I now remember why I stopped coming here. Good food but there’s always screaming children(yuck) and is a small cramped restaurant.

Best Chinese Buffet restaurant in Hammond! My experience in this restaurant has been always great! The food is very fresh and clean, tasty! What’s more, the price is only 7 bucks for an adult. We always go there for family union, which is just like our second home. The server there are pretty nice and I would continue to go there as long as I still live in Hammond.

This was my friends experience today: she found a huge bug in her togo order! She posted a picture! Don’t eat here! «Update: I just had an altercation with the owner. She told me they don’t give refunds but could give me another plate of food. I told her I didn’t want anymore of their food since I just threw it up earlier today with a bug in it. She kept saying she won’t give me a refund until I said loudly that I could have called the board of health first but instead I called them about the bug in my food. And that they should treat their customers better than this. Then she slammed open the cash register and tossed me my money and told me to leave.»

A very good buffet. Food was very fresh and hot, so much so with that it was still steaming on my plate. Also has good flavor. Vegetables were crisp and not over done at all. Staff was friendly and prompt. Though I do wish they would label the food(though it’s pretty standard Chinese buffet food) it’s just a very solid Chinese buffet.

The restaurant has been around for years in Hammond, and will continue to serve the town of Hammond for years to come. This is a family run place, with hard working people who devote their everything in order to make a living. Customers always come first. While not everyone will be happy with the service provided, saying things like unwillingness to serve a certain population is really unfair. There were no such comments made or anything said along that lines. If you extrapolated that comment by assumption, it is not doing China Palace any justice. Sandra and Jenny, I apologize for an unpleasant experience, we will try our best to provide better service if you two are willing to be patrons in the future. I appreciate all your feedbacks, and if you have any more concerns, please talk to our manager or anyone from management. Thank you.

Extremely popular at lunch time get there before or after rush time! Parking is hard to get during lunch. They are pretty busy during supper time also. The food is really good. The have a wide selection. You can also choose fresh items and have the chef cook it for you. If your into sushi they have it. I haven’t tried it. They have desserts, fruit and ice cream. I’ve never had to wait for seating.

As far as chinese buffets go, this place is a winner in my book. I’m not sure I could ever give a chinese buffet 5 stars, simply because of the nature of what it is compared to other restaurants. Now, if there were a competition composed solely of chinese buffets, yes I would absolutely rank the palace at the top. They’ve put up with a lot of shit from me and my drunk friends and been absolutely tolerant of it, no complaints at all. When we were wasted and full and they stuffed all the shit left over on everyones plates into a bowl and put it at my spot when I went to piss, the waitress joked with me about eating it when I got back. Being trashed, it was hilarious and I love her for it. They have excellent sushi for a buffet — its actually made fresh, not premade shit that sits out for 5 hours before you get to it. And they have those little soy-wrapped cone things whose name escapes me but are delicious. The rest of the buffet fare is average, I usually fill up on the sushi when I go. I havent been for a while so Im not sure what the price is at, but considering sushi is usually $ 5 a roll minimum, anything under $ 15 is a great deal for me cause Im probably eating 12 rolls when I go. They have good ice cream too, its the scoop one not the soft serve, only catch is you have to try and get to it before some obnoxious little unsupervised 5 year old fuck decides to dip his hands into it. Thats not the restaurants fault though, they shouldn’t have to hire an ice cream nazi just because fat lazy people in hammond don’t watch their kids. At any rate, eat here. You’ll thank yourself, probably. Unless they’ve changed owners recently since Ive last been. Then just get drunk and it’ll taste better, I promise.

This is the typical fare for a Chinese buffet, but at lunch they are constantly putting out food, so nothing sits out too long. The wait staff are very friendly and polite.
