I really want to like this place because it is so close to my house but every single time I have been to this bar it is noisy, loud and the wait staff goes into hiding. I’ve been on a Tuesday and a Saturday, to me it doesn’t matter which day you go because you’re not going to get serviced here. Both times I went with my boyfriend and the waitress staff will freely flirt with my boyfriend in front of me and act as if I am not there, except for the one time the waitress decided to touch my buttox, neither of which were welcome with me. The drinks were ok and the food was overcooked and burnt. Save yourself the horrible service and experience, go to another bar that isn’t crowded where you can get multiple drinks through the night instead of fighting for your first.

This place confuses me. The word«bistro» gives you one picture, a quiet café, maybe? Fancy snack foods and coffee? The word«bar» gives you another; loud, a lot going on, strangers chatting. Does Blend seamlessly combine these two concepts? Honestly, after all the thought I’ve obviously put into it, I’m still not sure. But they have trivia that isn’t on Thursday like every other bar, so I’m giving it 4 stars. They feature a flight of 4 craft beers for about $ 8, which is the defining feature in my visits. The beers they have to choose from change every so often, so you’re always trying new things. The beer usually isn’t the type I enjoy(lots of IPAs and nitros seem to make the list), so I may find 2 I would like to try and then scramble to find 2 more. I’m adventurous though, so this is okay, but it still leaves me wanting most nights.

My friend’s and I come here often on Thursday night there’s always a good crowd and music. The food is delish and the price of drinks is reasonable. The bartenders are all very nice!

Great beer selection but not enough for my friends and I to return. Slow service, foods horrible(which is shocking due to Brother’s food being pretty good). Split wings, pretzel bites, bar pie & chicken panini. Pizza was burnt and awful, paninis at wawa are much better and the wings, bites tasted like they came out of the frozen section at acme. The staff also needs to get off their cell phones, perhaps the service would be better if they all weren’t playingnon fb or whateve they’re doing. Definitely not my kind of place, gets so loud in there you can’t even have a conversation with the person next to you. Left and went to Bills, which was much more crowded/fun yet you can actually converse and hear.

Went there for a beer and pizza with my bestie and I was not disappointed! They had a ton of craft beers including wells banana bread and stone milk stout! Their margarita bar pies were delicious and the place was lively. Lots of locals. Fun night!

Came in to order a beer they did not have the beer I was looking for. The mean old lady behind the bar gave me a face and asked me and my friend in a nasty tone«do you know what u want » we took our buiness elsewhere. Try wildflowers

Mixed review because the service and trivia night were fantastic, but the food kinda sucked. I had the Italiano flatbread. It was barely lukewarm when it came out. Also, just not what I expected, kinda sad looking and not fun to eat. The sandwiches looked good, the pizzas seemed underwhelming too. My drink for the night was their Hawaiian skyy which was super fruity. Tasted basically like juice, not very strong. The waitress was really kind and attentive but did seem to get frazzled and a little slower when the bar became crowded. Trivia on Tuesdays at 8pm is a good time, the two hostesses are so fun! Opportunities to win some prizes. A bit long though for me at 2 hours. The bar was definitely more lively this night. Previous times I’ve been, it’s been pretty slow and not very crowded and Blend isn’t a huge place to begin with.

This place generally has a solid beer selection(as it should, given it is a beer bar). The bartenders are pleasant and more than happy to give you a sample and guide your tastes. Why only three stars: two reasons — the food and the ambience. The food is good but not overly substantial — I have had the Napoli(sandwich fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers and pesto) and the vegetable wrap. Both come with tortilla chips, which is a let down of a side if I’ve ever had one. The ambience is a real miss for me. The location right is next to Rt. 33(you can sit and watch the cars whiz by) and the inside is just not cozy. I wish it were darker and had more of a homey feel. That said, it’s a solid choice if you’re in the area. Further, if you’re a member of NJ Craft Beer( ), you can get 10% off beer and 15% off food.

If you love your craft beers, Blend could warrant additional stars, as there is a huge selection on draft and in bottles. If beer is more of a background music for your meal or social life, three stars is about right. I stopped in this week for a light lunch and sat at the bar with a couple of other dudes. I went with their on tap Apple Cider and the Special Salad. At $ 6.50 for the large glass of cider I realized that I should stick to drinking water with lunch. It just adds to much expense to the meal at midday. It was fine, but in no way distinguished. My salad was pretty good, with a variety of greens and Grilled Chicken. There was plenty to eat and I was satisfied with both taste and quality. The $ 9. was probably a bit above the value quotient, but I have no real complaint about it. Service was friendly and timely. $ 5 Bar Pies @ Happy Hour might draw me back for a second look, but otherwise this is not a place I would frequent for lunch.

