Good Lord. I don’t have the stomach for this! We had slim pickings in these parts, and basically«rock-paper-scissored» on Santa Fe for lunch. It was #3 in town for lunch, and less food chain-Y! But what do you do when you’re too nice to throw your hands up and rush for the nearest exit, or when sending it back again won’t help because you know this is their best, and you come to grips with the fact that you’re literally sitting in the middle of #FoodieHell?! I’ll tell you… You nibble what you can, push things around the plate, and drink your water. I don’t know what was worse… When I saw that Tilapia was on the menu as a «featured dish?»(Yeesh! Really Tilapia… Gross! Google it.) When the chips for the queso and chips appetizer we ordered were stale, and the 2nd «fresh batch» that Susan brought out was also stale?(Ay dios mio!) When the free yeast rolls for table service(and I love good rolls) were warm and freshly buttered, but still didn’t taste freshly baked?(Just plain bad.) To add insult, I watched other tables graze on the rolls like they were the best thing ever! Or, when I couldn’t find one thing on the menu that looked appetizing so I decided to say, «The hell with it!» and order a deep fat fried appetizer platter for lunch???(Because, how can you mess that up?) After all of the above, I knew we were in for it from the start, and we definitely should’ve left. But we were meeting another party, so we sacrificed ourselves for the sake of convenience. Poor Susan, our kind server, tried. She tried really hard! Hubs had the driest chicken breast I’ve ever seen,(and he basically force-fed me to confirm the dryness) so Susan took it back and«take 2» came out a little better. My platter was majorly greasy, and bleh! I just couldn’t deal! Susan brought me a box when she saw that my entire platter was basically sitting on the plate untouched. You should have seen the shock on her face when I told her I didn’t need it. She took the box and my platter away. Ultimately, I’m pleased to announce that I managed to escape with my life! Thankfully, as we were just passing through, I can’t imagine ever going back. Like, ever. Disclaimer: Yes! I’m kind of a food snob of sorts, and I can bend for average food, but mediocre food(even after do-overs) simply won’t do.

We enjoy the food and the service always good. We occasionally come here after Mass for dinner.

Glad this isn’t a local place for me because regardless of the location I’m only going to eat here once. Waiter just wasn’t very good, attentive, just went through the motions to get you out the door. Not like it’s busy so there’s not an excuse to do so. Anyways, I’m glad it’s over.

This place has great customer service and great employees but the thing they lack on is the food. 1– Deep fried pickle too oily and the crust falling apart and soaked in oil. 2– the fully baked potato was over salted 3– the coleslaw was not pleasant to eat it was very bitter. 4-the steak was cooked to perfection but it didn’t have any flavor, like they didn’t seasoned it or not enough. 5-the buns were really good Overall will not be coming back unless they fix their cooking skills

Stopped in here earlier on for a Valentine’s Day treat and this time the service and food were better! I give a lot of credit to the waitresses running in and out when we were seated as busy as it was for this special occasion day! Our server«Nicco» was working up a sweat and that is very understandable he deserves a raise or top pay. I had the combo fajitas sizzling they were fantastic my brother had the chicken fried steak and he devoured it. I love coming to this place because of the tex-mex that I missed back home in Houston.

Bland, bland, bland. I got a steak here and regretted it as soon as it hit the table. It wasn’t cooked right and it had the grey pallor of an extra on the Walking Dead. I had gotten onions and mushrooms added to it. The onions were still crunchy and tasted pretty raw. Awful. I managed to power through it, but I really didn’t want to. It was the first time in a long time that I found myself craving some steak sauce to put on the meat. My fiancé had ordered the vegetable quesadillas and got similarly undercooked vegetables. The whole thing felt pretty rushed and without any care about the quality of the food.

Was disappointed on this trip ! The waitress was constantly sniffling while serving, as if she had allergies or a head cold! The dinner rolls which are usually sooo good we’re not even warm ! Everything seems to be suffering from a drop in the usual great dining experience ! Now this location seems to be almost as bad as my first trip to the coursey location ! This is my favorite location, so I’m really hoping they were just having an off day .When the rest or the meal finally arrived, it didn’t get any better ! The chicken and the ribs were So dry and over cooked ! The baked sweet potato was very under cooked ! There was mold on the décor at our table !!! This could not have been a worse dining experience!

Good every day chain-type food and experience. Have some great specials and prices. This place feels like an amalgamation of Chili’s, Logan’s, and Texas Roadhouse in one. The Cajun chicken pasta is an EXACT match of what you find at Chili’s.

Had the Nacho Grande with Steak. Awesome except they dumped a little too much salt on it. Other than that, awesome food.

We tried the pork sandwich and the ribs. Both were very fatty. Taste was good, but a quarter of the meat was fat.

Food took longer than average to come out and was luke warm when it arrived. The waitress was inattentive as my entire table went without drinks for a decent portion of the meal. Overall not a great or even good experience.

We are not able to make it here that often but when we do it’s always a good time. Food is prepared like we ask, wait staff always friendly, and the manager always checks in. Great for dinner, lunch, or date night!

Great place I found while visiting Hammond, La. The steaks and ribs are on point. I take the drive from New Orleans to have lunch, after church on Sundays. Now I did have issues with the salmon, but I’ll take fault for ordering seafood at a STEAK restaurant. The staff are friendly & funny. I still take the trip. It’s well worth my while.

Service was fast and great! I had specific specification on how I wanted my food, they fixed it without a problem. Staff was very friendly. Food was delicious! Best onion rings I have ever eaten! They were very reasonable on their prices.

Nothing to write home about but they do have decent food. If you’re looking for the overly-rustic stylized Texas joint, here it is. Loudest restaurant I’ve been to in my life. My family and I could only just stare at each other and the cowboy-kitsch everywhere because we couldn’t hear a word each other might say…3 feet apart. Absurd. Food took a while to come and my aunts order arrived wrong. The waiter being told same apologized and made it right. After waiting another 20 minutes to come to the table. They make a decent margarita. Not good enough reason to go back, but I won’t necessarily avoid it. Just… meh.

We’ve stopped in here a couple of times coming back from Baton Rouge. It’s your basic Texas themed chain restaurant located on the outer edge of the mall at Hammond. There is always a bucket of peanuts waiting for you when you sit down to a table. The server comes by with a basket of fresh rolls and honey butter, along with the menu. I tend to order the chicken fried steak, with white gravy over the mashed potatoes and green beans. My complaint is there never seems to be enough gravy. My wife has tried several items but seems to prefer the chicken slider & burger slider combo. She gets her protein, but doesn’t have to deal with a lot of bread. I do make the sacrifice of eating the rolls so she won’t be tempted by them. There is a dessert menu, but I never pay attention to it as I’m generally full by that time. The service is friendly and the place is clean.
