me having an issue with the ringing out process but they could have easily called one of the 6 people on the sales floor who seemed like they were doing nothing. If I didn’t have a choice of another Kohl’s in the area, it is worth shopping at for that one particular item, but I would not recommend making a special trip out here.

I love Kohl’s and get all of my work clothes there. They have great prices and you get good deals on most items. But, this one is messy and often has Yankee Candle wall plug-​ins out-​of-​stock. I went there a week ago for my husband. The men’s section was so messy and disorganized. The rest of the store seemed okay though. The staff seemed a little unprofessional. Not all staff, but some, were venting or working in pairs talking loudly about personal things. I love the store, but this one needs a good cleaning. I prefer the Branford one.

This is the emptiest Kohl’s location that I have ever been to. I was in and out of the checkout line in 5 minutes and this was on a Saturday afternoon! Other than that, it’s your typical Kohl’s.

I am a huge Kohl’s fan… got a store credit card many years ago when they first opened in CT and have used it regularly since. They probably have the best customer service of any large clothing retailer that I have ever gone to. I think this is due to the fact that they are based out of WI, where mid-​western values and manners are the standard.
Their coupons are great too, although they always seem to send the good ones right after I’ve bought a lot of items… some kind of marketing ploy, I am convinced. Also they are very intelligent to offer Kohl’s cash because it gets every shopper back into the store to buy more. I know I cannot refuse the temptation.
This particular location is the one I frequent the most. It is typically very busy but I try to go at non-​peak times. Clothes can sometimes be a mess on the racks, especially the clearance ones. Lines can be long on the weekends, but usually move pretty quick. I always pay my bill in the store too… so convenient, You just bring your check and bill stub to the checkout and voila… bill is paid. Very easy and saves a mailing stamp. Especially great when you have a bill due ASAP that won’t get mailed in time.

Went here to get wedding clothes for my significant other and we left with half of what we wanted. Our checklist was: Black Pants, A shirt, a Tie and dress shoes. We got a nice pair of dockers shoes for a great price and a tie at an okay price. There were a lot of pants in the mens area yet hardly any in his size, and those that were in his size looked… abysmal. Awful place to go for a dress shirt as well as selection is limited and everything is in those packages that he despises and even from that there are few options.
I doubted this place for dress clothes but I was unfortunately pushed into going anyways. Employees were hard to find for any help. Meh, Kohls is only good for when you’re looking for cheap clothing.

I only shop at Kohl’s if a 15% coupon has been emailed to me.
On this occasion a few days ago, I had a «$ 10off gift, good on anything in the store.» It was mailed to me. As I’m checking out the cashier hands it back to me after applying it, I said that’s ok I don’t need it. But it’s still good she says.
So at this point I kind of made her feel dumb and said, «Isn’t it worth $ 10 one time only? You’re saying I can come in everyday and take $ 10 off my purchase?»
Come on people, I shouldn’t be telling you how to do your job.
The young women’s section at the front of the store always has a wonderful season rotation of items.

Ugh. How do I even start???
Basically the story is pretty simple. Needed a cute dress for a friends wedding, left with one. Got to the wedding, sat down, heard a loud thud. I know I did not gain THAT much weight to hear a loud noise: P Anyways, turns out the theft detection device was still attached!!! I had been walking around for close to 3 hours with it on, I was MORTIFIED. I was so upset. I couldn’t bear to wear it anymore, so I went to the ladies room and took it off and it put a huge hole in it. I liked the hole better than the huge piece. It was in such an inconspicuous place, that is why from the get-​go I couldn’t see it!
I went to bring it back and the woman was rude. She thought it was funny when i told her it was attached to me and people saw it. She giggled. I got a little mouthy with her when she said «well what you wanna do bout it?» I said I want a full refund, because this is not how a dress should look. She finally gave it to me and refunded my cash, but I was still mad. LOL
I hope that my next experience is better. I love this place for their coupons, but if I do not have one, I do not shop there.

Kohl’s always has a good selection of clothes and home items. If you give them your e-​mail address, they will e-​mail coupons. So you never really have to go there without a coupon-​usually 15% or 20% off the bill…
The lines are always long, and I wish they would add more cashiers… you can wait and wait and wait and wait…

Gosh, i love Kohl’s so much I ended up signing up for their credit card. I mean think about it, the deals you get by just putting it on your charge card can save you an extra twenty percent. Sweet right? I went here the other day with the bf and we ended up getting 3 pairs of pants, a pair of swim shorts, and two shirts for $ 98.77! What a deal! We ended up saving $ 134 just because I used my charge card, well and because they were having a huge sale to begin with.
Overall the store is always very tidy and well maintained. The lines are a bit slow though, do to lack of man power… damn economy. But other than that all the dressing rooms are clean and everything is put in the right places. I have had nothing but positive experiences here.
