Gugie’s use to be the breakfast hotspot for the old timer Hammontonians. Today, it is different then it was when Joe ran the place. My father and I would take turns every Saturday between Joe Gugie’s and Auggie’s out on the White Horse Pike in Hammonton, NJ. I use to love going there with my dad and hearing all of the old timers talk about their hunting stories or talking about the Phillies, Eagles, or Flyers over 10 cups of coffee.
The breakfast homefries here were to die for, and the eggs were always delicious. I wish some Saturday’s I could go back in-​time to the Joe Gugie’s that would have gotten 5 stars. Today, it only gets 2 (and that might be 1 star too generous.)
