I get delivery from Mr Joe’s a few times a month, and they really have a great thing going. Who would have thought you could get GOOD sushi delivered out here in Ponchatoula? I usually order the Good Time roll or the Dynamite roll, my wife gets a teriyaki chicken /​sushi combo, and my kids love their sesame chicken. The fish always tastes fresh and delivery times are usually reasonable. They try to over-​estimate how long you should expect to wait, and if it’s going to be a while they seem to be pretty honest about that too. We’re definitely spoiled having this place so close!

Ordered sushi for delivery at 6:45. Didn’t show up till 8:20. Cold food extremely pissed off. Next time I’ll just pick it up myself FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Awesome sushi! Loved the marble roll! My husband loves the spicy soup with shrimp, great flavor If you like spicy this is a must have!

Awesome food, service and atmosphere! If you haven’t been here you gotta come out! Try the marble roll… it’s fantastic!!! Curry chicken was one of the best we have had. Olivia was our waitress… ask for her if she’s there… you won’t be disappointed;)

Overall, the food was pretty good– but the prices seem a little high. I was a little annoyed that they charged me 50 cents for a tiny container of Dukk sauce– especially since my order total was almost $ 40-​. Since I live only a couple minutes from Mr Joes– it’s easy for me, but there are better places in town for much cheaper pricing.

The rolls, soups, sushi, and salads have been consistently good and their prices are very reasonable. Sometimes the service is slow and we get a waiter that is not quite as knowledgeable as others but I suspect that once they settle in and gain long term employees, this will also improve. It is a bit strange eating Asian food in a restaurant that is still decorated like the old Bavarian restaurant that it once was. Still, it is clean and the people are friendly.

This is a great twist on an old favorite. By old favorite, I mean the location is a former German restaurant/​pastry shop.
So it’s kind of funny to see it as a sushi place now. With that said, it is a great sushi restaurant and a really nice location to enjoy sushi takeout or dine in
They have a back room you can reserve if you’d like to have a large group or a party which is so much fun. The back room is nice with lots of windows and air conditioning in the hot summer
The variety of rolls and the idea of making your own sushi roll from choices on the menu is nothing but delicious.
The only thing I was disappointed in, from a restaurant that serves Asian food, was that the Iced tea was stale. That’s not too hard to fix.

Ponchatoula is so lucky to have such a great sushi restaurant. I make it a point to stop here every time I come through. Too bad I live over 30 miles away. I would definitely come ear here weekly. Looks like a really sweet place to eat out side when the weather is great. I’ve only do take out and the presentation is nice even in my Togo box.