Great selection of beers, however the service is subpar. The people working there seem pretty miserable to be there. Drink specials are okay depending on the night.

Another visit to Blend Bar and Bistro, another fun afternoon(and evening). Antonio, and his fine bartending and kitchen staff, always seem to make the visit more-enjoyable with each visit. After perusing the menu, I settled on the boneless chicken wings and Arlene had the quesadellas. Both of us enjoyed the food. Washing everything down with one of the many craft beers on tap, we had the opportunity to get into a conversation with someone who worked on the crew of Saturday Night Live. We also bumped into a few people who I had the opportunity to work with at the State of NJ. It’s a small world after all! Too much fun, too little time. Thanks, Antonio for the good time! You run a cool Bistro.

Guacamole was amazing. Greek salad with chicken was good. Watermelon martini was delicious!(And I don’t normally do martinis). Waitress was very helpful and attentive. Solid 4 stars for this place. I’ll definitely be back!

Overall a 3 for me. Based on beer selection alone, more like a 5. Their selection of craft beers is extensive and exciting! When my local friend suggested we go for happy hour I was indifferent and rolled along. From the outside, I was definitely expecting more a divey vibe, but the place is really nice inside with a decent bar and high tops. The staff was very friendly and conversational. Their menu seemed alright, we only ordered a couple munchies. But the tomato and mozzarella was great with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and pita bread. Their drink menu had lots of specialty cocktails, martinis and beer cocktails too. I wanted the dirty flower sooooo badly but they didn’t have any wheat beer on tap so I’ll have to return and have it another time!

Blend was my friend’s choice for an after-dinner drink. He claimed they had one of the best craft beer lists in the area. I chose a Weyerbacher Canis Minor from their numbered list and was quite happy with my selection. I thought this was a fairly average place overall. It didn’t really have any character to it. You pull into a strip mall(okay, okay, it’s in Jersey — I’ll cut it a break there), walk in, and first see a fridge of beers for purchase. That’s cool. Then you come to tables and the bar. TVs overhead. Nothing compelling. Plus, our server came to the table several times to ask if we needed anything… to the point that it was almost annoying. Just let me enjoy my beer! I suppose if I lived in the Trenton/Hamilton Square area, I’d have a different opinion. But for now, I’ll pass on a return visit.

One of our friends from the area is a beer lover so we came here to celebrate his birthday on a Thu night. They have a very good selection of craft brews in bottles and a couple of decent ones on tap so this place got picked quite naturally. The last time we’d been here, we did not get to sample the food because there was a long wait for a table and barely any standing room. Yesterday being a weekday, we got seated right away. Among the four of us, we got three beer flights and two draft pints to drink. The beer flights had four 5oz selections. For food, we went with a Margherita Pizza, a steak flat-bread and two chicken wraps. We enjoyed the beer but the food was reminiscent of what one gets served at an average local bar. The wraps were fair from what our friends mentioned but the bread for the steak flat-bread tasted like store bought at best. The pizza was fair with a crust that felt slightly doughy in some parts. Would recommend that the owners put in more effort to take the food menu to the next level. We would come back only for the beer and not for the food if at all.

It’s a hard decision giving it an overall rating. If I could, I would break down the ratings into 5 stars for beer selection, 3.5 for cocktails, and 3 for food. The bar has over 200 types of beer, so it obviously had a huge selection! I’ve never heard or seen 90% of those beers considering I just turned 21 recently, so it was a great experience coming here and tasting a couple of beers with my girls during happy hour! My friend ordered a mango mojito, it tasted like a regular mojito with barely any mango flavors or mango fruits. We asked the server to add more mango flavor thinking they had mango syrup, but in reality the alcohol had the mango flavor. If we wanted more flavor we would have to buy a mango flavored shot… it was kind of disappointing cause she wanted something fruity but it was only minty. For food, I ordered a personal margarita pizza for $ 5 and my friend ordered a spinach artichoke dip with chips! I enjoyed the pizza and it was a very good price! I could not finish it and I shared it with my friends. But my friends thought that it was too saucy, not enough cheese, and too little basil. It’s like the expected bar food! After all, it’s not a restaurant! The spinach and artichoke was actually kind of bad. It was very cheesey and flavorless! You couldn’t see much of the spinach or artichoke! If you were hungry and had to eat, I would recommend the personal pizza!

First time here and we came from Rat’s so there is no comparison … Not a bad spot to get a drink and a small bite to eat. Don’t go for an impressive menu, but the beer selection is pretty good. The wives were not eating but we got a mushroom & pepperoni pizza as well as a Spicy Grilled Cheese — not bad at all. The place is open and airy and a little too noisy for my taste but I think it is looking for the younger crowd. All in all, not a bad place.
