Great pan Asian /mixed Asian food. Roti canai curry app is amazing as is Peking duck main course. Service a bit slow but with it

Best Asian food in the East End. Pad Thai is excellent, as are the Basil Spring roll and Lettuce Wrap. Sushi can be a bit hit and miss, but when it’s good, it’s very good

Great for dining out or ordering take out. The atmosphere is comfortable, the staff is pleasant and always present. You’re never waiting for them. I’m a fan of all the sushi, the Pad Thai and Fuket rice. Their basil spring rolls. I could go on and on. Out of all the local places for Asian cuisine, this is my go to spot.

3 years since my last review and I still consider Matsulin to be the best Asian restaurant on Long Island. the place feels great with a few recent added touches. low lighting, beautiful sushi bar etc make it the perfect package. try the harp duck… nobody does it better. hint: ask for your favorite classic Chinese dish even if its not on the menu… they will accommodate you in most cases.

I wouldn’t call this place either Chinese, sushi or Pan Asian. Actually I’m not sure what they are other than very pricey with relatively small portions. The food was eatable but very far from good in my estimation. The service was well below par and the restaurant was far from crowded. Not a top choice!

I frequent Matsulin a lot for takeout. They are a bit pricey but totally worth it. Try the Chicken Teryaki!

Well we come back 1.5yrs later and the place wasn’t even half full and the service just as slow. After ordering 35 min wait for sodas and apps. Dinner wasn’t as slow. The food was decent but not worth the wait since there are so many better places with good service. Never again.

On my way to delivery job, i looked up and saw this restaurant with its foreign name. I called and ask what kind foods they serve. The man on the other line with angry tone of voice said i have to come here and look at the menu to know because he had 100 of dishes. He hung up before i can inquire any more. I called back and he even got more upset and hung up with a harder slam on the phone. Wow. This is a business in Hampton Bays?

We tried this spot for the first time the other night and couldn’t wait. We were seated right away in a table for two in-between another table for two and a large party of 8. It’s a small space, so we didn’t mind being crammed in between two parties, but there were other tables open that would have been more comfortable. Our server took the drink order and came back right away with our drinks. Unfortunately, the parties on either side of us were in the middle of agreements and made the dining experience uncomfortable. The party to the right were fighting with each other and the party to the left were angry because only ½ the table received their dinners while the other ½ were still waiting over 10 minutes for their entrees. So ½ the table needed to start eating because the food was getting cold and the other ½ were waiting. That’s not a good experience when you are trying to have a meal together as a group. After 20 minutes of waiting for our orders to be taken, we walked out. No one ever came to take our appetizer or entrée order. There was one server talking with a party in the corner and another server refilling water glasses the entire time we waited. We paid for our diet coke and left. What a disappointment in service and atmosphere. We really wanted to enjoy this spot because it is close to home and the menu looked great.

I loved the lettuce wraps and the salad! I recommend the ginger dressing too… Good choice for Asian in hampton bays with lots of different types(Malaysian, Japanese, Chinese).

Had an amazing experience! The owner sat down with me as I was by myself and then gave me a tempura banana dessert for free. I got a Thai mango curry that came in a mango. It had soy chicken which sounds iffy at first but was actually pretty good. I would highly recommend this place and will get the pad Thai next time per the owners suggestion.

Overall… Just meh. Not terrible, but by no means great. Service was awkward and food was average. Pretty pricey for what you get.

Came here on a Sunday night. I ordered Pad Thai Noodles, OMG. One of the best things I ever ate in my life. It was too good! If you go there make sure you order it! My boyfriend ordered sushi and it was just as good, but the Thai food was on point! Good job Matsulin :)

The best duck in Long Island is the Peking duck at Matsulin in Hampton Bays Having experienced Peking duck in the best restaurants in NYC, we always come back to Matsulin and are always satisfied. The food is great and the service also.

This place is so good with many types of cuisine. Chinese. Japanese. Thai. Vietnamese. Great seafood dishes with amazing flavors, garlic, lemongrass and thai chili’s. I have tried all the different types of food from the 4 different menu choices, and I am amazed at how they get it right all the time. Only constructive comment, owner needs to recognize returning customers.

The food and atmosphere are worth 4 stars, but the wait makes it 3. Wide variety of food. Big menu with a lot of sushi, but if you order sushi be prepared to wait! Our appetizers and entrees were served very quickly, but we waited almost an hour for 2 sushi rolls.

Average sushi. Their Chinese dishes taste like the food you’ll pay a quarter for in a bad Brooklyn neighborhood. Overpriced. Won’t be back.

Stopped in for a late lunch on Monday. Place was empty, which is not a bad thing considering the time we were there. We got fast and prompt service! They have an impressive menu which spans pretty much the entire asian coast. Food was good/great. I tried the house special fried rice and some of their rolls. Rolls were delicious, but not inventive. The nori was different from any place i’ve had on Long Island. So much flavor! This alone made me want to go back. the shari is good but on the small side, the fish was meaty and fresh, great texture. The portions are on the small side for the price, but it’s the«hamptons» so i guess it’s par for the area. They don’t use fresh/real wasabi, which is standard for USA… Fried rice was light and flaky just how i like it, but still a bit oily to be considered perfect. the scallops were a nice touch. The chinese sausage didn’t sing in my mouth though, so minus 1 star for that and the oilyness.
